The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

416: Chapter 416 Unclaimed PropertyHan Jingyang firmly gripped Shi Xiaoya’s shoulder: ”Don’t worry about them.”

Shi Xiaoya was anxious: ”But those are our spoils of war!”

”Let them keep them for now.”

”I see,” Shi Xiaoya suddenly realized: ”How cunning.”

”This is called being wise; Zhuge Liang played it the same way back then.”

”We still need to speed up; we have to catch them later.”

”With these people, even if we let them run for dozens of kilometers, they won’t be able to escape.”

Han Jingyang actually had quite a few Tracking-type items on him.

It’s just that few of them had active skills.

Moreover, their levels were relatively low. Tracking someone like Huang Jianshe might be beyond his capabilities, but Tracking ordinary people and average martial artists was quite easy; it was just a matter of spending a bit more time.

Therefore, Han Jingyang was not panicked at all.

By past eleven o’clock.

Han Jingyang’s group encountered the people who had snatched his spoils.

Han Jingyang waved his hand with a smile: ”Thanks, thank you for your chivalrous assistance. Otherwise, we don’t know how much longer we would have had to dig.”

The middle-aged man leading the group asked with a straight face: ”What do you mean?”

Han Jingyang chuckled: ”Friend, don’t play dumb. You know better than anyone what I mean. How about this, considering that it’s not easy for anyone, you can each take one item, and hand over the rest!”

As soon as he said this, Shi Xiaoya, Liu Jing, Yang Jinyuan, and Xu Xin were all anxious.

”Hubby, why should we give it to them?”

”No way, that’s letting them off too easily!”

”They should hand it all over!”

”Little brother, there’s no such rule in the martial arts world.”

Han Jingyang waved his hand and smiled: ”I know, but one should be magnanimous. These friends came from far away and worked hard in the dark for half a day. It’s really tough on them, so we must show some appreciation regardless. Otherwise, if word gets out, where would I, Han Jingyang, put my face?”

Saying this, he looked directly into the middle-aged man’s eyes: ”Friend, I’m being generous enough, right?”

The middle-aged man shook his head: ”This is treasure we dug up ourselves. Why should we only keep one piece?”

Han Jingyang remained smiling: ”This isn’t treasure; it’s my spoils of war.”

The middle-aged man’s attitude gradually hardened: ”Han Jingyang, don’t bully others with your power. These items are clearly ownerless objects scattered in the wild. You can’t claim them as yours just because you arrived a few hours early. You need to be reasonable.”

The smile on Han Jingyang’s face gradually faded: ”I’m not being reasonable?”

The middle-aged man took a step back: ”If you were being reasonable, you wouldn’t be using force to snatch our gains.”

”Exactly, these are things we dug up in the wild. If we have to hand them over, it should be to the state. By what right do you, Han Jingyang, demand we hand them over?”

”This isn’t the way to be a tyrant.”

”Are we bottom-feeders not worthy of living?”

”If I make three thousand a month, do I have to hand over two thousand to you too?”

”Han Jingyang, if you have the guts, kill us all! Then you can take it all!”

”There should be a limit to bullying people!”

”Han Jingyang, I beg you, give us a way to survive. Do you really have to force us to our deaths?”

”Come on, the item is in my hand. Slash me here, cut off my hand, and it’s yours!”

”Shameless! How could there be such scum in Quancheng!”

The middle-aged man’s unyielding attitude instantly angered the others. They turned red-eyed, stiffened their necks, some glaring angrily, some filled with grief and indignation, some looking pitiful.

For a moment, they suppressed Han Jingyang.

Shi Xiaoya’s jade-like face instantly flushed red, and she suddenly drew her katana: ”Bullshit!”

”The fact is, we were just searching for treasure, and you came up and forced us to hand over our haul. If this isn’t robbery, what is?”

”These are our spoils!”

”Say whatever you want, the fact remains that these are ownerless objects scattered in the wild!”

”You, you...”

”According to your logic, we could also say that what you have in your hands are our spoils, and you should hand them all over too!”

”You bastard, I’ll kill you—”

”Come on, kill me, and let everyone in the world see what kind of person Han Jingyang from Quancheng really is. If you want to silence the public, you’ll have to kill everyone in the world!”

Han Jingyang pressed down on Shi Xiaoya’s shoulder, pulling her behind him, and stared coldly at the middle-aged man: ”I’ll only ask one question: who sent you?”

The middle-aged man suddenly put on a smiling face: ”No one sent us. We just came to dig for treasure because we heard there were good things here, but we didn’t have time due to our schedule. See, we gathered our team yesterday and came. We originally planned to start today, but then we received news that you, Mr. Han, were also digging for treasure, so we got up in the middle of the night, afraid that you would dig up all the good things by yourself...”

Saying this, he paused: ”How about this? Let’s both take a step back. Neither of us will hold the other responsible. You take your things and leave, we take our things and leave. Once we leave, we can still be good friends.”

Han Jingyang said coldly: ”Impossible!”

”Then how about this? You pay to buy this batch of goods from us. We’re just after the money anyway, and we’d just sell them somewhere else when we get back. Selling them to you at a 20% discount—Mr. Han, I’m showing great sincerity.” The middle-aged man turned around and asked: ”What do you all think?”

”No objections!”

”Boss Wang, we’ll listen to you.”

”A 20% discount is fine, it’s letting him off easy.”

”It’s called a 20% discount, but it’s actually 30% or even 40% off. These are top-tier dharma instruments; they will only appreciate in value, and there’s a lot of room for growth. If it weren’t for you, Boss Wang, I wouldn’t be willing to do this loss-making deal.”

”Han Jingyang, we’ve already made many concessions. Don’t be ungrateful; not everyone is afraid of you!”

”We stand upright and walk straight. We’re only willing to negotiate with you because you are Han Jingyang. Don’t think we’re actually afraid of you.”

”Even if we were afraid of you, we wouldn’t submit to your tyranny. Han Jingyang, we are all martial arts people. Who doesn’t have a bit of hot blood in them? If you push us too far, we’ll smash these things rather than leave them for you!”

Han Jingyang didn’t even glance at the others, staring intently at the middle-aged man leading them, and said coldly: ”I’ll repeat myself one more time: each of you pick one item to take, and put everything else down!”

The middle-aged man took a deep breath: ”Han Jingyang, do you really have to make things difficult for us?”

Han Jingyang suddenly roared: ”I’m done being polite with you bastards! Put everything down, not a single piece is allowed to be taken! Take one, and I’ll cut off a hand; take two, and I’ll cut off your legs; take three, and I’ll chop off all your limbs! Anyone who tries to snatch them by force will be killed on the spot!”

He turned around and shouted: ”Liu Jing, Shi Xiaoya, Yang Jinyuan, Xu Xin, Zhou Changzhu, surround them for me! Don’t let a single one get away, don’t let a single item be taken. Search them one by one. If they don’t cooperate, kill them!”

He added: ”Don’t hold back on using dharma instruments. Once the fight starts, go for the kill. I have plenty of dharma instruments, as many as you want. Even if they get wasted, don’t let these bastards take even a single fragment!”
