Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 298: Chapter 244: Rank 12, Undead Evil Fire Chapter 298: Chapter 244: Rank 12, Undead Evil Fire Shining Star’s gaze shifted away from the Flame Sky Fire Control Technique in the box.

He looked up at Yang Yifeng before him.

Yang Yifeng nodded and said, “I’ll leave it to you.”

“Thank you, teacher.”

Su Yuan solemnly bowed, then focused his eyes and began to embed the Flame Sky Fire Control Technique!

Watching Su Yuan close his eyes and activate the Flame Sky Fire Control Technique, Yang Yifeng couldn’t help but recall past events, suddenly feeling a sense of relief in his heart.

“Perhaps this is how it should be.

Even Wind and Thunder are difficult to reach the Transformation Realm, let alone fire.

Without that talent, one should let go of obsessions early.

Mastering Wind and Thunder is enough to surpass most King Levels.

The outcome of the battle back then would not have been so dire…”

Yang Yifeng shook his head, dispelling these thoughts, and looked at Su Yuan again.

However, his student was not any worse than anyone else!

Originally, he had given up, thinking he would spend the last ten years of his life teaching students to find peace.

But then Dean Cai suggested there might still be a chance, and he met a student like Su Yuan…

“Perhaps, in the future, I’ll really have to rely on this kid.”

Yang Yifeng smiled, feeling a bit more hopeful.

If one can live, who wants to die?

…

Not long after, Su Yuan slowly opened his eyes, having fully understood the Flame Sky Fire Control Technique.

The Flame Sky Fire Control Technique has two stages.

The first stage is to absorb Divine Fire, and the second stage is to evolve skills.

The first stage only has the magic technique and cannot be cultivated.

Only when the second stage, the skill evolution, is completed can one begin cultivation.

Yang Yifeng said, “It seems you have mastered it.

Next is the Divine Fire and its location.”

Su Yuan’s eyes filled with strong anticipation.

“Please enlighten me, teacher.”

Yang Yifeng activated the barrier in the cultivation room and then began to speak:

“As I mentioned last time, the Divine Fire I discovered ranks among the thirty-six Divine Fires.

Now, I can tell you clearly that the Divine Fire I found is ranked twelfth, the Undead Evil Fire!”

The twelfth, Undead Evil Fire?

Su Yuan’s pupils contracted, revealing a deep surprise in his eyes!

He didn’t expect the Divine Fire his teacher mentioned to be ranked so high.

The twelfth-ranked Undead Evil Fire is among the top third of all Divine Fires.

Yang Yifeng slowly said, “The Undead Evil Fire is known as one of the most troublesome Divine Fires.

Besides its astonishing power, this fire also has the ‘undead’ nature.

Undead doesn’t mean it grants immortality to the user but that itself is indestructible.

The Undead Evil Fire is incredibly resilient and extremely difficult to extinguish.

As long as a bit remains, it can continuously absorb Heaven and Earth Star Power and reignite!”

Su Yuan nodded silently.

He had already learned some information about Divine Fire from various sources.

Considering it was the Undead Evil Fire, it was no wonder Yang Yifeng repeatedly emphasized the need for thorough preparation.

With the traits of the Undead Evil Fire, trying to subdue it would be as challenging as dealing with the top ten Divine Fires!

Facing such a Divine Fire, there was no room for back-and-forth tactics.

It must be subdued in one powerful strike.

Otherwise, if given even a moment to breathe, it could instantly regain all its strength!

However, once subdued, the benefits of such a Divine Fire would be unimaginable!

Its ability to rapidly self-recover means this Evil Fire won’t be depleted by others once used.

For instance, when dealing with the Deep Horror Sea Monster on B-3 Island earlier, Su Yuan used Hellfire to break through the monster’s water defense shield.

But the power of Hellfire was significantly consumed, although it severely injured the sea monster.

Without following up with two more Boundary Breaking Strikes, he couldn’t kill it.

With the Undead Evil Fire, the power consumed in breaking the shield would automatically replenish, without any weakening of its power.

An attack with the Undead Evil Fire hitting an enemy would require the opponent to swiftly use a large amount of Star Power to extinguish it in one go; otherwise, they would either be exhausted or burned to death!

Against a group, the Undead Evil Fire would be even more terrifying.

Any attack, if not immediately nullified by the enemy, would continuously kill everyone in its path without any reduction in power!

Su Yuan’s heart couldn’t help but burn with excitement at the thought.

“As for the location of the Undead Evil Fire…” Yang Yifeng looked at Su Yuan, “It’s in the Ancient Forbidden Zone!”

“The Ancient Forbidden Zone…” Su Yuan’s expression grew slightly solemn.

The Ancient Forbidden Zone’s overlord has an agreement with Great Flame’s upper echelons.

An imperial decree prohibits Star Beasts above Shining Star Level from leaving the Ancient Forbidden Zone and entering the human realm.

However, humans entering the Ancient Forbidden Zone on their own are not covered by this agreement.

“No wonder, teacher, you originally wanted me to reach Shining Star before seeking the Divine Fire.

It’s not just about successfully subjugating it.

The Ancient Forbidden Zone is full of dangers, making it really difficult for a Gold Level to venture there,” Su Yuan pondered.

Yang Yifeng smiled, “Divine Fire, such a heavenly treasure, is not easy to obtain.

Given your cultivation speed, entering Shining Star in one to two years is entirely possible.

By then, the risk of entering would be much lower.”

Su Yuan pondered briefly, then shook his head.

“I appreciate your concern, but I still decide to go as soon as possible.”

On the path of cultivation, those who take the lead stay ahead.

Gaining the Divine Fire would significantly boost his strength, allowing him to participate in more endeavors and secure more resources.

Whether earning Star Dust, searching for Heaven and Earth Treasures to enhance his realm, or seeking Gold Level’s epic Star Cards, all of these require strong power!

His current strength was at a turning point.

Below Shining Star, Su Yuan was confident in handling most situations.

But facing Shining Star Level, even an ordinary Shining Star, he wasn’t too sure.

The gap between Shining Star and Gold was enormous!

Not to mention the power of the Soul Card, even the difference in attributes was like night and day.

When others activated their defense skills, under pure Star Power suppression, he might not even break their defense.

How could he win?

But the Divine Fire presented an opportunity!

The overwhelmingly powerful Fire Element, along with the potential realm enhancement, would greatly boost his strength.

Then, with the Divine Fire, he would have the chance to slay a Shining Star.

Besides, time brings changes.

An unclaimed Divine Fire, even if it remains now, might not still be there in one to two years.

It was safer to secure it as soon as possible.

Seeing Su Yuan had his plan, Yang Yifeng nodded, “Alright, since you’ve decided to go, just be careful.”

Su Yuan asked, “Teacher, do you know the exact location of the Divine Fire?…”

Yang Yifeng gestured toward the wooden box in Su Yuan’s hand.

Su Yuan’s heart moved, and he immediately brought the box closer, discovering a hidden compartment at the bottom.

Opening the compartment, he found a silk as thin as a cicada’s wing, which, when opened, revealed a map with a marked location.

“This map is a little…

abstract…”

Su Yuan examined the highly abstract map, which was more a drawing than a cartographic representation, and at an elementary school level at that…

Yang Yifeng’s old face blushed slightly as he awkwardly scratched his nose.

“Back when I found the trace of the Divine Fire, I tracked down the evolving Undead Divine Fire.

But that was many years ago, and the Divine Fire hadn’t fully evolved then.

So I drew this map, keeping it with the Flame Sky Fire Control Technique, planning to subdue it when the time was right.

For various reasons, although the Undead Divine Fire has fully formed now, I haven’t retrieved it.”

Su Yuan’s eyes reflected deep thought.

What his teacher previously mentioned might be related to the “private reasons” he had hinted at.

Yang Yifeng said, “I explored the Ancient Forbidden Zone five years ago, and the Undead Divine Fire was still there then.

What it’s like now, you’ll have to find out yourself.”

“I understand.” Su Yuan nodded, memorizing the map, and carefully put it away.

“Oh, right,” Yang Yifeng suddenly remembered something and took out a white talisman, “this talisman contains the power of one of my attacks.

If you encounter danger during this journey, activate this talisman and target your enemy.

Yang Yifeng handed the talisman to Su Yuan, urging, “Remember, after using it, no matter if your enemy is dead or not, run with all your might to ensure your survival.

Understand?”

Su Yuan looked at the small talisman in his teacher’s hand, feeling a touch of care.

The path of talisman-making is incredibly complex.

Creating a talisman that can seal a Burning Sun Level attack is challenging, requiring the expertise of a specialized Talisman Maker, as Yang Yifeng couldn’t do it himself.

Although Yang Yifeng didn’t explicitly say, it was clear that this talisman was specially prepared for Su Yuan’s journey.

“Thank you, teacher.”

Su Yuan accepted the talisman and expressed his gratitude sincerely.

The power of a Burning Sun Level attack could be life-saving in a critical moment!

Yang Yifeng waved his hand, “A reminder, this item can only be used on Hailan Star.

It won’t work in the secret realm.

Otherwise, its Energy Level would exceed the secret realm’s limit.

You’d face the realm’s rejection and backlash before it could take effect.”

Su Yuan smiled, “Don’t worry, teacher.

I understand.”

“Alright, since that’s settled, go prepare.

Let me know when you’re leaving.”

“Yes!”

Su Yuan responded, then followed Yang Yifeng downstairs and left alone…
