Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 260: Chapter 212 Sea Beast Chapter 260: Chapter 212 Sea Beast Su Yuan went to the Book Tower, received the Snow God Lotus Heart Pill from Yang Yifeng, and was informed that the mission with the senior students was happening in a few days.

Thinking about the mission, Su Yuan couldn’t help but ponder.

Blue Sea Star, with the word “sea” in its name, showed that the ocean occupied a significant part of this world.

And Great Flame Country was in the southernmost part of the East Continent, adjacent to the sea in the south, with the Southern Islands belonging to Great Flame.

Red Sand Flame Island, which Su Yuan had visited, was among them.

The Southern Islands could expand the archipelago topography for Great Flame and provide special products, also serving as a gateway to the southwest.

This mission was related to the South Sea.

According to Yang Yifeng, for some unknown reason, many sea beasts had recently appeared in the South Sea and were attacking coastal cities.

The South Sea Islands had already fallen, occupied by numerous Star Beasts.

These sea beasts, although not very strong, were mostly at the Lower Three Levels, with rare occurrences of Shining Star Level ones.

The problem was their sheer numbers, practically endless…

Including South Pole City, the southern cities were having significant issues, even the Southern Military District had dispatched elite troops to resist.

As of now, the sea beasts had been driven away from most coastal cities, and the powerful sea beasts on the Southern Islands were subdued by the military elites.

The situation was largely under control, but some tasks remained.

The military planned to establish barriers and Star Power cannons on and around the islands.

This required a large workforce, and the dispatched troops were insufficient, so they requested academy students to assist.

This could also serve as a graduation assessment project for some senior students.

Speaking of risks…

There were undoubtedly risks!

Besides a few Water Element and Ice Element Star Card Masters, very few Lower Three Levels Star Card Masters excelled in island and water combat.

Without flying capabilities, once regular Star Card Masters fell into the water, their combat power might not even reach half its potential!

But as senior academy students, they had long learned to weigh risks and rewards.

Unless it was a certain death scenario, everything was negotiable.

Like this time, assisting the southern cities and the Southern Military District would surely bring substantial rewards.

Besides the academic points from the academy, the southern cities and military district would also offer additional rewards for accumulated military achievements.

The military district’s inventory would be accessible to all.

That was why Yang Yifeng mentioned this mission would have Space Star Cards!

Generally, the four major military districts under the Military Supervision Department served as reserve forces, only mobilized during warfare.

For thousands of years, despite numerous power shifts in the East Continent, Great Flame stood tall.

The various treasures accumulated in the military district’s warehouses were countless!

“Oceans, endless sea beasts…”

Su Yuan had planned to earn Star Dust after reaching Gold Level, but this now seemed like a very good opportunity.

The star beasts in the Transversal Mountain Range were densely populated but still limited, restricting Su Yuan’s star dust collection speed.

Now, it sounded like the star beasts on the Southern Islands were endless, far surpassing the Transversal Mountain Range.

Paired with his newly acquired high-output Ice Element summoning, the Frost Giant Dragon…

“It seems there will be quite a harvest this time.”

Su Yuan thought briefly and began preparing…

A few days later, on the academy’s playground.

Dozens of teachers stood on the platform, while below, more than 800 students stood.

Among these students, there were many with impressive auras.

Just over forty were at the Gold Level.

The rest were mostly Silver High Stage, with a few Silver Middle Stage, and no Silver Early Stage.

One could say that most of the elite students from the Demon Capital Academy were on this playground.

At that moment, among the many teachers on the platform, a middle-aged male teacher with a square face and slightly dark skin was talking about the mission.

This man was Zheng Chusheng, one of the two Burning Sun teachers leading this mission.

“This mission may be somewhat lengthy, and if successful, it could take one or two months.

Seniors, your performance in this mission will be included in your graduation assessment.

For students of other years, if your performance is outstanding, extra points will be added to your future graduation assessments.

As for other rewards, I won’t say much for now.

They will follow the military’s reward system.”

At Demon Capital Academy, graduation was conditional.

If standards were not met by the end of senior year, graduation would be delayed.

And delayed graduation meant losing most of the academy’s benefits.

“We have divided everyone into teams based on their strength.

The numbers on the ground indicate your team.

Four people are in each small team, and sixteen people are in a large team.

The team leaders are Gold Level.

You can get to know your teammates now; departure is imminent.”

Su Yuan’s number was 11-4-4, indicating the fourth member of the fourth small team in the eleventh large team.

Standing under the 11-4 number, the three people beside him were his teammates.

While Zheng Chusheng was speaking, they had already been observing each other.

No need for further looks, it was time for introductions.

One composed short-haired youth spoke first: “Hello, everyone.

I am Gong Zhouheng, number 11-4-1, senior, Silver Extreme.”

“Hey, a top 100 in the year’s trial ranking!” a chubby guy among them chuckled.

Gong Zhouheng waved his hand: “Just lucky, 97th place, barely made it to the top 100.”

Top 100 was a threshold; making it into the top 100 meant being a formidable figure in the grade, often recognizable among peers.

Beyond the two or three hundred rank, unless they were competitors of similar strength, they generally didn’t attract much attention.

The chubby guy said: “Still impressive, though trial rankings don’t fully represent strength, way better than my over-500 rank!

By the way, I am Pei Pengfei, number 11-4-2, senior, Silver High Stage.”

Another bespectacled youth then said: “Seems like both of you are seniors.

I am Cheng Mu, number 11-4-3, junior, Silver Middle Stage.”

Gong Zhouheng and Pei Pengfei nodded.

Among 800 students, about a quarter were juniors, so having one or two in a team was normal.

After Cheng Mu’s introduction, the three of them looked at the last unassuming youth.

“Hello, everyone.

I am Su Yuan, number 11-4-4, sophomore, Silver High Stage.”

The three were stunned.

“A sophomore?!” Pei Pengfei exclaimed, drawing attention from nearby teams with his loud voice.

Pei Pengfei didn’t care and stared at Su Yuan, asking: “Didn’t the semester just start?

Are you sure you’re not a junior?”

Su Yuan smiled: “I enrolled last year, now a sophomore, no mistake.”

Hearing this, they realized Su Yuan was indeed a newly promoted sophomore, not forgetting his year.

Gong Zhouheng puzzled: “Strange, I thought this mission wasn’t open to sophomores.”

Pei Pengfei, however, suspected if there was a mistake in his cultivation realm.

“That realm of yours…”

Before Pei Pengfei could finish, he felt intense star power emanating from the seemingly ordinary youth.

Su Yuan anticipated their doubts, so he displayed his realm.

Forming a team required some understanding of each other’s strength for better arrangement and decision-making.

This was a basic principle of team combat.

So, although aware of his astonishing realm, Su Yuan truthfully exhibited it.

“Indeed, Silver High Stage!” Gong Zhouheng and the others took a deep breath.

In a year, reaching Silver High Stage!

When did the academy have such a figure?

Senior students had enough to handle, even if they noticed juniors, they wouldn’t cross two grades unless it was someone like Xia Xuan, who won the national championship!

“Su Yuan?” Gong Zhouheng didn’t know, but Cheng Mu suddenly remembered, “Are you the one who led the team to first place at the Three Cities Elite Exchange Conference?”

“Yes, that’s me.”

Pei Pengfei surprised: “Got first place this year?”

Though it had been a while, Gong Zhouheng and Pei Pengfei recalled the Demon City Holy Spring event.

Defeating Capitol City and Demon City’s geniuses to clinch first place, the difficulty was evident, eliminating any underestimation of Su Yuan.

At this time, the commander of the 11th large team approached.

A young man in a white shirt, looking capable, with Gold Middle Stage aura!

Su Yuan found him familiar, remembering he was the student at the entrance receiving new students, shouting things like “Parents are prohibited from entering…”

The young man in the white shirt said: “Hello, everyone.

I am Liu Congyun, commander of the 11th large team.

For the upcoming mission, let’s support each other and work together.”

“Definitely, Vice Chairman Liu, we’re assured with you leading!”

“Yeah, Vice Chairman Liu, you were a strong player in the national competition; we witnessed your strength!”

The 11th large team members were familiar with Liu Congyun, all responding enthusiastically.

Gong Zhouheng, representing the 11-4 small team, said: “Rest assured, Vice Chairman Liu, we will follow orders.”

Hearing this, Su Yuan realized that former president Qi Tian had graduated.

Meeting for the first time, Qi Tian took him to the entrance exam.

The second meeting was at the challenge, allowing him to borrow the field for public challenges against Xiang Dingqian.

The third meeting was at the South Pole Academy trip in the Star Mist Hall.

Su Yuan had a positive impression of this president.

In fact, half a year ago, Qi Tian had graduated after reaching Shining Star Level.

The current president, Su Yuan knew, was Qin Jia, having just started senior year.

Qin Jia was also in the team, commander of the 1st large team, and was at the Gold High Stage!

As for the national competition…

The national competition was in June, not long ago, with Qin Jia and Liu Congyun participating.

Unsurprisingly, Demon Capital Academy remained third.

Last June, Timing was on their side; Qi Tian’s prowess could rival Capitol City’s Jidu.

Demon Academy, although strong overall, lacked prominent junior representatives.

With such a scenario, Demon Capital Academy could at least secure second.

Unexpectedly, Demon City had an emergent sophomore Xia Xuan, narrowly defeating Qi Tian and Jidu to lead Demon Academy to victory!

Back to the subject.

Liu Congyun nodded: “This mission on the island chain carries risks; I will ensure thorough consideration during the action.

Let’s hope none of us will be missing upon return.”

“Good!”

After a while, Zheng Chusheng on the platform said: “Alright, if we’re ready, then let’s depart!”

Su Yuan and the more than 800 teachers and students boarded the dozens of buses parked by the playground, heading towards the Demon Capital Airport…
