After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2022: Chapter 528: Brazil’s Emperor Falcao

After dinner, seeing off his teammates, it was just past ten in the evening.

Lily and the young lady were already asleep.

Huang Kaiwen poured himself a glass of warm water and watched the late-night football program.

Italian football programs, sometimes they just have female hosts to attract viewers, lacking professionalism.

That’s why Italy always has various icons, and Wanda can have her own show too.

Most people still like this type.

Huang Kaiwen saw the British TV station, just in time to catch Match of the Day 2.

Broadcast on Saturday is called Match of the Day.

Today is Sunday, so it’s Match of the Day 2.

In the 90s when Serie A was at its peak, they even had a dedicated Serie A program ”Gazzetta Football Italia”.

Lineker holding a cup of coffee, Ian Wright with a hamburger in hand.

They were discussing Sunday’s matches.

The BIG4 team, three teams played on Saturday; Liverpool won 2-0 against Everton.

This weekend, Chelsea’s match attracted more attention as they beat Bolton 6-0, Huntelaar had a remarkable performance with 3 goals and 2 assists.

Fulham also won 6-0 against Queens Park Rangers.

Swansea won 2-0 against Stoke City.

”Tottenham’s victory this time is tactical, Wenger’s substitutions were somewhat problematic.”

Lineker said.

In the North London Derby, Tottenham defeated Arsenal 2-1.

Ian Wright said: ”Mainly there’s no one left to substitute, Higuain was effectively shut down by Ledley King, greatly affecting the front line, we can’t really have Park go up there and play, can we.”

He referred to PARK as Park Chu-young.

”Indeed, but speaking of tactics, we can’t overlook one of the earlier matches.”

Lineker said.

”Oh, which one?”

Ian Wright asked curiously.

”It’s the Italian National Derby that just passed, Juventus versus AC Milan at home.”

Lineker exaggeratedly said: ”Kaiwen was injured, this is Juventus’s best chance.”

”Really, I didn’t watch that match while preparing for tonight’s show.”

Wright cooperatively said.

The large screen behind Lineker started playing the match highlights.

Originally, Milan was pressing against Juventus, edited highlights made it more evident, Juventus had few attacking opportunities.

After a few minutes of highlights, Ian Wright exaggeratedly said: ”Isn’t this like AC Milan playing against a lower league team in the cup?”

”This is indeed Juventus, with Pirlo sitting on the bench.”

Lineker pointed at the large screen with a stick:”I have studied several times to realize how impressive AC Milan’s tactics are.”

While he was talking, the camera showed Ramos.

”When they needed to attack, Ramos would respond to van Persie, after van Persie’s cut in, Ramos immediately turned to the flank. AC Milan shifted to defense in the second half, Ramos returned to the full-back position to guard, he ran thirteen thousand meters in this match.”

Lineker continued: ”The key was his six crosses, seventy-seven passes, with seventy-two reaching their target, and three key passes, his defensive statistics were equally outstanding, I felt like watching a flank version of Gerrard.”

”Indeed, very impressive.”

Wright nodded and said: ”Watching this match, it felt like AC Milan had an extra player.”

”Yes, because Kroos was always running, Kaka was running, Ibrahimovic was running, everyone was running.”

The screen presented data.

AC Milan’s average running distance is 11,200 meters, including the goalkeeper’s data because Buffon in this match ran more than twice as much as Courtois!

On Juventus’s side, the average was 8,794 meters, even without Courtois, their average run was only 10,000 meters.

Saying AC Milan had an extra man, is not exaggerated at all.

”Conte’s defensive arrangement in this match was outstanding.”

The screen showed Juventus’s penalty area, Lineker pointed to it and said: ”In defense, their midfield would join in, rarely facing one-on-one situations. But AC Milan’s attacking players were too many, Ramos went up, Van Bommel occasionally joined in, their constant passing left Juventus chasing the ball, Kaka could break through, Hazard and van Persie cut in, Kroos, Ramos, and Van Bommel all had long passes, and almost every attacking player could pass straight, such a multidimensional offense was impossible for Juventus to defend against.”

”It was really like that.”

Ian Wright nodded in agreement: ”Just hearing it sounded terrifying, so many great stars in the front continually passing and running, the defending players faced a great deal of pressure.”

”Exactly!!!”

Lineker nodded vigorously and said: ”I can see the future from this set of tactics, AC Milan still isn’t proficient, once they are, other teams won’t stand a chance against AC Milan, with quick pressuring during defense, allowing teammates time to recover defense, Juventus could only send long balls to the front, but this creates not much threat.”

”So this set of tactics was thought up by Cesare Maldini?”

Ian Wright asked.

”No, I think it’s Kaiwen!”

Lineker said: ”For one, these tactics differ significantly from those during Cesare’s coaching era, another reason is he has been away from the football world for so long, it’s hard to come up with such tactics. Plus, these tactics are very similar to previous AC Milan tactics, taking Guardiola’s tactics further, considering all this I believe it’s Kaiwen’s tactical arrangement.”

”Wow, that’s quite something!”

Wright exclaimed in surprise.

Huang Kaiwen took a sip of water.
