After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2021: Chapter 527: Van Bommel Is Not a Bad Guy

A group of Juventus players who have played for 70 minutes, facing Torres who hasn’t played a single minute and is eager to prove himself.

Just the thought of it seems cruel.

As soon as there was a dead ball, Torres almost rushed onto the field before Kaka even got off.

After Kaka stepped off, he took a towel and water bottle from Huang Kaiwen and asked, ”What’s going on with Fernando?”

”He saw Ibrahimovic and Robin both score, so he couldn’t sit still.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Despite how authoritative His Majesty the Emperor seems, he doesn’t actually care much about whether he plays or not.

But these forwards under 30 don’t have such a good mindset.

Each of them is competing fiercely.

Kaka shook his head and sat back on the bench.

His thoughts are all on Huang Kaiwen’s child now.

He has no ambition left for the game.

If Huang Kaiwen weren’t still playing, he’d probably retire right away.

At that time, going out every day with the kid, isn’t that more fun than playing football?

”Sergio, drop back to play fullback, let Ivan pair with Mark as holding midfielders, and Robin return to the right flank.”

Huang Kaiwen shouted on the field.

Van Persie and Torres both prefer the left side, although they can also play on the right.

But at this moment, Torres is full of energy, so of course, he should be placed in his preferred position.

”AC Milan is switching to a 4-2-3-1 formation, AC Milan has had a lot of formation changes today.”

”Yes, it’s unexpected that AC Milan’s three world-class forwards can all play together, Torres has got the ball, Torres, that shot was a bit rushed.”

”It’s understandable, after all, all the goals today were scored by forwards. Torres has been watching for so long from the bench. He surely wants to score quickly.”

”Another counterattack by AC Milan, but this time the Juventus defense is all there... Torres, Torres charging in from the left side, Lixishtena didn’t make a tackle, the shot!!! It’s a goal, Torres’ long shot at the far post was beautiful!!!”

”Fernando Torres, only 4 minutes after coming on, he broke through Juventus’ defense. This substitution is really effective.”

”Huang Kaiwen is shouting from the sidelines again, he should be reminding AC Milan’s players to focus on defense. With about 15 minutes including stoppage time, Juventus could still equalize.”

”Yes, I see many fans complaining about how dull matches between strong teams are. Actually, the stronger the teams, the more cautious they are. Everyone’s abilities are similar, and if the opponent scores, it’s really hard to find an opportunity to equalize. So there’s more tactical confrontation between strong teams, making the matches seem more boring.”

”That’s right, because big matches are about trophies, and no one can afford to lose.”

After this goal.

Milan players began to play conservatively, except for Torres and those who were subbed in.

Next up is National Team match day, and then they’ll have the UEFA Champions League.

Whenever Torres got the ball, he would sprint forward.

In the last moments of the match, he really did score another goal.

Kroos picked up the ball in the front and sent a through pass, Torres bravely faced the outstanding Barzagli, Barzagli couldn’t hold Torres back even with his hands, Torres struck a curving shot from near the penalty area corner, sealing the score at 4:1!

Beep,

Beep,

Beeeeeep—

Rizzoli finally blew the whistle to end the match.

Old Maldini and Domenec Torrent rushed onto the field simultaneously.

Huang Kaiwen walked towards the field clapping his hands, high-fiving every player.

Then, he led the whole team to the section below the away fans’ stands.

AC Milan lined up, over forty strong in one horizontal line.

At the count of three-two-one, they all slid to their knees below the stands with passion.

The marks on the ground were more than what 80 legs should leave.

”Come on, you can’t dodge this now!”

Old Maldini joked, ”The reporters must have a ton to ask you.”

”Let them ask.”

Huang Kaiwen shrugged.”

The plan was to publicly show a clear stance by bringing in Old Maldini.

Similar to Sir Ferguson’s role as assistant coach.

Mr. Huang is too young, surely there are people who aren’t confident, hence hiring Cesare Maldini.

Moreover, Guardiola might come back anytime. If he were an interim coach, some fans might wish for Guardiola to step down, which Huang Kaiwen doesn’t want to happen.

The two finally walked into the tunnel.

Antonio Conte suddenly popped out, staring at Huang Kaiwen and said, ”You were the one directing today, weren’t you?”

Huang Kaiwen looked at Old Maldini.

Old Maldini simply acted as if he hadn’t seen anything.

Huang Kaiwen had no choice but to nod with a brave face.

”Next time I won’t lose to you.”

Conte said, ”Also, tell your players to restrain themselves.”

”Restrict what?”

Huang Kaiwen asked confused.

”Before you came in, Vidal and Kroos had a squabble, Van Bommel knocked Vidal down.” Conte said and walked away directly.

Huang Kaiwen:...

Damn, there’s an extra red card after the match ended.

If it weren’t for Conte tattling, he really wouldn’t have known.

At the Alpi Stadium press conference room.

When Huang Kaiwen and Cesare Maldini entered, the place stirred.

As soon as they sat on the stage, the reporters eagerly started questioning.

”Kevin, why were you in the technical area today?”

”Cesare, have you been sidelined by Kevin?”

”Who was behind the tactical details of Milan today, did you tactically restrain Juventus?”

”Torres came on and scored two goals in the final stages, was it a mistake to have him as a substitute?”

”Van Bommel got a red card after the match, will there be any disciplinary actions from the team?”

”...”

Huang Kaiwen smiled and pulled the microphone closer, saying directly, ”If it wasn’t me in the technical area, did you want an 80-year-old man standing there, isn’t that a bit cruel?”

”79!”

Cesare Maldini chimed in.

”Alright, 79.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Old Maldini continued, ”The relationship between Kevin and I is better than you think. If he weren’t unwilling, I’d rather make him my son and have Paul leave, so there’s no such thing as sidelining. Kevin has discussed many things with me, he’s the most courteous young man I’ve met.”

”What about tactical details?”

A reporter pressed further.

”The tactical details are the work of the entire coaching staff, including Mr. Guardiola.” Huang Kaiwen said.

”Talk about Torres!”

Old Maldini started to say: ”Fernando, that kid’s speed is phenomenal, but who comes as a substitute is a tactical need, not even about form. All our forwards were in good form during training, but we studied Antonio Conte’s tactics and felt it was better for him to be a substitute.”

”Will Van Bommel’s red card after the match affect your upcoming match preparation?”

A reporter asked.

Huang Kaiwen quickly grabbed the microphone and said, ”Mark is a very important member of the team, his absence certainly has an impact, but we have more players, the coach will get someone else to fill the void. As for that red card, I didn’t see it, but I know one thing, Mark van Bommel is not a bad person...”
