Chapter 1531: Chapter 1530: The Four Elders of the Martial Arbiters

Heavenly Realm Martial Artists’ resting place!

It must be no ordinary place.

Lin Dong continued to inquire, ”What exactly is that place?”

Cao Yuan replied, ”It is a tower with six floors. I’ve challenged and passed two of those floors, thus completing the test.”

”To become the head of the six managers, one needs to pass four levels of the test. To become the second manager, three levels must be passed. As for us, the other four managers, passing just one level suffices!”

Hearing this, Lin Dong asked with curiosity, ”And what if someone passes all of them?”

”I’m not sure about that, but it seems that ever since the passing of that Heavenly Realm Martial Artist among the Martial Arbiters, no one has been able to pass the sixth level.”

”Not even a Ninth Level Grandmaster could pass it,” Cao Yuan shared everything he knew with Lin Dong.

Lin Dong nodded, not asking any further.

Soon, the car arrived at the headquarters of the Martial Arbitration Union.

It was a magnificent, ancient palace surrounded by several-meter-high red walls, covering a not insignificant area.

At the door, there were martial artists guarding every five steps.

Moreover, their strength was not weak; even the team leaders were Sect Masters.

Seeing the two people getting out of the car, the guards stopped them.

”Who goes there?”

Cao Yuan directly took out a badge!

It was the ’Managerial Badge’ of the Martial Arbitration Alliance.

Seeing this, the group hastily bowed and said loudly, ”We have seen the manager.”

Since Cao Yuan had recently obtained the manager position and had been recuperating at home, he rarely visited the headquarters of the Arbiters.

Therefore, it was no surprise that these people did not recognize him.

But they did recognize the Managerial Badge.

To see the badge was as good as seeing the person; at the moment, all of them bowed in greeting.

Cao Yuan waved his hand and subsequently led Lin Dong into the headquarters of the Arbiters.

In no time, he took Lin Dong to the Six-Elders Hall at the headquarters.

The headquarters of the Martial Arbiters has always followed one principle, that six managers oversee everything.

These six managers are also known as the Six Elders of Martial Arbiters.

When Lin Dong followed Cao Yuan into the Six-Elders Hall, he also met the other four elders.

These four people all looked to be over the age of sixty, among them, the Xingyi Fist Grandmaster, ’Elder Dong’, whom Lin Dong had previously seen at The Imperial Mountain.

Previously, he was the sixth-ranked among the Six Elders but due to the deaths of Old Wu and Old Gong, he had been promoted from sixth to fourth!

At this moment, he was sitting in the fourth seat among the six, and upon seeing Lin Dong arrive, he greeted him with a smile and a clasped fist:

”Master Lin, we meet again. Do you still remember me?”

Lin Dong also responded with a smile and a clasped fist, ”Elder Dong, since parting from The Imperial Mountain, I trust you’ve been well.”

Elder Dong Laughingly Said, ”I remember, back then Master Lin’s strength was merely at the early stage of an Earth Realm Martial Artist, yet in such a short amount of time. Master Lin’s ability to slaughter powerful experts like the Master of Black Sorcerer Palace and the host of Hall of Dark King truly leaves me trailing in your dust.”

Lin Dong responded modestly, ”Elder Dong, you flatter me.”

At the moment, he looked towards the other three sitting in their seats.

And just in time, Cao Yuan introduced them to Lin Dong.

”Dragon Lord, the elderly man sitting in the third chair is one of the Six Elders of the Martial Arbitration Union, Tongbei Fist Grandmaster Elder Qi!”

This Elder Qi had white hair at his temples but a youthful appearance, a towering figure, and a transcendent aura.

His eyes sparkled with vitality, and he emitted an extremely fierce Qi.

Lin Dong judged this man to be at the strength of a Stage Five Grandmaster.

Lin Dong clasped his hands toward him and Laughingly Said, ”This youth has seen Elder Qi!”

Elder Qi quickly returned the gesture, ”Master Lin, you are stronger than I, it should be me seeing you.”

Speaking, he stood up and performed a major salute from the Martial Arts World to Lin Dong.

This is the rule of the Martial Arts World!

Respect is not determined by age but by strength.

If your strength is great, no matter how young you are, you will still receive respect from others.

Lin Dong felt somewhat uncomfortable.

He was a youth in his early twenties, receiving a salute from a man well into his sixties.

Yet, he could not refuse, for doing so would break the rules of the Martial Arts World, and others would think he was being disrespectful.

After introducing Elder Qi, Cao Yuan pointed towards an old man sitting in the second round chair.

This elder also had an extraordinary spirit and his strength was even greater than Elder Qi’s just now.

He was a Sixth Stage Grandmaster Earth Realm martial artist!

”This is Chopping Palm Grandmaster, Elder Yang!”

Elder Yang also gave Lin Dong a salute of the Martial Arts World and laughingly said, ”Master Lin, I have long admired your reputation.”

Lin Dong smiled and nodded to him.

Last of all was the elder sitting in the first round chair.

The strength of this elder was actually that of an Eighth Level Grandmaster, the same as Lin Dong.

”Young Friend Lin, although it’s our first meeting, I have long felt a spiritual connection with you,” the Tai Chi Grandmaster Elder Chen said warmly to Lin Dong.

Lin Dong hurriedly responded, ”Good to meet you, Elder Chen.”

He was now even more puzzled, wondering what exactly they wanted from him.

Before Lin Dong could speak, it seemed as if Tai Chi Grandmaster Elder Chen knew what was on Lin Dong’s mind.

He laughingly said, ”Young Friend Lin, are you curious about the purpose of our invitation?”

Lin Dong nodded, ”Elder Chen, it isn’t about Elder Wu and Old Gong’s matter, is it?”

He was kind of nervous; if it really came to a fight, his opponents would be four Earth Realm martial artists, one of whom was an Eighth Level Grandmaster.

Even for Lin Dong, that would be somewhat troublesome. Moreover, he didn’t want to completely make enemies with the Martial Arbitration Alliance.

Hearing Lin Dong’s words, Elder Chen laughingly said, ”Young Friend Lin is overthinking it. Elder Wu and Old Gong’s match was a normal life-and-death challenge. If they lost, they can only blame their own lack of skills.”

”There’s nothing more to say about that.”

”We invited Young Friend Lin today because of another matter.”

”Oh? What is this other matter then? Please be clear, Elder Chen,” Lin Dong asked curiously.

Elder Chen didn’t keep him in suspense any longer but spoke directly, ”Today, we have invited Young Friend Lin to ask if you would join our Martial Arbitration Alliance!”

Wow!

Hearing this, Lin Dong was taken aback.

”Young Friend Lin, our six managers still have one position open. If Young Friend Lin is willing to join our Martial Arbitration Alliance, then that position is yours,” Elder Chen continued.

”Cough cough...” Lin Dong coughed dryly and asked, ”Elder Chen, is there any manager as young as I am? Would that not be against the rules?”

Elder Chen laughed outright, ”Young Friend Lin need not worry, in our Martial Arbitration Alliance, strength is always respected.”

”Who would object to Young Friend Lin’s strength? If they knew you joined our Martial Arbitration Alliance, I believe all the members would be too delighted.”

Lin Dong was considering.

Then Elder Chen spoke again, ”As long as Young Friend Lin joins our Martial Arbitration Alliance, during your upcoming challenge with King Kunlun, our Arbitration Alliance will also provide a modicum of support.”

”And, in the unlikely event that Young Friend Lin is killed by King Kunlun, our Martial Arbitration Alliance will thereafter protect your friends and family, ensuring they are not slain by your enemies...”

Hearing this, Lin Dong was moved.

This Elder Chen knew well how to grasp a person’s psyche.

Knowing what the other party was thinking and what they needed.

”Very well! Elder Chen, I accept.”

In the end, Lin Dong agreed to join the Martial Arbitration Alliance.
