Chapter 1525: Chapter 1524: I Let the Lin Family Invest in You Guys

Qiao Xue realized she had misspoken and quickly looked towards her younger sister, Qiao Bing.

She prayed in her heart that her sister wouldn’t misunderstand.

Fortunately, Qiao Bing’s expression remained unchanged as she didn’t say anything. Instead, she took her hand and sat down at the table in the courtyard, saying,

”Let’s wait here for Lin Dong to finish cooking. His cooking skills are really good.”

Qiao Xue nodded, ”Yes, I’ve also tasted his cooking before, and it’s indeed pretty good.”

When Lin Dong was previously in Jianghai, he had cooked during his visits to the Qiao Family home. Qiao Xue had indeed sampled Lin Dong’s cooking.

Though it couldn’t compare to those professional five-star chefs, it was already quite impressive, especially better than what she or even her mother could manage.

It wasn’t long before Lin Dong had prepared three dishes and a soup, and brought them to the table.

His cooking speed was very fast. The three dishes and soup took less than half an hour.

After serving the dishes, Lin Dong said, ”The food is ready. Enjoy your meal.”

”Aren’t you eating?” Qiao Xue asked.

Lin Dong shook his head; he had eaten a lot at the Cao family’s home just now and was full.

He sat beside the table, accompanying them.

As the two women were eating, Qiao Xue cleared her throat and said, ”Lin Dong, actually, I came to see you because there’s something specific.”

Lin Dong knew it.

This woman definitely wouldn’t visit without a reason!

She couldn’t possibly be here just for a social call.

Lin Dong, smiling, asked, ”What is it?”

Qiao Xue put down her dishes and began to talk about the serious matter.

”It’s about the ’Longevity Meds’ project you mentioned yesterday. You made my sister fully in charge of it, right? But just her alone handling it is not enough.”

”Lin Dong, although you have great influence and many connections in the Medical Field, developing something like ’Longevity Meds’ requires more than just that.”

”What you are lacking most is money! Only with a substantial amount of funds can you register a proper company!”

”You need money to buy equipment, hire a team, build the lab, etc.”

”Basically, you need a huge amount of money for every step. And since the thing you’re developing is Longevity Medicine, the funds required are astronomical.”

”Do you know how much money those big overseas medical companies invest in developing a new drug? That’s hundreds of millions of US dollars, even several billion... and those new drugs are nothing compared to what you’re trying to develop.”

”My initial estimate is that you’ll need to prepare at least ten billion in initial funds for the development of your Longevity Medicine.”

”And then probably several billion or even trillions more later on.”

”With all this money, how could you possibly afford it?”

After listening to her lengthy explanation, Lin Dong coldly asked, ”So? What does this have to do with you?”

”Of course, it has a lot to do with me,” Qiao Xue took a sip of soup, caught her breath, and continued,

”Lin Dong, I can get the Lin family from the Capital City, backing me, to invest in you!”

”The Lin Family from the Capital City is a massive entity. For them to invest several billion or even trillions is nothing.”

”And with me, I can definitely persuade Tian Ce to agree. You don’t have to worry about that aspect.”

”The only issue is the division of shares. We need to negotiate slowly! However, I can promise you that at least it will be a six to four split, with us contributing the funds and taking sixty percent, while you provide technology and Medical Connections and take forty percent. This is fair.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong finally understood Qiao Xue’s intention.

Was she here to invest?

In the ’Longevity Meds’ project he proposed.

And she intended to bring the Lin family into it.

Hearing this, Lin Dong couldn’t listen any further.

Not to mention that he himself was wealthy, even if he wasn’t, Lin Dong would never accept an investment from the Lin Family. He was irreconcilable with the Lin Family, how could he cooperate with them?

Moreover, Qiao Xue’s idea was amusing, proposing a sixty-forty split in their favor. If that were the case, whose company would it be after that? It would fully belong to them!

As long as Lin Dong wasn’t foolish, he clearly wouldn’t agree.

”So, Lin Dong, this is a win for you. We’re putting in several billion or even trillions of money, while you mainly contribute the technology, ideas, and your Medical Connections, and you would get forty percent of the shares!”

”This is a huge pie in our commercial circle,” Qiao Xue said animatedly.

Using the rules of their commercial circle to measure this matter.

After hearing this, Lin Dong simply laughed.

”Qiao Xue, if you came to me for this, then I have to disappoint you.”

”I won’t agree!”

”I have enough money. Thank you for your concern.”

Whoosh!

Upon hearing this, Qiao Xue’s complexion also completely changed, and somewhat incomprehensively she said, ”No, Lin Dong, why wouldn’t you agree? Such a good deal, I can’t understand why you would refuse it?”

Lin Dong, exasperated, rolled his eyes.

”Qiao Xue, should I rather ask why should I agree? Why should I let you invest and take away sixty percent of our shares? To exchange company leadership for your investment money? What makes you think I would agree to something like this?”

Qiao Xue quickly said, ”Lin Dong, it’s not just a bit of investment, it’s several billion, even a trillion.”

”Heh, Qiao Xue, maybe you think a few billion or a trillion is a lot. But to me, it’s nothing much. And the company we are planning to register is far from small. The funds we need to put in are amounts you can’t even imagine,” Lin Dong replied.

Hearing this, Qiao Xue somewhat unraveled and couldn’t help but say, ”Lin Dong, you really talk big. An investment worth several billion or even a trillion, and you turn it down.”

”Okay, okay, I want to see what company you can register. How much money you can pull together for your investment!”

After saying this, she stood up angrily, no longer wanting to eat the dinner that was served.

Seeing this, Qiao Bing said, ”Sister, what are you doing? Just because the business deal didn’t work out, are you not going to eat your dinner?”

Qiao Xue responded, ”I’m already full from the irritation your boyfriend caused; how can I eat any more rice?”

”I was genuinely trying to help, yet I’m treated like I’m talking nonsense. Alright then, since it’s like this, I’ll just see Lin Dong how you’ll pull in the investments with your shares.”

After saying that, she grabbed her bag and left.

Seeing this, Qiao Bing felt helpless; her sister was really something else.

There was no need to get so angry just because someone disagreed with your investment.

Why get so worked up? Not even finishing her soup. She only had half a spoonful, and to not even drink that remaining half before leaving? What a waste.

Lin Dong then murmured softly, ”Since you want to see, I’ll just satisfy you tomorrow!”
