Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1501: Chapter 1500 Good Intentions Taken for Donkey’s Liver and Lung!

Lin Dong asked, ”What’s up?”

Today, Lin Dong’s visit to the War Department actually wasn’t urgent, and he could even skip it altogether.

Because today, their Piranha Special Combat Team was facing off against the Dragon Country Special Team ’Green Pepper Special Warfare Team.’

The outcome of this match wasn’t crucial as the Piranha Special Combat Team had already qualified for the next stage.

Also, since both teams were from the Dragon Country’s Battle Area, they weren’t likely to go too hard on each other.

That’s why Lin Dong was still here at the moment.

Chu Yunxiu blocked Lin Dong’s way and said, ”I have a good friend in Jianghai who has fallen ill. The hospitals there couldn’t cure her, so she came to the Capital City for treatment.”

”She’s on a flight that arrives after ten this morning. When that time comes, you and my Little Bing will accompany me to pick her up.”

”I promised to arrange everything for her. If you can cure her, you help her out. If not, we’ll have Qiao Bing arrange for her to be admitted to the Capital City’s hospital. We’ll get their specialists to examine her...”

Hearing this, Lin Dong was speechless, ”Is it okay if I don’t go?”

”Not going? You try that! Why is it so hard for you to do a little favor? And you still want to marry my daughter?” Chu Yunxiu raised her voice.

Her loud voice naturally woke up the sleeping Qiao Bing, who came out and asked:

”Mom, why are you making such a racket so early in the morning?”

Chu Yunxiu then repeated what she had said to Qiao Bing.

”Little Bing, Mom’s good friend is your Aunt Zhang. Aunt Zhang was really good to us back in the day. When our family was poor, and it was just me struggling to raise you and your sister, at our poorest we couldn’t even pay the rent. If it hadn’t been for Aunt Zhang lending us the money, our whole family would have been sleeping on the streets...”

Hearing this, Qiao Bing said, ”Mom, we’ll accompany you.”

Lin Dong, upon hearing this, also said, ”Okay.”

”Great, we’ll head out after breakfast,” Chu Yunxiu said.

Lin Dong and Qiao Bing nodded, and then the three of them finished their breakfast together.

After breakfast, Chu Yunxiu said, ”We’ll need to take two cars, as Aunt Zhang’s family will be coming as well. One car won’t be enough.”

”As for the cars, let’s borrow them from Xiaoxue.”

”Okay,” Lin Dong nodded.

Then, all three of them went to Qiao Xue’s company and borrowed two commercial vehicles from her company.

Both cars were Mercedes-Benz S-Classes. Then, Lin Dong and Qiao Bing drove separately, heading for Capital City’s Airport.

It was then that Lin Dong called Tang Jun at the War Department.

”Tang Jun, I’m not coming over today. Or I might come later. You lead the team and play against them,” Lin Dong said.

Tang Jun replied, ”Okay, Instructor.”

After hanging up the phone, he kept driving.

Around ten-thirty, the three of them reached the airport by car.

After arriving at the airport, Chu Yunxiu told Lin Dong and Qiao Bing, ”They’ve already arrived; let’s hurry over.”

”Mm-hm,” Lin Dong and Qiao Bing nodded and followed Chu Yunxiu to meet the guests.

They soon met the people they were there to pick up at the exit of the arrival corridor.

There were four people in total.

One was Chu Yunxiu’s sick friend, Aunt Zhang, who had helped their family in the past.

In addition to her, there was Aunt Zhang’s husband and their children.

”Yunxiu, what happened? Why are you late? We’ve been waiting here for you for a good ten minutes,” Aunt Zhang’s husband complained, knowing Chu Yunxiu.

Chu Yunxiu said apologetically, ”Sorry, we got caught in a traffic jam.”

”Aunt Zhang, you look so haggard. What exactly is wrong with you? Let my daughter Little Bing’s boyfriend take a look quickly.”

”He’s quite skilled in medical arts...”

Lin Dong immediately identified what sickness Aunt Zhang had.

The sickness was indeed troublesome, something that ordinary people would struggle to cure.

However, naturally, it didn’t pose a difficulty for Lin Dong, it was quite simple for him to cure her.

He just needed to use acupuncture.

At the moment, he stepped forward and said, ”Aunt Zhang, hello, I am Sister Bing’s boyfriend. I just took a glance at your condition and I already know what’s going on.”

”I can cure you with acupuncture!”

However, before he could finish speaking, Aunt Zhang’s husband rolled his eyes and said, ”Chu Yunxiu, what is this supposed to mean?”

”Have you just picked some young kid to deal with us? When we came, you promised to find us experts from the Capital City.”

”You said your daughter works as a doctor at Jingdu General Hospital, capable of finding any expert...”

Chu Yunxiu explained, ”My son-in-law’s medical arts are no worse than those experts.”

”Who are you kidding? So young, what kind of sickness can he treat? And using acupuncture? I think, Chu Yunxiu, you just want to fob us off.”

”Indeed, your daughter has become successful now, not like before. You don’t want to bother with poor friends like us anymore, it’s a pity my wife was blind back then, helping a bunch of ingrates...”

Chu Yunxiu’s face turned quite red upon hearing this.

Qiao Bing’s expression also turned ugly; Aunt Zhang’s husband’s words were truly unpleasant.

Lin Dong, however, couldn’t be bothered to indulge him.

He spoke directly, ”Okay, if you don’t want me to treat the condition, that’s your choice. But let me make this clear, those hospital experts you find may not necessarily be able to cure your wife’s sickness.”

Aunt Zhang’s husband sneered, rolling his eyes and said, ”Young man, don’t try to impress people here. Off with you.”

”You claim the hospital experts can’t cure her, but only you can? Who do you think you are?”

Chu Yunxiu quickly gave Lin Dong a hint with her eyes, signaling him to stop talking.

Lin Dong didn’t bother to say more, respecting their fate.

”Yun Xiu, just tell us. Are you willing to find us an expert from the Capital City to treat my wife?” Aunt Zhang’s husband asked directly.

”Of course, I am,” said Chu Yunxiu. ”Since you think the experts from the Capital City are good, fine, we’ll take you to Jingdu General Hospital for treatment, and I’ll have my daughter find an expert for you.”

”That sounds more like it,” said Aunt Zhang’s husband and his family.

Afterward, they took the family to the Capital City’s hospital.

Qiao Bing also helped them with the hospital admission and arranged for famous experts to see them.

After everything was arranged, Lin Dong was considering leaving the hospital since there was nothing left for him to do.

However, Qiao Bing stopped him and said,

”Lin Dong, since you’ve come all this way to the hospital, why not meet the Dean?”

”The Dean has been looking for you several times and said he really wants to meet you.”

Hearing this, Lin Dong nodded, ”Okay.”

Lin Dong had met Dean Liu Bo before and had a fairly good impression of him; since he was at their hospital, he figured it wouldn´t hurt to see him.

Lin Dong found his phone number and made a call to him.

On the other end, Dean Liu Bo was in his office and became excited upon receiving Lin Dong’s call,

”Chief Lin, I can hardly believe it; you actually made a call to me.”

Lin Dong laughingly said, ”Dean Liu Bo, I’m at your hospital right now.”

”What?” Hearing this, Dean Liu Bo quickly said, ”Where are you now? I’ll come to you immediately.”

This time meeting Lin Dong, he was determined to beseech Chief Lin, even if it meant being shameless, to hold a medical lecture at their hospital.
