Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 392: Chapter 392: I’ve Made the Diagnosis

Zhou Tianming finished telling the story of the ’Ascension Path,’ and then he led Lin Dong and Shen Yun up the path.

Soon, the three of them approached the Zhou Family Courtyard’s main building.

This main building was where the direct members of the Zhou family lived.

The great clan chief of the entire Zhou Shi Clan, Master Zhou, resided here.

At the moment, Old Master Zhou was in the hall of the main building, sitting in a wheelchair with a blanket over his legs, appearing very frail and thin.

One could tell at a glance he had been plagued by illness for a long time.

However, his eyes were deep and piercing, and when they rested on someone, they exerted an intangible pressure.

Currently, there were many people gathered around him.

Sitting opposite him was a youth, gentlemanly and smiling; it was none other than Lin Tiance.

Lin Dong had spotted Lin Tiance before even entering the door.

However, Lin Tiance was facing away from Lin Dong and hadn’t seen him.

He seemed to be talking with Elder Zhou about something.

”Old Patriarch, I’m back!” Zhou Tianming hadn’t even entered when he bellowed loudly.

As he spoke, everyone in the living room turned to look toward the door.

First, it was Old Master Zhou, his cloudy eyes looking over in this direction, revealing a faint smile on his face.

Then, there was a middle-aged man who looked a lot like Zhou Tianming, dressed in formal clothes, possessing the momentum of someone of high status—his second brother, Zhou Tianzheng, holding a senior position in the medical system.

Following were Lin Tiance and Li Yanran, who also turned to look outside.

When Lin Tiance saw Lin Dong, his eyes instantly turned icy cold, probably because he hadn’t expected to encounter Lin Dong here.

Li Yanran was also very surprised and exclaimed:

”Lin Dong, what are you doing here?”

Her words naturally led to a wave of confusion among everyone present.

Zhou Tianming was curious as to why Miss Yanran, who was with Lin Tiance, knew Doctor Lin Dong.

”Tianming, the young man you’ve brought, who is he?”

Zhou Tianzheng couldn’t help but ask.

Zhou Tianming quickly introduced Lin Dong: ”This is a Divine Doctor introduced to me by President Shen, I brought him here to treat the old patriarch!”

As soon as he spoke, Zhou Tianzheng snorted coldly, ”He’s so young, and yet he dares to call himself a Divine Doctor?”

Zhou Tianming promptly replied again: ”Second Brother, I have personally verified Divine Doctor Lin Dong’s medical arts.”

”His expertise is absolutely one of the highest I have seen, and he might really be able to cure the old patriarch.”

However, his second brother, Zhou Tianzheng, shook his head: ”We don’t need him, Young Master Lin has already brought a Divine Doctor here. That will suffice!”

Following his words, a man in his fifties standing beside Lin Tiance stepped forward.

Zhou Tianzheng pointed at him and said:

”This is Dr. Jiang Song from Dragon Country Capital’s first hospital, a nationally renowned internal medicine specialist, who has won numerous international awards!”

”His papers have been published multiple times in the World’s Top Medical Journal.”

”He is one of Dragon Country’s top doctors, and Young Master Lin specifically invited him from the Capital City to treat the old patriarch...”

As he introduced Jiang Song, the doctor modestly said:

”It’s all just a false reputation.”

”Dr. Jiang Song, you’re too modest. You have been the Old Patriarch of Lin Family’s personal doctor. Over the years, under your medical care, the Old Ancestor has been in good health, and you’ve played an indispensable role.”

”Moreover, you have treated the patriarchs of many big families in the Capital City. It is indeed an honor for us that you have come all this way to Jianghai, just to treat our family patriarch, all for the sake of Young Master Lin...”

Zhou Tianzheng praised Jiang Song non-stop.

Jiang Song smiled and said, ”There’s no need for such politeness, I just hope that after I cure Elder Zhou’s illness, you Zhou family will fulfill a condition for Young Master Lin.”

”Alright, let’s not waste any more words, I will start treating Elder Zhou now.”

”Good, good,” Zhou Tianzheng kept nodding and immediately introduced Dr. Jiang Song to Elder Zhou.

Old Master Zhou squinted his eyes and reached out his hand.

”Elder Zhou, you don’t need to extend your hand,” Jiang Song shook his head.

Elder Zhou coughed slightly, puzzled: ”Don’t you need to take my pulse to treat me?”

Jiang Song shook his head, sneering: ”I’m not a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine; I don’t need to take pulses!”

”The methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine haven’t been proven by science, unlike my Western medical research, which can be published in the World’s Top Medical Journal and even win awards!”

”As for Traditional Chinese Medicine’s pulse diagnosis, it certainly can’t compare to the clarity of Western medicine’s tests and examinations.”

Hearing his words, Elder Zhou frowned slightly, somewhat displeased.

”But I would rather have a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine take a look, and I trust them more,” Elder Zhou couldn’t help but say.

As soon as he spoke, his second son, Zhou Tianzheng, hurriedly said:

”Old Patriarch, what era are we in now? You should believe in science.”

”If Western medicine isn’t better than Traditional Chinese Medicine, then why is it that over ninety percent of treatments are done with Western medicine when people seek medical care outside?”

”Those hospitals aren’t foolish; if Western medicine weren’t more effective, why would they all have developed into Western medicine hospitals?”

Jiang Song also nodded: ”Elder Zhou, you’ve always chosen Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat you in the past, right?”

”This might also be why your illness has never been properly cured.”

”Let’s hurry up and try my Western method, I’m sure to cure you!”

Although Elder Zhou was displeased inside, he thought this man seemed quite confident and had some strength,

so he nodded: ”Okay, then today, I’ll try your Western medicine treatment.”

Jiang Song nodded, and then began his examination of Elder Zhou.

The more he examined, the more he frowned.

The Western medical physical examination, the use of the stethoscope, neither revealed anything.

Later, he even carried out some tests with his instruments and lab analysis, but found no leads.

After a full hour of effort, he came up with nothing.

Seeing this, Lin Dong couldn’t help but sneer.

”And you dare to say that our Traditional Chinese Medicine is inferior to your Western medicine?”

At this, Jiang Song instantly turned to look at Lin Dong.

He hmphed and began to scold Lin Dong:

”Where did this brat come from? When I’m treating someone, do I allow you to question me?”

”Do you think treating an illness is that simple? With complex disorders, doesn’t it require various deliberations, a series of test results, imaging results, before a final diagnosis can be made?”

”Even the most brilliant doctors in the world can’t diagnose Elder Zhou’s condition in just an hour!”

”Oh? Is that so? But I’ve already diagnosed it,” said Lin Dong.
