Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 387: Chapter 387: I apologize to you

In Zhang Yao’s view, probably no one could resist such a temptation.

As long as she agreed to be his girlfriend, she could get a suite and save herself the struggle of half a lifetime.

Unless this woman was a tycoon herself, how could anyone refuse?

However, she was mistaken.

At the moment, Tan Ya said:

”I still can’t agree to your proposal.”

”Oh? Why not, do you think what I’m offering is too little? I can give you another suite.”

”And I work in cosmetics. Do you know about that Beautifying Powder that’s all the rage now? I am one of their franchisees.”

”Just become my girlfriend, and you can quit your job and work at my company.”

”At my company, you could easily earn a hundred thousand a month without much effort. That’s more than even your Director makes, and you wouldn’t have to work as hard as a doctor, staying up late and working overtime...”

Hearing this, Tan Ya shook her head even more.

She said, ”Although I haven’t had much contact with you, from the way you talk, I feel like we are not the same kind of people.”

”Alright, I need to work now. Don’t disturb me.”

Upon hearing these words, Zhou Yu’s entire face turned dark.

He lost all of his previous refined demeanor.

He had never imagined that he would be rejected by Tan Ya after spending so much to pursue her.

She did not give him any face at all.

Zhang Yao was also stunned from a distance.

”She actually rejected him... but that’s a suite!” she said, not understanding.

Tan Ya turned around and walked towards Lin Dong.

But at this moment, Zhou Yu reached out and grabbed Tan Ya’s arm.

He then said in a deep voice, ”I don’t understand, why do you reject me? Is what I’m offering still not enough?”

”I just told you my conditions, and you probably couldn’t earn that amount even if you worked as a doctor your whole life!”

Tan Ya frowned and hurriedly said, ”Let go of my arm, you’re hurting me.”

At this point, Lin Dong could no longer just watch.

He was quite satisfied with Tan Ya, as she had withstood the temptation of money. For a doctor, that’s extremely important.

Because if a doctor only thinks about making money from their profession and has their mind only on cash, it is extremely dangerous.

If Tan Ya were that kind of person, Lin Dong certainly would not let her continue as his student.

Fortunately, she had passed the test, and Lin Dong admired her even more.

He decided to treat her like his own apprentice, willing to impart all he could teach her in the medical arts.

At that moment, Zhou Yu still hadn’t let go, and Lin Dong walked over, looking at Zhou Yu coldly, and said:

”Didn’t you hear my student asking you to let go?”

”Who are you? Mind your own business!” Zhou Yu did not take Lin Dong seriously. Young and rich people like him often tend to be arrogant.

They rarely take other young people seriously.

Lin Dong said, ”I am her teacher, and also the head of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department.”

”Here, I call the shots. I want you to let go of her, apologize to her, and then get lost!”

”Hahaha...” Upon hearing this, Zhou Yu burst into laughter, ”A damn doctor thinks too highly of himself?”

”Can you earn a hundred thousand a month? A million? If not, shut up!!”

”Dad earns millions a month, why should I listen to your yapping?”

”And you say you call the shots here? You don’t count for anything.”

”Pop!!” Lin Dong couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and simply slapped him across the face.

Instantly, Zhou Yu spun like a top, taking two full turns before he came to a stop.

”Earning millions a month is something special? I made two hundred million in a week,” Lin Dong remarked with a sneer.

Humm~~~

Zhou Yu felt a buzzing in his ears on the side where he was slapped.

His mind went blank.

The reason for this wasn’t Lin Dong’s claim about making two hundred million a week; only a fool would believe that.

The reason was that Lin Dong’s slap was particularly harsh.

It had left him utterly dazed!

Several minutes later, he finally came to his senses.

Then, pointing at Lin Dong and shaking all over with extreme rage, he bellowed:

”You’re dead today, how dare you lay a hand on me!”

”Do you know who I am? I am Zhou Yu, a tycoon worth over a billion. Moreover, I’m from the Zhou Shi Clan!”

”Just wait, though I’m involved in the cosmetics business now, my connections in the medical industry are beyond your imagination. With a mere phone call, I can have you fired!”

”Forget about this job of yours.”

With that, he was about to make a call.

But at that moment, an unexpected disturbance arose.

Loud voices were heard in the corridor outside the clinic.

A panicked and flustered voice yelled out:

”Divine Doctor Lin, I am Zhou Tianming. Yesterday I was blind-sighted and failed to recognize the Divine Doctor. Today, I’m here to apologize.”

Rather shocked, Zhou Yu who was about to make a phone call stopped short.

”Third... Third Master!!”

This was Zhou Tianming, the third master of their noble Zhou Shi Clan.

In Zhou Yu’s eyes, a figure like Third Master Zhou Tianming was as untouchable as the heavens.

He commanded assets in the billions and was the son of the Clan Chief of the Zhou Family, Zhou Gong, having intricate and sprawling connections.

Even at the annual clan meetings, he had only seen Third Master Zhou Tianming from a distance, always so brilliant and majestic.

Who would have thought he’d see him here in such a state of disarray?

There he was with his hair in a mess, some injuries on his body, a haggard expression, his face showing fear as he deeply bowed and apologized to the very doctor Zhou Yu had just dismissed as insignificant.

”Who is this doctor, to command such respect even from our Zhou Family’s Third Master?”
