Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 351: Chapter 351: The Era of Lin Dong

Elder Wang Taisui now took out nine silver needles.

The nine silver needles were all of the same length, each being three inches.

At this moment, he held nine filiform needles in both hands and inserted them all at once!

”Shua shua shua~~~~”

The nine filiform needles simultaneously pierced into nine acupoints of the first patient.

Witnessing this scene, many old Traditional Chinese Medicine predecessors exclaimed:

”That is the Nine Dragons Divine Needles, a secret that’s been passed down in Wang’s Family of Traditional Medicine for hundreds of years.”

”Elder Wang is going all out, actually using the Nine Dragons Divine Needles!”

”It seems like he doesn’t want to show mercy and is set on defeating Lin Dong.”

”Probably because he values talented individuals, wanting to prevail over Lin Dong so that he would join Northern Faction’s Chinese Medicine.”

”...”

Experts watched the technique; they all revered the Nine Dragons Divine Needles and at the moment, they didn’t want to take their eyes off Wang Taisui’s needling hand for even a second.

As for the laypeople, they just enjoyed the spectacle.

Although they did not understand the intricacies, seeing Elder Wang using nine filiform needles simultaneously to needle was enough to astonish them.

”That’s incredible!”

”Nine silver needles, inserted into nine acupoints at the same time. How precise must one’s hands be to accomplish that!”

”...”

Indeed, this technique was very difficult to master. It took Elder Wang a full ten years to learn the Nine Dragons Divine Needles thoroughly.

The Nine Dragons Divine Needles were taught to Wang Xiuxin by Wang Taisui when he was young, but up to now, he has only learned half of it.

He could only use four filiform needles simultaneously, still a long way from true mastery.

The Nine Dragons Divine Needles aren’t just about the flamboyant display of technique, their healing efficacy even surpasses the Zhu Ge family’s ’Double Dragons Probe for the Acupoint’.

In addition to treating common diseases, they can also cure over a thousand complicated cases.

The difficult disease that the first patient suffered from was just one of the types treatable by the Nine Dragons Divine Needles.

In less than ten minutes, the patient’s symptoms improved.

The originally swollen body subsided, the feeling of chest congestion also vanished, and the body became incredibly relaxed.

He exclaimed in surprise, ”Elder Wang, you truly deserved to be the top Chinese medicine practitioner in Dragon Country. Your acupuncture is incredibly potent. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all now. My illness is completely cured!”

The sight naturally caused another stir.

Everyone present was witnessing such miraculous acupuncture for the first time.

Their gazes also unanimously turned to Lin Dong.

”He tied with Elder Wang in diagnosis and prescription, but there’s no way he can even tie in acupuncture, right?”

”Of course, there’s no way he could know the Nine Dragons Divine Needles!”

”But losing is normal; after all, Elder Wang is regarded as the top person in Dragon Country Chinese Medicine. Losing to Elder Wang is not shameful. Lin Dong is already very impressive!”

”One can only say it’s an honour to lose!”

”...”

Everyone thought that Lin Dong was destined to lose.

But at this moment, Lin Dong performed the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle technique.

After he displayed the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle, Elder Wang’s expression changed slightly, and he couldn’t take his eyes off Lin Dong.

Lin Dong’s technique was not as dazzling as Elder Wang’s Nine Dragons Divine Needles but was very stable and swift in needling.

Moreover, he used even fewer needles, merely five in total.

The moment those five silver needles pierced into the patient’s body, instantly, the illness visible to the naked eye faded from the patient’s body.

Swelling disappeared, chest congestion disappeared.

The patient exclaimed in astonishment, ”This is miraculous, right after the needles were inserted, I immediately felt the discomfort in my body vanish.”

Even the time it took him to cure that patient was less than Old Wang’s.

At this moment, Elder Wang Taisui couldn’t contain himself any longer and asked Lin Dong with a hint of excitement:

”Lin Dong, is the technique you used the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle?”

Lin Dong nodded, ”That’s right!”

Hearing this, Elder Wang Taisui’s eyes burst with surprise, ”Good, good, good!”

”I never expected that among the younger generation of Dragon Country’s Chinese Medicine, there would actually be someone who has learned the lost Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle.”

”It is said that the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle consists of eighty-one needles in total.”

”Each needle has many variations, and among them, there are five needles that are said to revive the dead and heal bones. I ask you, Lin Dong, how many needles have you learned by now? Have you... have you learned those five needles?”

As long as Lin Dong had learned more than half of the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle, then even he, Wang Taisui, would have to admiringly concede defeat.

The Nine Dragons Divine Needles, strong as they are, still fall short compared to the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle.

Of course, if Lin Dong had only learned a few insignificat needles, then naturally he would still be better than Lin Dong.

Lin Dong smiled in response, ”I have already mastered all seventy-six of the common needles in the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle.”

”As for that legendary five needles, I have learned one. That one is capable of neutralizing all poisons in the world, the ’Nine Needles of Ice and Fire’.”

The Nine Needles of Ice and Fire, one of those legendary five needles in the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle, which Lin Dong had just learned not long ago, has the ability to neutralize all poisons in the world. These poisons include those from venomous snakes, spiders, centipedes and such, as well as Gu Poison, chemical poisons, and so on.

In short, any poison, as long as the person has not died, he can neutralize, he can cure!

Such is the wondrous effectiveness of the five legendary needles of the Taiyi Yin Yang Divine Needle, truly like the methods of an Immortal.

And upon hearing Lin Dong’s words, even Elder Wang Taisui’s body trembled with excitement.

”What did you say? You’re saying you know all the common seventy-six needles? And, you also know one of those five needles, the ’Nine Needles of Ice and Fire’?”

”Can you... Can you demonstrate the Nine Needles of Ice and Fire for me?”

Lin Dong smiled and nodded, his confidence in defeating Old Wang and becoming the top Chinese medicine practitioner in Dragon Country was based on the Nine Needles of Ice and Fire.

He was not afraid that others would learn it after watching, because it simply couldn’t be learned that way.

At this moment, he demonstrated the ’Nine Needles of Ice and Fire’ in front of Old Wang.

Among the ten patients, there was one who suffered from a deadly, poison-induced disease.

Lin Dong chose him as the subject to demonstrate the ’Nine Neediles of Ice and Fire’.

He had already used the Ice and Fire Nine Needles twice, treating Gu Poison for both Qiao Bing and Long Ying, so using them again came easily to him.

He took out two filiform needles, one gold and one silver, channeled his Inner Qi into them, and two streams of Qi, one blue and one red, entwined around them.

The two filiform needles each generated extremely hot and cold temperatures.

Lin Dong then applied the needles, starting with the Fire Needle.

”Swoosh~~”

As the Fire Needle was inserted, the patient’s body instantly turned red, and the Yin-cold properties of the toxin were completely forced out.

He spat out a mouthful of liquid that gave off a chill.

Then, following the same method, Lin Dong used the Ice Needle.

This time, the patient’s body turned completely pale, and he spat out another mouthful of liquid.

That liquid gave off steam.

After these two mouthfuls of liquid were expelled, the previously paralyzed patient leapt up, excitedly saying:

”My God, it’s miraculous. I can stand up again, and my body feels better than ever!”

And seeing this spectacle, everyone was utterly dumbfounded.

”This... in this world, can there really be such acupuncture skills? It’s practically divine, like the arts of Immortals!!”

Elder Wang Taisui could hardly conceal the excitement in his heart.

He exclaimed loudly, ”I’ve lost! I’m utterly convinced in both mind and spirit! At the same time, I’m also gratified.”

”From now on, in Dragon Country’s Chinese Medicine, there is a successor, no, the future of Dragon Country Chinese Medicine will see the rise of a transcendent doctor akin to Shennong, Hua Tuo, Bian Que, and Zhang Zhongjing!!!”

”Dragon Country’s Chinese Medicine will welcome... The Era of Lin Dong!!!”
