Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 949: Chapter 948: Illusory Calamity Removed Her Invisibility Curtain

”Boa Hancock! Do you know what you’re saying?!”

”Of course I do, but I’m not interested in the business you have, whether it’s Whitebeard or anyone else, I don’t want to get involved.”

”You better think it through!”

”It’s my nap time, I’ll consider it when I’m in a better mood.”

Click, Hancock hung up the phone, completely indifferent to the people on the World Government side.

”Hancock! You can’t...”

”Alright, Granny, I don’t want to talk about this topic, considering how beautiful I am, why don’t you study this matter yourself, okay?”

”Ah... okay...”

Besides petrification, the Love-Love Fruit has a strong ability that revolves around ’beauty,’ even Gloriosa couldn’t avoid its effects; by the time she reacted, Hancock was already gone.

”Sigh...” Gloriosa was also somewhat helpless, Hancock’s strength is quite enough to ensure the safety of the Kuja Pirates, it’s just her personality that’s a bit of a headache.

She behaves this way because she’s in a good mood, but if she’s in a bad mood, she might physically kick someone.

Still, complaining aside, Gloriosa really needs to think about what to do next, as the World Government is not fully prepared yet, which is why they haven’t revealed specific information in the newspapers.

Even summoning the Seven Warlords of the Sea was just a preliminary move, they know well that these scheming individuals wouldn’t all show up at once, this test was to see their attitudes for further planning.

Even in the recent call, the World Government didn’t clearly state what they wanted, they just asked Hancock to follow orders and prepare for the upcoming actions.

Currently, among the Seven Warlords, only Kuma knows the detailed actions, thanks to his specialty, Kuma enjoys a level of trust the others don’t have.

Hancock isn’t interested in what the World Government plans, she doesn’t have a favorable opinion of them, compared to their so-called summoning, she’s more concerned about the present matters.

”Olga~ Long time no see, try the Kuja’s specialties, caught from the Windless Zone, no trace of fruit, I promise.”

If those who called earlier saw Hancock’s response now, their jaws would drop in shock.

In Hancock’s tone, there’s no coldness, only an endless tenderness, she rushed to hang up because Olga has come to the Kuja for vacation again.

She managed to say two sentences before hanging up because she was in a relatively good mood.

”Ah, actually it’s fine to have some fruit once in a while, I’ve recently found roasted pineapple quite tasty.”

The past aversion to fruits is nearly a thing of the past; however, Olga prefers processed fruits rather than eating them raw; roasted pineapple is one such example.

While roasted fruit sounds outlandish, roasted pineapple is quite delicious. High heat breaks down the structure, making it less sharp on the tongue, and further brings out its sweetness.

”Didn’t you hear?! Why are you still standing there! Go prepare roasted pineapple! Please wait a moment, Olga~ It will be ready in no time.”

Hancock showed what it means to change expressions like a Sichuan opera performer, directing the chefs outside; though she wanted to cook herself, past experiments proved her lack of talent.

Her culinary creations weren’t toxic, per se, but they were somewhat hard to swallow, so she decided to give up on that idea.

”I was just casually mentioning it... what was the World Government’s call about earlier?”

”They seem to be planning a war, intending to gather the Seven Warlords for battle.”

”War? Here we go again, Captain Kaidou is bound to get excited.”

Leaning against the cushions behind her, Olga seems to envision her future busyness.

”I have yet to agree to their summons, should I respond to them, and gather intelligence? They haven’t mentioned the Hundred Beasts as the target.”

”No rush, doing so would be suspicious, let’s wait and see. They won’t tell you right when the fight breaks out.

It doesn’t matter who it’s aimed at; Kaidou just loves war. As long as it’s a large-scale conflict, he’ll definitely join in the fun. Who knows how many people he’ll bring this time, but poor Uncle Queen will surely suffer.”

This isn’t new for Kaidou, for instance when he’s wandering and spots pirates fighting, ordinary folks steer clear to avoid trouble, while some might sit back and enjoy the show, but Kaidou’s different.

As long as these individuals are strong enough, he’ll launch indiscriminate attacks, turning the fight into a melee for his amusement.

There are only a few people worth starting a war with for the World Government, Kaidou certainly won’t miss such events.

”Right, hand me your Rotom, almost forgot the main business, it’s time for your system update.”

”System update?”

Though puzzled, Hancock handed over her Rotom Phone.

This version is just the standard commercial version, lacking some internal Hundred Beasts software.

Internal personnel’s Rotom differs, some special software can only be updated on Ghost Island or transmitted via an upgraded Rotom, Olga helps Hancock update to the internal version of Fatale Express.

”Alright, all set, now anything you order will arrive in a day, newspapers and intelligence will be delivered directly too, making it easier to gather external information.”

News Bird doesn’t enter the Windless Zone, so updates on Kuja’s information are somewhat delayed.

”Recently, Tesoro has been collaborating with Morgans to create an electronic newspaper, making things more convenient in the future. If you need anything else, let me know, and I’ll handle it for you.”

With Olga rarely visiting, she intends to settle everything at once, but waits in vain for Hancock’s reply. ℯ

When she eventually raises her head again, she sees nothing but a pair of eyes, brimming with Red Hearts.

”Hey, did you misunderstand my intentions? Stop thinking about those silly things!”

Olga brought Hancock back to reality with a karate chop, steering the conversation back on track, such as recording Kuja’s geographic location to provide Dragonite the Eternal Pose for Kuja.

...

Elsewhere, after a long flight, King returned to Wano Kuni with a somewhat complicated mood.

”A toast to Brother King!”

”Cheers!!”

Though he didn’t take out Blackbeard, he sure made him live through several hellish fire experiences, ruining one of his eyes; if Blackbeard’s eye would recover from this, King would have a reason to chat with Marco about who’s the real Phoenix.

His complicated feelings stem from the celebration surrounding his latest Wanted Poster, as Drake and others gather around it, celebrating the bounty’s huge increase.

This wouldn’t be an issue normally, but when Drake drunkenly starts toasting his bounty poster, he can’t help but feel exasperated.
