Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 930: Chapter 929: Feraligatr’s Blind Box Unboxing

Tiger was very familiar with this route. Previously, in order to rescue Tom, they had ambushed ahead on the Sea Train’s tracks.

That operation was very simple for them. Tom himself was a member of the Fishman Race, so as long as they got the Sea Train into the water, they could naturally use the ocean’s advantage to rescue Tom.

This time was different. Tom’s apprentice was a human, and the ”Gods of Water” were on their way. If they flipped the Sea Train like before, it might turn into a Russian-style rescue.

[Report, we have killed all the enemies. Hostages? What hostages? Didn’t see any hostages.]

But this time, they had a higher level of armed forces. Although their numbers were much less than before, they gained a giant Feraligatr as a ”war machine.”

Under the cover of the night and ocean, Feraligatr’s blue scales became less conspicuous, with only its red dorsal plates emitting a terrifying aura under the moonlight.

Its strong forelimbs sliced through the sea’s surface as the Feraligatr continually switched swimming styles. Aside from the usual crocodile methods, it was also adept at butterfly stroke, freestyle, and breaststroke, and it was currently advancing using the breaststroke style.

”New, Tiger bro, why would a crocodile learn to do the breaststroke? Isn’t that weird?”

”Ah Long taught it when he was bored, and it’s not that strange. Look, isn’t there a freestyle-swimming frog over there?”

To Tiger, Ah Long teaching the crocodile to swim was better than him causing trouble elsewhere. Even if Ah Long had calmed down a bit now, Tiger was still not entirely at ease.

”This world is indeed strange... New....”

The freestyle-swimming frog and the breaststroking crocodile made Hatchan feel astounded, while also catching Tom’s attention.

”Yokozuna? Yokozuna! Hurry, where are you going?”

Due to the waves, Yokozuna didn’t hear Tom’s call. It was Tiger who finally had the Feraligatr grab it directly back.

At first, it tried to attack Feraligatr but calmed down upon seeing Tom.

Tom also learned about Yokozuna’s intention to rescue Franky and the origin of its scars.

”New, it truly is a frog full of loyalty...”

Yokozuna thought Tom was really dead, so it crashed into the Sea Train every day, leaving countless scars on its body.

”Don’t worry, Franky is still alive. I’ll bring him back.”

After soothing Yokozuna’s emotions, Tom took it along on the mission to rescue Franky.

...

Meanwhile, Franky was already chained inside the carriage and gagged. His constant trash talking had irritated the CP9 members, so they gagged him completely.

Lucci and the others were resting with their eyes closed inside the carriage. Their years-long undercover mission had come to an end; they had completed this phase of the task.

Now, they were very close to Judicial Island. Inevitably, they were beginning to relax, but just then, the Sea Train let out a sharp whistle and began to brake suddenly.

”What’s going on?”

”Notice, emergency notice, there is a Sea King Type on the track ahead. Armed personnel, please proceed to drive them away immediately. Repeat, there is a Sea King Type on the track ahead. Armed personnel, please proceed to drive them away immediately!”

The conductor’s voice came over the broadcast. The ordinary agents hadn’t noticed anything unusual, but Lucci and others sensed something was off.

They had been undercover in the Carrera Company for years, deeply understanding the Sea Train. Since its creation, the issue of Sea King Type attacks had been specially addressed, and it had never been reported to have such attacks except during test runs.

They couldn’t help but stand up, planning to see what was going on.

However, before they could move, a violent explosion sound came from the front carriage, accompanied by a huge shock in the carriages behind.

...

In front of the Sea Train, the conductor sat paralyzed on the second carriage, his pants wet from fluids. With the waves’ erosion, he maintained his last bit of dignity, leaving people unclear about the source of the liquids.

The continuous squeaking sound entered his ears, the sound of metal twisting. At this time, the head of the Sea Train had been bitten by the Feraligatr and turned into a heap of metal scraps with the closing of its jaws.

Feraligatr’s movements were usually slow, even relaxed, but in a burst state, Feraligatr’s speed far exceeded the norm.

Its explosive power made it impossible for people to see its actions when it pounced and bit its prey. When people noticed something was wrong, they often only saw a fading shadow.

Relying on its explosive power, Feraligatr had already arrived on the unavoidable path of the Sea Train, blocking its way.

Due to its size, it was difficult for Feraligatr to support its body on the land. This giant Feraligatr, over twenty meters long, found it even more so, but in the water, aided by buoyancy, it could unleash more power.

As the name suggests, power is the trait of this Pokemon.

Unlike other Water Type of the Three Starter, Feraligatr’s appearance isn’t frequent, to be precise, the Three Starter from the Johto Region are all like this.

Their existence is mostly overshadowed by the Three Starter from other regions.

Feraligatr is best at using not water, but its powerful jaws and sharp claws. Now it began its action, after blocking the Sea Train, it moved along the tracks like opening a blind box, destroying the tops of carriages in the process.

Other fishmen had submerged into the sea by now, leaving only Tiger and Tom on the Feraligatr, searching for Franky’s whereabouts.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

The sound of something cutting through the air came, CP9 who came to check the situation, after seeing the rampaging Feraligatr, kicked out a few Rankyaku towards it, but these attacks were all blocked.

Its defense wasn’t as strong as Tyranitar’s, but blocking these Rankyaku was more than enough.

”This monster doesn’t seem like a Sea King Type...”

Seeing his Rankyaku have no effect, Kaku’s expression became serious.

”No matter what they are, attacking a World Government transport train is a capital crime. Compared to that monster, the ones on its back are more likely the masterminds.”

Tiger and Tom were quite conspicuous. Lucci couldn’t see their faces clearly in the night, but whoever rode on such a monster surely wasn’t there for fun.

”Where did these guys come from? Are they here for Franky?”

”Don’t know, we’ll know after dealing with them. Kalifa, you go watch Franky, Nero is too weak, Kaku, Blueno, you harass this monster, I’m going to capture that controller on its back.”
