Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 947: Chapter 946: The Power of Connections

Nowadays, the BIG MOM Pirates and the Hundred Beasts Pirates are even more closely connected. In her spare time, Charlotte Linlin also talked to her children about the past.

Also known as the Sea Emperor, some topics are always inevitable, so Lola occasionally heard Charlotte Linlin talk about those matters.

The Seven Warlords of the Sea are well-known pirates in the sea. Even if some have declined now, they once had their glory. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

Back then, Charlotte Linlin talked about some of the past affairs of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Aiming at the Navy, known as the Navy Hunter, Hawkeye, and the Pirate Empress who became famous in one battle, all have relatively good reputations in the Seven Warlords of the Sea. There are also some who, through their defeats, indirectly proved their strength.

For example, Moriah lost to Kaido. Although all his companions were killed, he himself survived, which is an extremely rare case among pirates who invaded Kaido’s base camp.

But when mentioning this matter, Lola remembered Charlotte Linlin gritting her teeth because many pastry chefs couldn’t resist the temptation of Alcremie’s allure and actually fled from her territory to Kaido’s.

”Killed... killed all the comrades?”

”I don’t know the specifics either. Anyway, he once clashed with Kaido, and because of this, he became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Kaido might be his nightmare...”

Lola was hiding behind a pillar, telling Luffy what she knew.

”Is Kaido such a ferocious person? His subordinates seem pretty friendly...”

During the time on Sky Island, the Bat-Man didn’t trouble them much. After all, the Rhinoceros Beetle was also dignified, and the Bat-Man thought these guys might be colleagues in the future. Besides asking them to work, he did nothing else.

”Friendly? That’s the Four Emperors of the New World, the most ferocious Great Pirate in the world! How could you think that guy is friendly!”

The current Four Emperors can be divided into two categories. The three males are somewhat okay to those in their territories, but outside, regardless of Whitebeard or Red Hair, they leave a notorious reputation.

As for Charlotte Linlin, she mainly looks at her mental state; when her mental state is abnormal, the threat within her territory is greater, even her biological son cannot stop her.

Lola didn’t even know where to start blaming Luffy for his judgment.

”Kaido? Never heard of that person; however, I’ve heard the name Charlotte Linlin, seems like a little girl with strong destructive power.”

A skeletal structure was also contemplating this sentence, but his logic was more peculiar.

This skeletal structure was Brook, who was also trapped on Thriller Bark due to his shadow being taken away.

The swordsman and musician of the Lunba Pirates, when the Lunba Pirates sailed into the Devil’s Triangle, they encountered a huge upheaval, and the whole crew perished, only Brook survived because of the Revive-Revive Fruit.

But when his soul left the Netherworld and prepared to return to the body, he got lost in the thick fog of the Devil’s Triangle for a year, and by the time he found his body, it had turned into a skeleton.

Compared to others, Brook was old enough, seasoned enough. To him, Roger was a newcomer, Charlotte Linlin hadn’t made a big name yet, and as for Kaido, at that time Kaido was still a soldier of the kingdom army and had not yet gone to sea.

Boom!

A huge rock crashed in, interrupting the untimely conversation.

”Enough with the chit-chat! You don’t know anything at all, you lose because you’re alive! Shadow Assembly- Shadow Emperor!”

The shadows on the island gathered towards Moriah’s body at his summon, causing Moriah’s figure to continually swell, gradually transforming into a giant with an exaggerated physique.

”You might be strong, but I’ve vowed to protect my friends and never be defeated again!”

This was the vow he made when leaving Sky Island, to be able to protect his companions, but completing this vow was a high-difficulty task.

”Saying such words just shows you’re inexperienced! Having not experienced the cruelty of the New World, you don’t understand the horror of this world!”

Ridiculous, this was the only thought in Moriah’s mind, looking at this vibrant newcomer, the fury in Moriah’s heart began to swell. He didn’t know why, but looking at this hopeful face, he seemed to have lost something.

The enraged Moriah launched a fierce attack on Luffy and his group. Compared to the old Moriah, the current Moriah had lost his sharpest claws, but the combination of the Shadow-Shadow Fruit and the giant body still left Luffy and his group in misery.

Although they were still getting stronger, compared to the original timeline, they lacked life-and-death battles.

Zoro and Sanji fought with Crocodile’s officers in Alabasta, but Luffy didn’t. The Bat-Man took the place of Enel, similarly letting Luffy know what’s troublesome. But he lost the life-and-death struggle with CP9.

Even though he also developed the Second Gear and Third Gear, compared to his original timeline, he was still lacking something.

Moriah, due to the word Kaido, had another switch triggered, exploding with even greater combat power in rage.

Physical strength was continuously being consumed, in collision after collision, Luffy was also gradually approaching his limit.

”Looks like your vow is about to be broken soon!”

Moriah’s condition wasn’t great either. Had it been over twenty years ago, he would never lose to these people before him, but now, maintaining this Shadow Emperor was already an immense consumption for him, his willpower was constantly under torment.

Luffy was still okay, but their companions were having great difficulty defending against the indiscriminate attacks of the furious Moriah.

”Experience the pain of loss well!”

Catching the chance, just as Moriah was about to attack other members of the Straw Hat Pirates, an anomaly suddenly occurred as the entire island was covered by an unknown attack.

Looking from above, a paw-shaped imprint suddenly appeared on the island. Whether it was Moriah or Luffy, or people nearby, all lost consciousness in this strike.

At the moment Moriah lost consciousness, numerous shadows began returning to their original bodies, his physique began returning to normal, then he was transferred elsewhere in a nearly teleportation-like manner.

...

”Bartholomew Kuma! What do you mean!”

Moriah woke up quickly, and upon awakening he felt no pain. Looking at the person in front of him, he understood what had just happened.

”Even if you kill those few people, you won’t win; you will still be defeated, it is meaningless. Your body cannot bear his next attack anymore.”

A giant red bubble bear paw was floating in the sky, the pain Moriah had endured. After Kuma separated a part and resent it into Moriah’s body, he understood what Kuma meant.

”What exactly is your purpose here?”
