Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 911: Chapter 910: The Choice Between Pain and Shattering, Kiku’s Change in Attitude

”Hey! Doc Q! Is the Captain really okay? He’s been like this for quite a while.”

After Drake and Kikunojo left here a long time ago, Blackbeard maintained the same posture without moving, and at first, there was a smoke-like substance entangled around his body, which was the Dark-Dark Fruit absorbing the bodily harm.

But now the dark smoke had vanished, yet Blackbeard was still lying on the ground.

”No problem, it’s just that it’s too painful. If it were you, you might have died from the pain by now. To withstand this double pain, one can only say it’s deserving for the Captain.”

Doc Q was preparing eye drops for Van Augur nearby; for a sniper, Drake’s Flash Technique posed a great hazard, and carelessness could potentially ruin his future sniping career.

The doubled pain from the Dark-Dark Fruit couldn’t be alleviated, and wearing Seastone Handcuffs might relieve the side effects of the doubled pain, but then the damage caused would be irreversible.

Between double pain and broken eggs, Blackbeard had to make a choice.

After a long while, Blackbeard finally stood up shakily and started walking towards the port, clutching his groin.

”Captain, where are you going?”

”Drum Kingdom... heard the doctors there are pretty good, I think I need to go have a look...”

”Captain, are you looking down on my medical skills?”

”Stop the nonsense, lend me your horse...”

”No way, Captain, Stronger can’t carry you, you’re too heavy.”

”...”

Doc Q vetoed Blackbeard’s stumbling request to borrow a horse, and in the end, it was Burgess who acted as a ”centaur,” carrying the immobile Blackbeard away from this sad town.

...

”Rotom, is the information still failing to get through?”

”Sorry Rotom, the body is damaged, communication failed Rotom...”

The body of Rotom was floating above the small boat, expressing helplessness about the communication failure; as one of the officers, they likewise used Rotom instead of the original Radio Snail.

Rotom’s abilities are much more convenient in all aspects compared to Radio Snail, but there’s a drawback, it is not Rotom that possesses the communication ability, but the electrical appliances they reside in.

Oven, refrigerator, lawn mower, Rotom residing in different bodies can exert different effects, but when the body is damaged, they become ordinary Pokemon, unable to conduct ultra-long distance real-time communication like before.

”Was it that Blackbeard’s ability that ruined them?”

”Yes Rotom, the battle damaged the electronic components, it’s already beyond repair scope, Rotom.”

Rotom can also act as a repairman, residing in the appliance, they can clearly identify which part of the appliance is damaged and perform self-repair, but if the component has been fundamentally damaged, they can’t do much.

”What a troublesome guy, I ultimately underestimated him after all.”

The Rotom Phone was damaged in her battle with Blackbeard, which is why Drake couldn’t contact others now, though she felt Blackbeard was not simple, she didn’t expect this guy to hide so deeply.

”Miss Drake, the Log Pose was also damaged in the battle, won’t we lose our direction sailing like this?”

”No problem, we’ll find a way out, it’s better to leave that island first, that guy isn’t right, his body is so bizarre that it doesn’t seem human, if a normal man took that hit, he’d be half crippled if not dead.

Yet that guy could still scream, could still fight back..”

She touched her bandaged right eye. Drake was recalling the details of the battle.

Every time after being struck by lightning, Blackbeard would shout loudly, yet however one looked, that guy didn’t suffer any fatal injuries, especially the last Gigavolt Havoc surprisingly didn’t make him lose consciousness, which Drake didn’t expect.

Gigavolt Havoc has no power defects except for the release action being slightly awkward.

According to Blackbeard’s self-exposure, he would feel twice the pain of ordinary people, could withstand double egg-breaking attacks, in a sense, this also counts as an alternative ”strongest man.”

”Alright, go steer, first think of a way to contact Ghost Island over there, the remaining issues you don’t need to worry about.”

She wasn’t sure about the situation with her right eye now, but certainly had to return to Ghost Island for treatment, the force of Blackbeard’s counterattack was by no means small.

Logically she should rest, but now she had no time to rest, Kikunojo knew a lot, but he couldn’t steer a ship, which was the biggest drawback of residents from Wano Kuni.

Due to the policy of national seclusion, they had hardly anyone skilled in ocean navigation, putting Kikunojo in charge of steering, Drake feared this little boat might really be handed over its fate here.

”Sorry, Miss Drake...”

”Ah? Why are you apologizing?”

”I dragged you down, if it wasn’t for that Blackbeard’s gravity locking onto me, you wouldn’t have let him catch you...”

”No problem, weren’t you fighting with his followers too, that Laffitte really joining in on my side was surely a headache.

Moreover, if you have to blame someone, it’s me for not keeping an eye on my opponent, so you don’t have to feel guilty.”

”But... but your eye...”

A few tears slid down Kikunojo’s face, he attributed the reason for Drake’s eye injury to himself and felt a strong sense of guilt.

”Yo, not bad, seems like this time you really consider me as a friend, which is different from a few years ago.”

Seeing Kikunojo shedding tears, Drake instead felt a bit of gain; initially, she had quite an interest in this face, but if by now Kikunojo still maintained the initial attitude, then she also didn’t have any reason to continue.

From antagonism to friendliness, and then to today with tears, it can be seen in Kikunojo’s heart, Drake was no longer a member of the initial enemy.

She just wanted to tell Kikunojo she was okay, definitely could be cured returning to Ghost Island, Pedro was a living example.

He could gouge out one eye and still put it back, she was pretty much the same logic.

However, she turned her mind due to the identity, Kikunojo didn’t know how powerful the treatment on Holy Mountain was, nor had he seen Pedro being cured, in his view, curing all diseases was not the same as organ damage.

So she didn’t reveal the truth and acted dizzy, leaning against Kikunojo behind her.

This time Kikunojo didn’t push away, and afterward, he voluntarily took care of Drake during the voyage.

The temporary damage to one eye did not affect Drake too much, and she gradually regained physical strength during the voyage, and after short sailing, she once again seized a pirate ship.

”You guys, why don’t you even have a Radio Snail?! Do pirates nowadays don’t need phones anymore!”

A group of pirates curled up trembling in the corner, no one dared to rebut Drake’s questioning, and at this time, Kikunojo spotted someone special from the telescope...
