Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 932: Chapter 931: The Fallen Genius

Aqua Ring, a relatively rare recovery skill, but this has nothing to do with Tiger’s Aqua Ring.

Suiryu Kanshoken is the real dissection of his techniques, and the water ring around his arm is actually the technique of Aqua Tail. He didn’t use a tail to attack, instead he used his arm to launch his attack.

Its water guiding effect is even stronger than Fishman Karate, it doesn’t require physical contact to manipulate the seawater below out of thin air.

The water of Water-type Pokemon can be divided into two types: one created through bodily energy conversion and the other from external sources. There’s no essential difference between the two, but the latter has an immense influence on Fruit Ability users.

Unless the person’s ability originates from Arceus, they cannot escape the sea’s disdain in the end.

Under the influence of PYROBROIN particles, although a capability user submerged entirely in seawater won’t lose their ability, their whole body will fall into a state of helplessness.

Fruit Ability can significantly augment a person’s combat power, but in Tiger’s eyes, Lucci’s ability is merely a debuff.

Whether or not he possesses a leopard form, Tiger’s physique is much stronger, though he is proficient in Rokushiki, ultimately it is still at a certain gap with Haki.

Tekkai and Kami-e are more like decreased versions of Armament and Observation Haki, their training difficulty is relatively low, and their strength moderately reduced, but make the skill accessible to more people.

Even if Lucci is someone who could master Awakening within two years and become a member of CP0, that’s in the future.

With the aid of the great officer Spandam, Lucci’s growth has been delayed for years. He might be a genius, but a genius who hasn’t truly matured is nothing.

Seeing the water column attacking him, Lucci wanted to dodge, but his body suddenly tilted, the muscle on his left leg inexplicably collapsed, and his entire body lost balance.

The same result happened to Kaku nearby, even though he wasn’t in the direction of Tiger’s punch, his body still inexplicably collapsed.

Tiger’s punch combined a variant of Aqua Tail with Fishman Karate, in addition to the water flow, it also contains the unique strike method of Fishman Karate.

Lucci and Kaku both have a large amount of water inside them, attracted by the water flow Tiger launched with his punch, facing Tiger’s skilled strike, they couldn’t mount an effective defense.

At the moment of losing balance, they were swept away by the seawater Tiger had stirred up.

...

In the dim currents, Kaku resisted the pain and exerted all his strength to grasp Lucci before he sank to the bottom, no matter how strong an ability user is, once they fall into the sea, they are helpless, relying only on their companions’ rescue.

Between CP9 official members, there is also a bond. In the original timeline, a group once fundraised for Lucci’s medical expenses through performing arts.

That’s why Kaku would risk this weather to fetch Lucci back.

”Lucci, that Fishman has a problem...”

Pushing Lucci onto the Sea Train’s tracks, Kaku laboriously climbed up too, his body had swelled several times before returning to normal using Life Return to temporarily suppress the injuries inside.

”I know, go to Kalifa’s carriage, these guys are targeting Franky, we mustn’t let them take him away.”

Lucci recalled events from years ago, almost at this exact location, the Sea Train escorting Tom was attacked by the Fishman Race, soon after Tom disappeared without a trace.

Today, it’s the same Sea Train, the same Fishman Race attack, Lucci instinctively linked these events together, confirming his judgment - the design blueprints for the Netherworld King must be with Franky.

He believed those Fishmen rescued Tom most likely for the Netherworld King, and after so many years, perhaps their preparations are complete, only lacking the design blueprints to proceed, so they returned to Water 7 seeking Franky.

Otherwise, it can’t explain the appearance of these Fishmen. Capturing Franky was a temporary operation; it shouldn’t have been exposed no matter how one thinks about it.

”Use Blueno’s ability to move him to a safe place, if not, kill him, the power of Ancient Weapons must not fall into outsiders’ hands.”

Lucci rose intending to head to the rear carriage but was pressed down by a large hand on his shoulder.

”Too bad, you made the wrong choice.”

Tiger’s mindset has evolved, yet he still rarely kills. If Kaku and Lucci leave at this point, he wouldn’t pursue them.

But CP9 are loyal dogs of the World Government, brainwashed from a young age that the World Government is their only ”master.”

Even if the World Government planned to eradicate them, after reverting decisions, they’d still choose to accept recruitment, rejoining CP troops.

Tiger has assessed the strength of the escort team, aside from Lucci and Kaku, others pose no threat. Tom’s not skilled in combat but possesses immense power as a seasoned shipwright, easily lifting a medium-sized pirate ship.

With the aid of Feraligatr, they can complete the rescue mission, so after defeating Lucci and Kaku, Tiger didn’t immediately leave, instead choosing to observe their subsequent actions before deciding.

”Shh!.... Gulu gulu...”

Lucci and Kaku didn’t notice how Tiger approached, and before they could speak, a tsunami arriving with Tiger swept them into the deep sea.

Tiger adopted a strategy similar to Jack’s-the depths.

For the Fishman Race, the deep sea is the optimal battleground, possessing a body capable of breathing underwater gives them a natural advantage.

Seawater flooded their lungs, drowning their voices.

Surf is a skill most Water-type Pokemon can master, the ones unable to learn Surf are few, compared to previous naturally occurring waves, Tiger controlled waves are far more threatening, the strength contained in the tides hits Kaku and Lucci’s bodies entirely.

Simultaneously, Tiger’s Machamp also devastated their bodies.

In the ocean, Lucci lost all resistance force long ago, and Kaku got no chance for a counter.

The Fishman Race physique combined with Palafin’s All-Purpose Form amplification, Tiger decisively and swiftly broke their necks.

Tiger isn’t interested in torturing; even killing won’t prolong the enemy’s suffering.

Seconds later, Tiger resurfaced, carrying Kaku and Lucci’s lifeless bodies, and they were swept away by the forceful tides into unknown waters.

Thus ended the life of Rob Lucci, reputed CP9’s greatest talent in 800 years, in his own mission, harmonizing him eating the version buff’s perks, Awakening mysteriously and diminishing Four Emperors’ prestige.

Meanwhile, Tom and Feraligatr discovered the carriage transporting Franky, but chaos reigned here long ago...
