Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 310: Dream and Reality

“Eh? Little Han, isn’t your room across the hall? Why are you coming into my room?”

Bai Yu asked with some difficulty as I pushed her into the hotel room.

“Didn’t you say you’d help me with my experiment? If we’re not in the same room, how can we experiment?”

I pushed Big Sis Bai right up against the hotel room door.

“Hmm? We can actually touch this door…”

“Mm… and… open it.”

At that moment, Bai Yu also reached out and placed her hand on the doorknob, and with a click, the door opened.

But through my Spirit Vision, I could see that the real door had not been opened.

Only the door in the dream had been opened.

And in the dream, we would selectively ignore the fact that the real door was closed.

How could this be described as anything but magical?

“Hehe We’re in.”

After entering, I immediately closed the door.

Does this count as being in the same room with Big Sis Bai to some extent?

The last time seemed to be right after I arrived at the academy, right?

When Big Sis Bai slept with me.

It’s a pity Big Sis Bai seemed to have run off in the middle of the night.

What a pity.

“Alright Little Han, what exactly are you testing? If you don’t tell me, I can’t cooperate with you, you know?”

“For what I wanted to test, I’ve pretty much gotten the results I wanted.”

I walked past Big Sis Bai, out of the entryway, and to the large bed in the center.

I have to say, the interior facilities of this hotel were worthy of a high-class room.

Many of the decorations were luxurious and ostentatious, but they just didn’t quite match my aesthetic.

It wasn’t even as comfortable as my villa bedroom back at the Witch Academy.

“The dream is the dream, and reality is reality. They are indeed completely separate. The interaction with reality that Big Sis Bai mentioned earlier, like picking things up, is actually still an existence within the dream. It’s just that when we pick up an object generated in the dream that imitates reality, we subconsciously ignore the original object in reality. Our attention is completely focused on the creation within the dream. This effect of ignoring is very obvious. How should I explain it? Big Sis Bai, did you feel like you pushed the door open just now?”

“Yes, I did push the door open,” Bai Yu said with a nod.

“At first, I thought so too. But under the field of Spirit Vision, I can break through this cognitive ignorance. The door in reality didn’t actually move at all. Even if we don’t close the door right now, in the eyes of those in reality, the door is closed, and we just passed straight through it.”

“Is that so…”

Bai Yu was also thoughtful at this moment, and ultimately, she temporarily accepted this explanation as the current truth.

“Since you’ve already discovered this pattern, why did you go through all this trouble to come to my place and ask me to cooperate with you?”

“Because… I still want to try something else.”

At this moment, a smile with a hint of deep meaning appeared on the corners of my mouth, and then I slowly walked towards Big Sis Bai, who was sitting on the corner of the bed.

“Hmm? Try something else? Little Han, you… what are you going to try?”

Bai Yu looked at the Little Han in front of her.

For some reason, she subconsciously felt a sense of panic, especially as this version of Little Han with that expression was getting closer and closer to her, as if some sort of R-rated scene would happen after she got close.

“Of course, it’s… to try… a spell.”

“A spell? Here? Are you sure? What if we…”

“This is the dream, what are you afraid of? Big Sis Bai, even if we tear down the entire Ninglan New City, it won’t affect the normal lives of the people here. Big Sis Bai, do you think… when we use a spellbook in the dream, is the magic power consumed from the dream, or… from reality?”

“The dream, I guess… after all, the spell effect can only be produced in the dream and cannot affect reality.”

Bai Yu also pondered for a moment and stated her thoughts.

“Yes, that’s right. But what constitutes the magic power source in the dream? There must be a reference, a template. Is this template generated idealistically through our consciousness, or does it objectively reflect the information of our real bodies?”

I asked again.

“It should be an objective reflection of reality. If it’s too idealistic, then a simple psychological suggestion spell would be completely invincible in the dream, but that’s impossible.”

“Right. The dream constructs the carrier of our consciousness within the dream by receiving information from reality. Of course, this is my guess, and also what I believe to be the most reasonable guess.”

The so-called ”information,” generally speaking, refers to accessible information that can bring value to oneself in real-time.

This term is given more meaning in the transcendent field.

Unfortunately, this was just a concept I learned about when I was looking for information related to Spirit Vision, and I didn’t go into it in depth.

But information was undoubtedly a very important concept in the transcendent.

Just like right now, the information my Spirit Vision received could be considered information obtained from True Time, it’s just that I couldn’t understand a large amount of it.

But there was one kind of information I could understand, and it was very simple, and that was the direction of the flow of information.

This was a very abstract concept, but Spirit Vision did seem to be able to see it.

This was an ability that was easy to overlook.

It was probably similar to having eye floaters, where you often see strange things in your vision, but after a long time or when your attention shifts, you will subconsciously ignore them.

“The dream imitates reality to construct a world that completely overlaps with reality?”

“Yes, that’s roughly what I mean, but that’s not my main point.”

I nodded and then shook my head.

“The main point I want to make is… the channel through which the dream obtains information from reality. That channel is very important.”

“This… what significance does it have for you, Little Han?”

Bai Yu still couldn’t keep up with my train of thought and asked.

“Big Sis Bai, have you noticed that after we change the dream world, the dream will constantly receive information from reality… and repair it bit by bit?”

I walked to the door and opened it.

“The real door is closed, but I opened it. This change in the dream has created a discrepancy with the information received from the feedback of reality. The dream is slowly repairing this discrepancy. The manifestation is… the door is closing bit by bit, but… this process is very slow.”

“Is that so… then what’s the significance of that? Don’t tell me you want to destroy the entire Ninglan New City and see when the dream repairs it? Wait, a channel, you can see this, are you trying to…”

“Yes. Big Sis Bai, have you noticed that after we use a spellbook, the magic power in the magic power source recovers a bit quickly? That’s because while the magic power source in the dream is recovering on its own, the dream is also receiving information from reality to compensate for this change. This dream… has completely different rules from the dream we reach through a Dream State device. The rules here are more primal, while the Primal Dream State entered through the device is all artificially designed.”

“You… you want to find the connection between us and reality by observing the magic power source, no, not just that, but even ourselves?”

“Yes!”

I nodded and said with a smile.

“Then have you made any progress?”

“Not yet. If Big Sis Bai won’t cooperate with me, how can I make any progress?”

“But, isn’t it more efficient to observe yourself?”

“Observing myself is so inconvenient with Big Sis Bai cooperating with me, wouldn’t it be better.”

At this moment, a smile that seemed triumphant immediately appeared on my face.

I rubbed my hands together like a pervert, my teeth lightly biting my lower lip.

Compared to the slightly helpless Big Sis Bai at this moment, from Bai Yu’s perspective, she suddenly found that this version of Little Han was really cuter than before.

She wanted to…

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Didn’t Big Sis Bai tell me before that this is normal interaction between gal pals Could it be that Big Sis Bai was fooling me before?”

I came to stand in front of Big Sis Bai, my hands resting on her shoulders, my right leg pressed against the bed between her legs.

The slight shaking of the bed made the white rabbits tremble slightly, and I subconsciously swallowed my saliva.

Ah is this the feeling of being proactive?

I wonder what kind of reaction Big Sis Bai will have after being teased by me like this?

I looked at Big Sis Bai with anticipation, my eyes full of smiles.

But the next moment, Bai Yu leaned back.

My hand, which was resting on Big Sis Bai’s shoulder and supporting a lot of my body weight, also caused me to fall forward.

“Eh?”

Then my head plunged into Big Sis Bai’s embrace.

The scene I could see gave my brain only one conscious thought: facial cleanser.

“Little Han, you’ve gotten bolder, haven’t you? Daring to tease your Big Sis Bai like this? But you’re still a bit too green.”

Bai Yu’s voice came, but along with it came a hand that I couldn’t break free from, pressing my head down, burying it firmly…

“I’m sowwy… my bad, my bad…”

“Will you dare to do it again?”

“Not next time, I won’t dare…”

“It’s good that you won’t.”

At this moment, Bai Yu also relaxed her grip a little, not paying attention to the ”next time.”

Perhaps she was also thinking about the next time in her heart?

“Mmph… phew.”

At this moment, I quickly climbed up from the bed.

I didn’t expect Big Sis Bai to be so skilled… I thought Big Sis Bai would only shrink back.

Isn’t she quite good at this… making me take the initiative.

“Th-that, let’s get straight to the point. I have research to do.”

“Research what? You’re not going to research me again, are you, Big Sis Bai?”

I looked at the expression of lingering desire still on Big Sis Bai’s face and was speechless.

If you want it so much, would I resist if you took the initiative?

“Of course, it’s Big Sis Bai’s… magic power source. I still can’t interfere with magic power with my mental power, so I want to start with the magic power source.”

“Alright.”

At this moment, Bai Yu also composed herself, as if nothing had happened.

Then she took out a magic power source from her body and placed it in her hand.

“This is it.”

“Mm, thank you, Big Sis Bai. Can you use some lesser spells to consume the magic power of this magic power source? I need to see it change and what effect it will bring.”

At this moment, I also calmed down.

That was just a small interlude, a condiment.

It was enough to just experience it.

Now was the time for serious business.

After a few deep breaths, I felt my emotions had calmed down.

This feeling was indeed very good.

The feeling of having my emotions under my control was indeed great.

Except for that time, letting emotions control my consciousness did produce pleasure, but that was only a temporary enjoyment, not long-lasting.

Only when I understood what I wanted to do and resolutely executed it would this advanced pleasure bring lasting joy.

Subsequently, I stayed in Big Sis Bai’s room and kept trying various possibilities on the bed, to explore the channel between the dream and reality.

The way the dream obtained information from reality was indeed very mysterious, so much so that I hadn’t made any breakthrough progress so far.

“It seems something is still missing…”

At this moment, my brain was running at high speed.

Similarly, I was constantly using my Spirit Vision, receiving the impact of that information.

At this moment, the effect of the Unity of Knowledge and Action spell was also constantly active, maintaining a high degree of concentration to retrieve the information fed back by Spirit Vision and ignoring useless information.

This was another way of cooperation between the Unity of Knowledge and Action spell and Spirit Vision that I had discovered.

It could indeed raise my utilization of Spirit Vision to a higher level.

“Still no discovery?”

“Mm, it should be said that there is no breakthrough progress.”

I shook my head.

From the information I obtained from Spirit Vision, I learned more useful things, but that information only broadened my cognition.

I couldn’t integrate them into a usable means, nor could I use them to establish any connection with reality.

The occurrence of this situation might be because there was a problem with my method of exploration, or the method was wrong, or I had overlooked something.

It was like I was facing a math problem that I only knew a few ”solutions” to.

I read through the entire problem statement repeatedly and had a deeper understanding of the problem, but I found that I still couldn’t start writing, because I hadn’t found the real breakthrough point.

At this moment, I withdrew all my previous thoughts.

Since this path was not working, then I needed to organize everything I had and start over.

The best way to start over was to re-examine myself, and not let my previous thoughts interfere with my current thoughts.

“Then… Little Han, do you plan to give up?”

“Give up? It’s not time yet. The word ‘give up’ is for when I hit a wall, know the pain, and understand that I was wrong. Big Sis Bai, don’t you be the one to back down behind me, okay?”

“I’m sorry, Little Han, I just saw that you were really…”

“If Big Sis Bai is very free, you can try to construct spells directly here without a spellbook. This is conducive to understanding the essence of spells and your own use of runes. If there are any runes you don’t know, you can look them up in my Technique Bookshelf. I will cooperate with you.”

“This… will it be too much trouble for you?”

“Big Sis Bai, look at what you’re saying. The Memory Bookshelf spellbook was a gift from you! How could I find you troublesome, Big Sis Bai? Aren’t we mutually promoting and helping each other?”

“That’s true…”

Bai Yu also nodded at this moment.

She couldn’t just watch as Little Han was making progress while she was standing still.

“That’s right.”

I released the Memory Bookshelf spellbook and displayed all the bookshelves in front of me.

“These books are the memories related to runes. I may have read them too quickly, so some of the recording methods may not be easy to understand. Just read them a few more times.”

“Mm, thank you, Little Han?”

“You still have to say thank you to me? Big Sis Bai, I can’t repay the help you’ve given me even if I say thank you a countless number of times.”

After saying that, I once again devoted myself to organizing my own thoughts.

Then I cast a spell, Illusory Clone.

It was an illusory clone subconsciously controlled by me.

It was a good way to look at the real me, to help me jump out of my current thinking… another me.

“It’s really… been a long time.”

“I find that we are becoming more and more alike. But now doesn’t seem to be the time to think about this problem. Did we encounter a problem?”

The illusory clone spoke on its own at this moment.

I didn’t interrupt, just listened quietly.

“What? You’re not talking? I am you. Even if we don’t need to communicate, at least say something. Are you expecting me to give you some answer? How is that possible? If you can’t think of it, how can I think of it?”

“Alright… then do you have any constructive suggestions?”

I sighed and finally spoke.

“Mmm… none either… but…”

“But? But what?”

“Why don’t you go and ask the magical Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell?”
