The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Not Losing Out After All

The scene before her eyes completely overturned Sang Xuewei’s seventeen years of understanding. She remained in a dumbfounded posture, seemingly at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, Xia Wenjin glared fiercely at Huangfu Jingchen, only to see him looking pleadingly at her, his face slightly red, the flush extending to his ears.

She understood.

Huangfu Jingchen was using her as a shield.

He simply wanted Sang Xuewei to give up.

But damn it, she was actually taken advantage of!

Huangfu Jingchen’s heart was pounding, almost leaping out of his chest. He had no idea which impulse had driven him to suddenly do that. When he felt Xia Wenjin’s soft lips, his mind went blank, accompanied by sparkling fireworks that gave him a tingling sensation all over, a feeling that was novel, unique, and intoxicating.

He nearly wanted to go further, but the shock and anger in Xia Wenjin’s eyes stopped him from daring to. Moreover, he immediately realized that Xia Wenjin was a man, a man!

At this moment, despite the accelerating heartbeat and lingering physical numbness from their brief contact, he was more worried about Xia Wenjin being angry.

However, having done this, explaining in front of Sang Xuewei would be futile, so he pulled Xia Wenjin’s hand and headed towards the meditation room.

Sang Xuewei was still in a daze and forgot to stop them.

Xia Wenjin was equally confused and was involuntarily dragged quite far away by him.

Once they were out of Sang Xuewei’s sight, Xia Wenjin finally regained her senses from the chaos and blankness, fiercely shook off Huangfu Jingchen’s hand, and wiped her lips forcefully.

Huangfu Jingchen’s gaze was somewhat flustered and helpless, and he said softly, ”I’m sorry!”

Xia Wenjin angrily said, ”Huang Zheng, I considered you a brother, yet you took advantage of me? Don’t you know I’m a man?”

”I... I know!”

”Then how could you... do that!”

Huangfu Jingchen’s gaze fell on her face, where anger caused a mix of shame and fury, eyes sharp and piercing. Huangfu Jingchen’s face was also red, hurriedly stepped back, folded his hands in a bow, and deeply apologized, ”I’m sorry, Wenjin, I, I, I didn’t mean anything else. I just wanted Sang Xuewei to back off! I... I couldn’t find anyone else to help, so I had a sudden idea to use this drastic measure! I... I will compensate you!”

Looking at his anxious and incoherent state, recalling the situation earlier, Xia Wenjin felt even more frustrated.

Facing a giant like the Xianglong Sword Sect and dealing with Sang Xuewei’s entanglement, claiming he liked men indeed was a drastic measure, and she happened to be beside him, it’s understandable that he used her as a shield.

Already taken advantage of, what can be done?

But taking this loss feels so unreasonable, she couldn’t swallow it.

Xia Wenjin worked hard to calm her breathing, suddenly smiled gracefully, turned her head, and said affectionately, ”Actually, it’s not that serious. You know, I also like men!” With that, she stepped closer to Huangfu Jingchen.

Huangfu Jingchen’s pupils shrank, scared him into retreating two or three steps, hitting the wall as he backed away. Xia Wenjin never hid her being Long Yang. Given the current situation, to avoid Sang Xuewei’s entanglement, he actively provoked Xia Wenjin, who was Long Yang!

Xia Wenjin stepped forward again, grinning, ”Brother Zheng, since we kissed, why not marry me?”

Huangfu Jingchen’s face was flushed; he was a man, isn’t ”marry” a term for women?

Embarrassed, he stammered, ”Y-you... Wenjin, you’re speaking nonsense, I-I’ve already... already explained...”

Xia Wenjin stepped closer again, her voice cheerful, eyebrows joyfully raised, originally picturesque features now carrying a layer of ethereal brilliance that one dared not look directly at, yet reluctant to look away, especially her slightly raised brow, exuding pride amidst elegance, preserving a casual grace. What made Huangfu Jingchen most uneasy was her eyes, just so cheerfully gazing at him, seemingly absorbing his whole being into her whirlpool, making escape impossible.

She chuckled lightly, ”Can this situation be explained? Having provoked me, how can you not take responsibility?”

Previously seeing her angry, Huangfu Jingchen felt a sense of dread, yet now facing her smiling and gradually advancing, his inner panic intensified, stuttering involuntarily, ”How-how-how... bear-bear responsibility?”

Xia Wenjin laughed, ”Didn’t I say? Marry me!”

”I-I-I-I’m a man!”

”What does that matter?” Xia Wenjin laughed more joyously, her eyebrows curved, inching closer.

Huangfu Jingchen hastily retreated again, but he had already reached the wall, unable to retreat further, his entire body pressed against the wall, and not only was his face red, his ears were red, even his neck turned red. Brainstorming, he stuttered, ”No-no-no... it-it-it... does matter!”

Xia Wenjin moved closer still, one hand propping on the wall, though she was a head shorter than Huangfu Jingchen, her aura was strong. Surprisingly, this scenario didn’t seem off-putting.

Closer and closer Xia Wenjin got, nearing Huangfu Jingchen’s nose until beads of sweat appeared. He wanted to escape, avoiding touching Xia Wenjin’s body, making him even more troubled, especially the increasingly close elegant fragrance reaching his nose, unclear whether it’s Xia Wenjin’s attire scent or her body scent, rendering his mind blanker, nearly sliding down the wall.

Seeing Xia Wenjin seemingly unwilling to let him go, anxiety struck him, blurting out, ”How about you-you-you... kiss back!”

Those words seemed to hit Xia Wenjin’s acupuncture point, causing her to pause suddenly.

Even when she approached closely earlier, forcing Huangfu Jingchen into a corner with no escape, there was still more than a foot of space between them. However, her imposing demeanor gave a psychological pressure increasingly overwhelming, pushing Huangfu Jingchen’s emotions to the brink.

Lowering her head, Xia Wenjin looked at Huangfu Jingchen who gazed up at her pitifully, eyes filled with pleading for sympathy and a resolve to take responsibility like facing death unflinchingly.

She burst into laughter, stepped back, eyes filled with mischievousness and teasing, ”In-your-dreams! Aren’t you just getting away with everything!”

Huangfu Jingchen’s face flushed.

But what does it mean he’s getting away with it?

He’s not Long Yang, Xia Wenjin is, the one taken advantage of is him.

Yet, he didn’t dare retort, couldn’t rebut, after all, he was the one who provoked.

Xia Wenjin side-eyed him with a gaze full of threat, ”Consider this a warning, dare to do it again and I’ll ensure it’s unforgettable for life!”

This little brat got away with it once; at least he mistook her for a man, she won’t bother with him, but next time?

After saying that, Xia Wenjin, filled with murderous aura, turned and went back to the meditation room.
