The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Merely a Prince

The four men were shocked and hurriedly shouted, ”Second Young Master, spare us, spare us!”

They were following the orders of the Second Young Master to ensure Prince Liang could not leave. They were simply doing their duty, so why did the Second Young Master want their lives?

Huangfu Yuxuan’s gaze was devoid of warmth, and he did not spare a second look at these four servants, as insignificant as ants. He coldly said, ”For provoking Father King’s fury, your deaths are not regrettable!”

The servants were dragged away, and shortly after, the courtyard echoed with the sounds of blows striking flesh and screams. Then, only the sound of the blows remained, the screams diminishing until they were no longer heard.

After a while, a servant reported back, ”Reporting to Second Young Master, the four are all dead!”

Throughout the entire process, Huangfu Yuxuan stood there quietly, hands clasped behind his back, exuding an aura of cold ruthlessness.

Prince Liang initially laughed, then his expression showed some confusion and anxiety, and finally, upon hearing the report that the four were dead, a twitch involuntarily crossed his face.

Huangfu Yuxuan waved his hand and said, ”Dismiss!”

The servants all withdrew.

Back when it was the Crown Prince Mansion, the servants there were already afraid of this Second Young Master. Now, as part of the Prince Liang Mansion, it seemed the Second Young Master had grown even more terrifying. His decisive and ruthless demeanor, his bloodthirsty aura, and his sinister gaze made them feel as if they were in the Palace of Darkness.

Huangfu Yuxuan stepped forward.

Startled, Prince Liang instinctively took a step back and said, ”Xuan’er, you... what are you doing?” His voice carried a hint of tension and a trace of fear.

Huangfu Yuxuan’s face remained expressionless, his cold gaze sweeping over Prince Liang, causing him to be terrified. He always felt that this son had the eyes of an eagle and the demeanor of a wolf, as if he wanted to devour anyone he looked at, which was extremely frightening. Therefore, he did not particularly like him.

Of course, perhaps it was the aversion of a father who lacked ambition and skill towards a son who was too ambitious.

Huangfu Yuxuan said indifferently, ”Father King’s mood is quite good, even at this time, he still has the heart to pick fights with some servants!”

Prince Liang was somewhat embarrassed and angry, though Huangfu Yuxuan’s gaze made him a bit flustered. However, he was still the father, once a Crown Prince, and that feeling of superiority remained. His eyes widened as he said, ”Even you are going to interfere with me?”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s face darkened: ”I do not wish to meddle in Father King’s affairs. However, Father King did not heed my advice; now, not only has he lost the position of Crown Prince, but he also knows not when to restrain himself. Does he want to lose the position of Prince Liang as well?”

”Hu Shuo, no matter how incompetent this palace is, it is still the prince, the Eldest Prince! Father Emperor would not treat me like this!”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s gaze towards Prince Liang grew even colder. Foolish and arrogant, it was truly a wonder someone like this could live to such an age. His voice, as if containing ice shards, coldly warned, ”You’d better behave, do not assume being Prince Liang is anything special, do not assume being the Eldest Prince is anything special. If something does happen, the first to die would be the Eldest Prince!”

These words were cold and merciless, with an undercurrent of killing intent. Prince Liang stammered, ”This palace... this palace...”

”Moreover, the two words ’this palace’, do not use them again. As a mere prince, what right do you have to call yourself ’this palace’? Are you afraid you haven’t given others enough leverage, so you want to hand one over to them?”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s merciless words once again made the Crown Prince flush with anger. He erupted, ”If it weren’t for that scoundrel Huangfu Hanyu setting me up, would I have ended up like this? What more does he want from me? Does he want to kill me?”

Huangfu Yuxuan furrowed his brows and sternly shouted, ”Enough!” In his eyes, a cold killing intent flashed: ”Do you think the death of a Prince Liang would cause an upheaval? If you continue to make trouble, no one can save you. If you want to live, remain imprisoned at the mansion, go nowhere, and invite no disasters!”

With that, he did not look at Prince Liang again, turning and leaving with large strides.

The slender figure disappeared from view for a long while, leaving the Crown Prince entirely silent.

Though sometimes foolish and reckless, he grew up in the palace, witnessing countless plots and intrigues, gaining some insights. Huangfu Yuxuan’s words struck him like a thunderbolt, leaving him standing in a daze for a long time before collapsing onto the ground, holding his face as tears slipped through the folds of his fatty fingers.

He was no longer the Crown Prince, no longer the exalted and revered Crown Prince surrounded by attendants.

Even if Prince Zhuang used vile means and scheming methods to topple him from that position, the harsh reality remained that he was no longer the Crown Prince.

He hated, he hated Prince Zhuang, hated that woman, hated her brother. If it weren’t for those despicable commoners, if not for the scheming Prince Zhuang, how could he have fallen to this state?

When Huangfu Yuxuan left the Crown Prince Mansion, his gaze was particularly cold, his entire being exuding a murderous aura.

Fei Liang followed beside him, not daring to utter a word.

It was only after Huangfu Yuxuan boarded the carriage, with the curtain separating that intimidating figure, that he could finally breathe. The expression of the Second Young Master today was truly terrifying.

Inside the carriage, Huangfu Yuxuan clenched his fist.

Father King was unworthy, bloated with greed, set up by others, his position as Crown Prince falling away, reduced to Prince Liang, imprisoned in the capital. This was not what angered him most; what angered him most was that foolish Father King, even at such a time, did not realize how precarious, how complicated, how perilous the situation was now!

He was investigating who had set his father up. If only Father King were smarter, stayed honestly in the mansion reflecting, never going out, acting discreetly, if he found out the truth, reversing fortune might not be impossible. But even if he discovered the truth, could a father like this bear it?

Eastern Palace.

It had been more than half a month since moving into the palace, and the new Crown Prince, Huangfu Hanyu, was still suppressing a restrained excitement.

The satisfaction of fulfilling his long-held wish leapt within him, but he was no longer an impulsive youth in his twenties; he knew the importance of restraint, of concealment.

Gazing at the chairs and tables, the plants and trees, the palaces and halls of the Eastern Palace, his eyes shone brightly.

The aura of the original Crown Prince had been completely erased; this place was all his. Once he ascended to the supreme position, this would belong to his son, his grandson, his descendants. From now on, the lineage of Huangfu Hanyu would rule over Nanxia!

The only concern was probably the variable as mentioned by Mr. Gongyang.

However, his men were efficient; they had already located this variable. He had dispatched four of his best Hidden Guards, specializing in assassination.

Sending four Hidden Guards to deal with a pampered noble young master was a sure victory.

Once this concern was eliminated, what would he have to fear?

It seemed there was still one more.

At this thought, the Crown Prince’s eyes narrowed.
