Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3076: Chapter 3085: Olivia Lewis’s Calm Response

Upon a closer look, she noticed there was an earring stud on her shoulder, directly embedded in the gunshot wound.

It turned out that when Olivia Lewis realized something was wrong, she quickly removed the diamond earring from her ear and, with her back to the surveillance camera, stabbed it into the gunshot wound. Then, she deliberately feigned unconsciousness from the aphrodisiac to trick the people outside. She maintained her alertness by relying on the constant pain from her shoulder.

After pulling out the earring stud, she didn’t waste any time and used some tissues to cover the wound on her shoulder, quickly looking for an escape plan.

The exit was definitely not an option.

Olivia set her sights on the window.

Unfortunately, she found security bars outside all the windows. Even if she managed to open a window, there was no way she could escape through it. Just when she was at a loss, with the pain in her shoulder almost unable to resist the effects of the aphrodisiac, she suddenly noticed the small window above the bathroom had no security bars.

Olivia’s eyes lit up; she quickly moved a chair from the room to the bathroom, stepped on it, and confirmed her observation.

The bathroom window, possibly because it’s on a lower floor, wasn’t large, and it was in an upper position, so it wasn’t fitted with security bars.

With that size, a man definitely couldn’t fit through. But a thinner woman, by squeezing a bit, could barely make it.

This period of time, she had been forced into a devilish diet by her manager to look good on camera for filming, keeping her weight at the best weight for a female star — under a hundred pounds. With her physique, she should be able to squeeze through.

The biggest problem facing her now was that this was the second floor. There’s no staircase below to climb down; without taking safety measures, she might end up half-crippled even if she doesn’t die.

Olivia paced anxiously in the room, brainstorming.

The other party expended so much effort to lure her here, undoubtedly not just to knock her out in the room; there must be an even bigger plot awaiting her. If she doesn’t get out soon, when the others arrive, she wouldn’t be able to leave!

Olivia was both anxious and dizzy. Just when she was sweating heavily and was about to bite the bullet and climb out, she suddenly remembered a scene from her previous filming.

In ”Assassin’s Chronicles,” the character she played was once hunted down by the secret police. At the time, she was trapped in an inn. The entrance was filled with secret police looking for her, so to escape, she tore the bedsheets into strips and successfully escaped through the back door of the inn with them.

”Bedsheets, bedsheets...”

Olivia immediately went to the bedroom to find bedsheets.

Thank goodness this was a suite and not some office space; otherwise, she’d be done for today.

Office spaces don’t have bathrooms or bedsheets.

Thankfully...

Olivia hastened her pace, tied the torn bedsheet and the quilt together, then fastened one end of the improvised rope to the bathroom door and the other end securely around her waist. With a fearless spirit, she stepped onto the chair, took a deep breath, and opened the window, flipping herself out...

Outside the bathroom, there were only smooth walls with no foothold. Olivia, betting her life, squeezed out from the small window and let herself drop along the wall.

Her arm was painfully rubbed by the wall, but there was no other option. She had to grit her teeth and try to use the minimal friction she created to slow down her fall — to prevent the improvised rope made from bedsheets and a quilt from breaking under her weight, turning her escape into a genuine plunge...
