Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3056: Chapter 3065: Your Husband Has This Authority

She prefers movies that are acknowledged and liked by the audience, because after all, movies are made for everyone to watch, and the ones that everyone likes are the good movies.

That’s why she has never been interested in those artistic films that deliberately use large-scale gimmicks, nor in the intentionally tragic roles within them.

Roles she’s not interested in are usually not well-acted, so she naturally won’t take them.

Another thing is, although filming is fake, sometimes the scale of the shoot is real.

She’s already quite the eye candy, and taking some not-so-good roles would make certain directors and investors more inclined to misunderstand her character.

She doesn’t want to attract those annoying bees to herself.

Sunny thinks the same way, so she usually declines any roles for her that go beyond kissing scenes. Even so, she still earned the title of Queen of Acting with ”Assassin’s Chronicles.”

Nicole Oliver has always resented her for this, probably because she can’t believe Olivia managed to win a significant award without having filmed those movies that can’t make it to theaters.

And she stubbornly believes that Olivia managed to win the award because someone helped her pull strings.

Ahem, there is indeed some truth to that.

Actually, the reason Olivia won that award was indeed partly because one of the senior judges had some interest in her, hinted at it several times, but she played dumb and avoided them. That senior judge probably thought they weren’t sincere enough, so they helped her pull a lot of strings, suppressing the then-popular candidate, who also had connections to win the award, Nicole Oliver, allowing her to get that award.

After the celebration party, that senior judge approached her again, but bumped into someone; Adam Sinclair was exposed at that time, and people in the circle knew she had a powerful backer. That backer was no small fry — Adam Sinclair, the executive president of Sinclair International...

Adam knew she was saying these things to irk him deliberately, also aware that her principles would never allow her to take such roles, yet he couldn’t help but be angered by her, once again gripping her wrist tightly, his Peach Blossom Eyes sharp and domineering, ”I won’t allow you to take these roles! Today was an exception, but in the future, I’ll have Sunny send all your scripts to me first. Any scripts with more than hand-holding scenes, you won’t take!”

Olivia Lewis sat up abruptly, her voice cold, ”President Sinclair, you don’t seem to have that authority, do you? My studio is just nominally under Sinclair Corporation, I have my own choice. Neither the company nor you have the right to dictate which movies I accept.”

She wouldn’t take those roles, but she wouldn’t help fuel his arrogance either.

”The president of Sinclair International doesn’t have the authority to decide which roles you take, but your husband does!” Adam Sinclair pressed his thin lips tightly, showing no intention of compromise on this matter.

Olivia’s face twitched twice, her beautiful eyes also tinged with anger, ”My husband does have that authority, but I’ve already been considering a divorce!”

As soon as the word ’divorce’ was mentioned, the air almost froze!

”What did you say?” The man’s voice seeped with coldness, as if his heart had a hole, where the wind could blow through, hollow and frigid.

In the dark, his breath became erratic again, releasing her hand, standing up from the sofa, pacing irritably, and then pulling out a cigarette.

Olivia saw the dark light of the lighter flickering, vaguely seeing him lose his usual calm demeanor, lighting the cigarette and taking a drag.
