Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2970: Chapter 2979: Miss Anderson Went Out

Benjamin Sinclair still wanted to say something, but he had already bluntly hung up the phone and put his cellphone back into his pocket.

Half an hour later, Adam Sinclair was the first to return to the Crystal Cove Bay Villa.

The servant Auntie Merry saw him and immediately welcomed him in with joy, surrounding him with concern, ”Young Master, you’ve returned? Are you tired? Will you be dining at home tonight? I’ll go buy groceries now. Oh, wait. Young Master, sit on the sofa and rest for a while, I’ll make you some Big Red Robe Tea.”

Adam sat on the sofa, and facing the old servant who had watched him grow up, the corner of his mouth revealed a genuine smile, calling out to stop her in a hurry, ”Auntie Merry, you don’t need to worry about me, I won’t be having dinner here tonight.”

The old servant showed evident disappointment on her face, ”Young Master, you won’t be staying tonight? Oh, Young Master, you haven’t been here in so long, finally you’re back, and not even staying for a meal?”

Facing the look of disappointment on her face, Adam wanted to promise to stay, but thinking of his stubborn father, he could only forcefully swallow back his words, ”Next time, next time I’ll tell you in advance that I’m coming back. Let’s forget about today; I have plans this evening.”

Auntie Merry was disappointed but adjusted her mood quickly, rushing towards the kitchen, ”Alright, I’ll make some tea for Young Master.”

She was swift, and soon she was out with a tray. She placed a pot of fragrant red tea on the table in front of Adam, took out the matching teapot and cup, and poured Adam a cup, ”Young Master, try this; Madam bought it, and the flavor is very pure.”

”Hmm.” Adam picked up the cup and took a sip.

The top-grade black tea tasted rich and mellow, sweet and fragrant without the astringency that some teas have. It was indeed top-tier Earl Grey Tea.

He put down the cup, his smile warm, ”Nice, it’s very good.”

”Right?” Auntie Merry chuckled with a smile, ”By the way, Young Master, would you like some fruit? I’ll make a fruit platter for you.”

This time Adam quickly stopped the busy person, ”No need, Auntie Merry.”

He glanced around the villa and suddenly asked, ”Auntie Merry, is there no one home today? Isn’t there a guest staying here?”

Why hadn’t he seen Renee Anderson around?

”Guest?” Auntie Merry suddenly realized, ”Oh, Young Master you mean Miss Anderson. Miss Anderson went out, just half an hour before Young Master returned. I offered to have the family driver take her, but she refused.”

Adam frowned, his eyes darkened slightly.

He didn’t think Renee was the type to leave so easily, Austin Harper had just contacted her, and she went out. Where did she go?

He couldn’t help but think again about that curious ’something’ he had heard on the bugging device, breathing became unnaturally heavy.

Feeling uneasy, he stood up, grabbing his stuff, intending to go see Olivia Lewis first.

At that moment, the sound of a car braking suddenly came from the entrance, Benjamin Sinclair had returned—

”Director Sinclair.” Auntie Merry immediately bowed with her eyes darting away, stepping aside.

Benjamin stormed into the room, yanking off his tie at his collar, his imposing square face glancing at Adam, and asked, ”You wanted me to come back, just what do you want to show me? Don’t tell me it has to do with that star, I canceled an important meeting to come back, not to see that star!”

Returning home in a rage, he seemed to bear a grudge against Adam.
