Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2962: Chapter 2971: So There Was Another Plan All Along

As soon as Austin Harper left, a bodyguard in black furrowed his brow in confusion and couldn’t help but ask, ”President Sinclair, are we just going to let him go so easily?”

He thought for sure that this time President Sinclair would relentlessly force that man to confess everything to explain to Ms. Lewis.

Adam Sinclair returned to his previous position and sat down, crossing his long legs. His entire being exuded an aura of strategic charm. He addressed one of the muscular bodyguards, ”Did you do what I asked?”

”It’s done, President Sinclair.” A tall and robust man took out a radio-like device from his jacket pocket and handed it to him. ”I’ve already hidden a bug in both his pants and shirt pockets. This is the radio equipment.”

Adam took it, switched it on, and, sure enough, heard the crackling of static and the hurried sound of footsteps from inside.

Soon, the other side seemed to pick up a phone and call for a car. Adam quietly listened to Austin’s voice coming from the radio-like device. From the sounds, he gauged when Austin got in the car and what he did first. When he heard Austin calling someone to find out what exactly happened between him and Renee Anderson at the bar that day, he decisively gestured with his hand and instructed, ”Send him what he’s looking for, let him find out as soon as possible!”

”Yes, President Sinclair.” The black bodyguard swiftly went out to carry out the task.

Adam tapped his fingers on the table, waiting for the fish to take the bait.

Renee Anderson wanted to play tricks with him? No problem, he’ll play along!

He went to great lengths today to catch someone, but just to force Austin to confess everything under duress. He knows clearly that Austin is physically strong but simple-minded. Austin surely knows nothing. Moreover, Austin is completely brainwashed by Renee; no matter what he does, for someone this naive, he would never betray the woman he likes. Even if he half-killed the man and extracted a confession, Renee could still claim he was coerced into making a false confession, slandering her.

Austin might also turn around and deny his words later.

Therefore, he chose another method — first, he went to great lengths to bring the man here, beat him without a word, then let Austin think he was being forced for a confession. After that, throw out the evidence, play psychological tactics, and let Austin go proactively to Renee. Then, using the bug previously planted on him, obtain firsthand evidence.

By then, there would be no way for those two to deny it!

Of course, this plan isn’t perfect. For instance, he can’t be sure if, after releasing him, Austin would indeed go confront Renee.

If he doesn’t go seek her out.

Then he’ll just have to change the method, have the people tracking him bring him back, and reuse the first method, even if he has to beat him to death, to make him reveal his relationship with Renee!

But for now, it seems his choice to attack psychologically was correct. Austin is indeed suspicious of Renee’s unborn child. A man, especially one like Austin, would certainly seek the other party for confrontation once he gets the ’investigation results’ he ordered someone to obtain.

After all, it’s true affection that would lead to losing control, driven by an urgent need to get a definite answer from the other party! And all he needs to do is sit here waiting for Austin and Renee to deliver the evidence into his hand and then take this evidence to Benjamin Sinclair, so Benjamin Sinclair can wake up!

His patience was long exhausted, and since Renee kept ignoring his warnings repeatedly, this time, he won’t let them off easily!
