Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2958: Chapter 2967: Helping the Woman He Slept With Make Another Man Take Responsibility

Adam Sinclair’s left cheek muscle twitched and bulged, as if he was desperately holding back some emotion. His gaze darkened as he swept over the person on the ground, found a place to sit, and directly ordered the big guys behind him, ”Lift him up and wake him up!”

”Yes, President Sinclair!” Two muscular bodyguards came in, one lifted the unconscious Austin Harper from the ground like a sack of rotten mud, and the other found a bucket of ice water prepared beforehand in the corner, mercilessly pouring it over Austin Harper’s head—

It was right at the time of the season’s change from summer to autumn, and the weather was starting to cool. Anyone getting drenched with a bucket of ice water like that, as long as they’re not dead, would feel a chill to the bone!

Sure enough, the previously unconscious man let out a scream and opened his eyes.

He hadn’t yet figured out his situation when he heard someone order, ”Give Young Master Harper a good reception first!”

”Yes!”

The two muscular bodyguards lifted the man soaked from head to toe like a little chick against the wall, each delivering a solid punch to his stomach.

Both of them were around six feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds each, muscular bodyguards. A punch from either one was tough for a grown man to handle, let alone two punches landed simultaneously on such a vulnerable spot as the stomach.

”Ah—” Adam Sinclair heard a scream, and the man immediately spat out a mouthful of blood and began struggling frantically.

But the two muscular bodyguards, one on each side, each pinned a shoulder, and he couldn’t break free from their grip.

All he could do was yell and struggle, ”Adam Sinclair, ugh, what do you mean by this!”

”Adam Sinclair, damn it, if you’ve got the guts, let me go, let’s have a one-on-one! Ah—”

”What kind of hero kidnaps someone!”

”Ah!”

The muscular bodyguards didn’t care what he was saying, they just kept hitting! After a beating of punches and kicks, Austin Harper could barely speak from the pain.

A front tooth got knocked out, and he was left miserably on the ground. In immense pain, he could hardly get up. But he still managed to push himself up from the ground, face bruised and swollen, glaring with hatred at Adam Sinclair, who sat there the entire time watching like it was a show. He spat out a mixture of blood and saliva, angrily low-roared, ”What do you want, do you really think beating me up will get me on your side? Dream on!”

”Unless you take responsibility like a man for Sister Renee, I won’t acknowledge you as a friend! Even if you beat me to death, that’s still my stance!”

”Heh.” Adam Sinclair stood up from his chair, walked up to him, his aristocratic peach blossom eyes exuding condescending disdain, suddenly speaking, ”I didn’t know Young Master Harper was so devoted, even standing up for a woman he slept with by making others take responsibility. Responsible for what?”

Austin Harper’s expression shifted from anger to shock in an instant, stumbling two steps back, and burst out incredulously, ”How do you know?”

Only after speaking did he realize he was tricked into revealing, his already bruised and swollen face flushed red, an alternating shade of red and pale as he immediately explained, ”Sister Renee isn’t the type of person you think she is.”

Adam Sinclair sneered dismissively at him, as if looking at a clown, ”Oh, what kind of person is she? Does she still seem pure and unattainable in your heart? But too bad, not in mine!”

”Do you have to speak so harshly?” Austin Harper heard him tarnish his goddess, immediately cooling his expression to defend her.

Adam Sinclair completely disregarded him, his thin lips pressed into a line, and straightforwardly asked him, ”When did you and Renee sleep together, and did you use any contraception?”
