Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1696: Chapter 1686: Enna Clark Can Speak Fluent English

So despite Baron Lawrence’s reluctance, he still pressed his lips lightly, ”I don’t mind.”

With his words, the lady took Enna Clark’s hand and walked away.

This banquet was originally organized to welcome his arrival. As soon as Enna left, a portly man in a suit immediately took two glasses of wine from the waiter, handed one to Baron Lawrence, and initiated the evening’s theme, ”Young Master Lawrence, I heard that the Lawrence Family is planning to collaborate with Rhine on an oil project. On my end...”

...

Enna Clark was led into the lavish hall by the lady; she had learned social etiquette in the Habsden Family.

But after all, she rarely attended such occasions.

Although she wasn’t stage-fearing, she was not accustomed to it either.

Clearly, the banquet was in the lady’s sphere; she soon took Enna around and introduced her to many people.

Enna Clark appeared composed and gentle; she was originally a lady of the Habsden Family. Even without Baron Lawrence, her status was established there.

Naturally, with Baron Lawrence backing her, there were even more people eager to flatter her.

The brand director the lady mentioned was a blonde woman in her early forties. However, both in makeup and attire, she exuded a queenly aura, clean and decisive.

When the lady brought Enna Clark over to greet her, her sapphire eyes discreetly scanned Enna from head to toe. Upon seeing Enna’s almost bare makeup, a hint of disapproval seemed to flash in her eyes. However, she didn’t show it and greeted Enna in fluent English.

Enna Clarke had stayed in the Habsden Family for more than a year, specializing in upper-class matters. So she knew that the brand director of Panda was its female heir, and most of Panda’s matters now went through her hands. It could be said that she was the true boss.

In the entertainment industry, she’s hailed as the Fashion Devil, and many stars try every means to get in touch with her.

Enna Clark thought of Olivia Lewis.

Before she could speak, the lady beside her became nervous.

She hosted the banquet and naturally knew of Ms. Habsden’s intricate background. It was heard that Ms. Habsden dropped out of school at 18, and as an illegitimate daughter, lived poorly before the Duke of Habsden found her. She wasn’t sure if she spoke English. If the Habsden heiress’s English wasn’t good, today would be awkward.

Unaware of her concern, Enna Clark confidently extended her hand to Panda’s director and greeted her in fluent English. She also chatted about her understanding of the Panda brand and some small anecdotes about it.

Enna’s English was forced out during her solo years with Bobby abroad at 18. Living in a purely foreign environment for five years, her pronunciation lacked the usual awkwardness of domestic people, fluent and authentic.

Although not as good as Baron Lawrence’s, it was still considered excellent.

As soon as her fluent English came out, the lady next to her immediately refreshed her impression of her.

The brand director, surprised that Enna knew those brand anecdotes, found a soft hue in her sapphire eyes, looked at Enna with much more friendliness, and shook Enna’s extended hand to chat with her.

In less than half an hour, Panda’s director had exchanged private phone numbers with Enna Clark, acting like she regretted not meeting her earlier.
