Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1657: Chapter 1647: At Least Give Me a Chance to Spend Time Together

“I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.” The man leaning against the wall straightened up, walked up to her, and his imposing height made him look down on her.

But unlike Baron Lawrence’s domineering aura, August Oliver’s height exuded a boyfriend’s strength.

He didn’t have that sharp and overbearing aura that Baron had.

However, Olivia Lewis didn’t care at all about what kind of imposing height he had; she had almost forgotten everything that happened yesterday after a night’s sleep.

Now blocked at the hotel entrance by August Oliver, she recalled his shocking confession from yesterday.

Damn!

She suddenly felt at a loss for where to place her hands and feet, awkwardly squeezing out a smile and said, “Well, what are you waiting for me for?”

After reading his Instagram yesterday, she replied with a text message, rejecting him.

After that, August Oliver didn’t send her any more messages.

She thought it was because she had hurt the young man’s pride, and that he decided not to care about her anymore.

But looking at today’s situation, it didn’t seem like that at all.

“I read the text you sent me yesterday.” August Oliver’s pupils were dark, a brilliant shade of black, extremely beautiful, especially when he was focused on looking at someone, his eyes seemed to see only that person.

Particularly focused!

It was the first time Olivia Lewis had been persistently pursued by a young actor like this; people in the industry usually knew that Adam Sinclair was her benefactor.

Generally, men didn’t dare come near her, afraid of displeasing Adam Sinclair and affecting their future.

Occasionally, one or two male actors who hadn’t heard the rumor tried to get close, often wanting to use her to gain publicity. She would slap them away immediately, with no need for Adam to intervene.

But someone like August Oliver, who seriously wanted to confess and express his liking, was the first in her 30-plus years.

Moreover, August Oliver wasn’t a sleazy investor or an actor with ulterior motives wanting to use her for publicity.

Even if she was slow, she could feel August Oliver’s sincerity.

He was serious.

And he was purely confessing his feelings to her.

This made Olivia Lewis very uncomfortable.

No matter what she did, she felt like she was being the bad guy, bullying the boy’s pure feelings.

Emma!

Heartbreaking!

She thought it over and over and could only play dumb, “Ah…”

After saying that, she felt her response was too dry, and also too silly.

August Oliver’s beautiful lips curved slightly, then he suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her outside, “Come with me.”

Olivia Lewis was stunned by his unexpected reaction, quickly coming to her senses and about to struggle.

Then she saw August Oliver suddenly turn his head and say, “Didn’t your text yesterday say we weren’t suitable for each other? Without spending time together, how do you know we’re not suitable? At least, give me a chance to spend time with you. Otherwise, I don’t accept your rejection.”

Even if they were unsuitable, he wouldn’t accept her rejection.

He had made it very clear when he confessed.

He liked her and didn’t accept rejection!

But, he knew how to persuade her not to resist going with him.

Sure enough.

Olivia Lewis frowned, hesitated, and said, “I have a shoot this afternoon.”

“I know. I asked the director for a two-hour leave for you. I’ll take you back by five in the afternoon.”

He actually acted first and reported later!

Olivia Lewis was speechless, wanting to say something to him, but once she met August Oliver’s dark, focused eyes, the words stuck in her throat like a fishbone, she couldn’t say anything. After a moment, she compromised, “Just to be clear, I can only stay until five in the afternoon. After that, I’ll go back by myself, you don’t need to take me.”

August Oliver smiled, readily agreeing, “Okay.”
