Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1676: Chapter 1666: Secretly Setting Up Adam Sinclair

To be honest, compared to the young master’s previous girlfriends, she really likes Ms. Lewis a bit more.

Ms. Lewis isn’t that fake.

Everything about her is genuine.

Although she’s not a rich young lady, it’s comfortable to be around her.

It’s a pity the young master broke up with Ms. Lewis for some reason. She thought she would never see Ms. Lewis again, but unexpectedly, the young master brought her again.

It’s just… the timing isn’t good.

Auntie Merry suppressed her excitement and was about to remind Adam when Madam arrived.

The people inside heard the noise outside and came out first.

“Auntie Merry, who is it? Is Adam back?”

The moment she stepped out, the noble lady first saw Olivia Lewis. She didn’t know what she thought of, but her brows furrowed deeply.

“It’s you? What are you doing here?”

Olivia didn’t expect Adam’s mom to be there. She hadn’t answered yet.

A tall figure already blocked in front of her, cutting off the noble lady’s vision. Adam’s handsome face showed helplessness and gloom as he spoke, “Mom, why are you here?”

“I came to see you.”

The noble lady was obviously concerned about Olivia, who was behind Adam. She frowned again and, despite Adam, didn’t forget to ask, “Ms. Lewis, why are you here?”

Olivia had already recovered from her initial surprise. She stood up, stepped out from behind Adam, and faced Madam’s sharp gaze directly, saying, “Ah, it’s like this. I’m currently acting in a movie that Young Master Sinclair invested in.”

The noble lady waited for her to continue.

Olivia looked a bit embarrassed, hesitated, then said, “You know, after we met last time, we agreed… um… right? So, I came today to talk to Young Master Sinclair about withdrawing from the movie.”

The noble lady recalled the event when Gigi called her “Mom,” and her expression immediately turned bitter, as if she’d swallowed a fly.

However, after hearing Olivia’s words, although the first part made her feel uncomfortable, the latter part relaxed her frown.

“I had a bit of a dispute with Young Master Sinclair over liquidated damages. Young Master Sinclair only had time to discuss it during meals, so I came.”

She reasonably explained why the secretary was still holding groceries.

The noble lady’s expression completely softened, and her gaze became less sharp. She directly said, “Ms. Lewis, since you’re too busy to find time, forget about the liquidated damages. If you don’t want to act, then don’t. Next time, there might still be an opportunity to work together.”

Olivia was waiting for these words. She smiled, looking at the man’s stormy face, and calmly said, “Thank you, Young Master Sinclair.”

“I won’t disturb you any longer. I’ll be leaving now.”

She left swiftly, not needing anyone to show her out.

Adam’s head throbbed from anger at her earlier words, desperately restraining himself from grabbing her to punish her.

But he did grip his fists tightly and, casting a shuddering glance at the bewildered secretary beside him, instructed, “Escort her back.”

The secretary immediately said, “Yes, President Sinclair.”

He handed the groceries to Auntie Merry and politely said to Olivia, “Ms. Lewis, let’s go.”

“Thank you.” Considering Adam lived in a villa area, there was no way she would decline the secretary’s escort.

In this area, it would take an hour to reach the main road, let alone hail a taxi. She didn’t plan to be stuck walking until dark.
