Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1668: Chapter 1658: How Much You Like Someone

Anna noticed that Olivia Lewis was a bit angry, but she didn’t regret it. She knew August Oliver better than anyone else, and she also knew August’s feelings for Olivia.

Even though her current behavior made her feel like a meddlesome busybody, she still had to do it, “You don’t know how much August likes you. He genuinely likes you, not the kind of liking that’s just a joke in the entertainment industry.”

“You should have received the bracelet he gave you, right? He definitely didn’t tell you anything about it.”

Olivia furrowed her brow and looked at her.

Anna took a deep breath and said, “That bracelet, he earned it by working hard. At that time, he had just entered University, and the first thing he did was go to the construction site to work. He attended classes during the day and moved bricks at the construction site to do labor work come evening. Because he was a temporary worker, the foreman gave him all the dirty and tiring tasks. He could only earn 12 dollars a day. To make sure he got the bracelet before it sold out, he sneaked out of the dorm at night and went to my brother’s place to sing. During that period, his hands and lips were full of blisters. In the end, he managed to get the bracelet.”

Olivia had never thought that the bracelet August had forcibly given her had so many stories behind it.

She suddenly felt an indescribable emotion.

“Moreover, he entered the entertainment industry because of you. You know his personality; he is not suited for the entertainment industry at all. He doesn’t like being chased by the spotlight every day or being surrounded by girls. He put so much effort into entering the entertainment industry and shining brightly just to get your attention.”

“This time, when your movie needed a promotional song, his company was against him taking it, but he insisted on defying the company’s orders and took it. To free up his schedule, he broke a magazine shoot contract and offended their Editor-in-Chief. He has done so much for you, more than I even know. But just with what I do know, it’s clear that he genuinely likes you. He likes you so much that even though Annan and the others don’t know who he likes, they know there’s always someone sacred and inviolable in his heart.”

Anna bit her lower lip, feeling very uncomfortable, but she still said, “So I’m saying that if you’re just playing around and not serious, please let him go.”

“He sincerely likes you, and I don’t want to see him collapse after experiencing heartbreak.”

…

Olivia didn’t know how she walked out of the kitchen, her mind was a bit absent.

Until Annan patted her on the shoulder and asked with a grin, “Sister-in-law, what’s wrong? I’ve called you multiple times, and you didn’t hear me.”

“Ah, what is it?” Olivia snapped back to reality after his pat.

Annan didn’t seem to notice her change in expression and cheerfully pushed her shoulder, seating her in the middle of the bar. He said, “Sister-in-law, the boss said he wants to sing a song for you.”

“It’s a very nice song, but don’t just look at the boss; you have to watch me play the drums too. I’m much cooler than the boss.”

He really never missed a chance to steal August Oliver’s fans.

But Olivia knew he was joking.

“Anyway, remember, sister-in-law, always look at how cool I am.”

With that, he dashed up to the stage.

Everyone on stage was adjusting their instruments.

Their serious demeanor was in stark contrast to their earlier jovial behavior.

“OK.”

“Boss, I’m ready.”

“Ready here too.”

August suddenly looked in her direction, his dark eyes sparkling like stars, as if he could see only her—

“Olivia Lewis, this song is written for you.”
