Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1669: Chapter 1659: August Oliver, I’m Serious

He’s singing “Heart Rate”.

Baron Lawrence has sung this song before, but their vocal tones are different, so the feelings conveyed are completely different.

August Oliver has a husky voice, giving a hoarse and deep sensation that resonates deeply.

Olivia Lewis listened absentmindedly, her mind constantly recalling what Anna had said to her.

This song was August Oliver’s first, and it was with this song that August and his band rose to fame.

Was this song written for himself?

Olivia previously believed he was serious, but only in his earnest confession. She didn’t think his feelings would be so heavy, even though she hadn’t done anything, she felt a sense of guilt now.

The song finished.

She looked at her watch and suddenly stood up, saying, “It’s almost time, I have to get back to the set.”

“Sis, are you leaving so soon? Didn’t Boss ask the Director for leave for you?” Annan put down his drumsticks and asked curiously.

Olivia glanced at the rebellious man and quickly said, “I still want to be on set on time.”

Annan quickly glanced at her, then at August Oliver, and said thoughtfully, “Oh… let Boss take you to the set then.”

Olivia had previously agreed not to let him take her, but she changed her mind.

She paused for just a second before looking at the rebellious man and said, “August Oliver, can you take me there?”

The man seemed to sense something, first frowning slightly, then pursing his lips a bit.

But he still picked up the clothes that were casually thrown aside, walked up to her, and said coolly, “Let’s go.”

“Mm.” Olivia, having something on her mind, turned and greeted a few people, then walked out with him.

He took the car keys from Nick and drove Nick’s car.

After getting in the car, Olivia was silent the whole way. Only after mentally preparing herself did she say, “August, um, I spent time with you today. And after that, I still think we’re not suitable. Sorry.”

She really wasn’t planning on dating right now, at least not in the short term.

As for the future, she couldn’t guarantee it either.

Besides, she didn’t feel like dating August Oliver. First, they weren’t familiar with each other; second, August was younger than her.

August’s sudden and aggressive pursuit left her a bit flustered, not knowing how to explain it to him, which is why she foolishly agreed to come out today.

Anna was right, when it comes to feelings, if you can’t give the other person what they want, you shouldn’t be ambiguous.

Although she wasn’t so shameless as to string August along, some things needed to be clarified as soon as possible.

The driver seemed to anticipate what she was going to say and asked calmly, “Did Anna say something to you?”

Why doesn’t he follow the usual script?

Olivia frowned and said again, “No, I just genuinely feel that we are not suitable together.”

“I think we are.”

August didn’t show any sign of being rejected.

Stubbornly looking at her, he said, “Being together is a matter of two people, you only have half the say. You think we’re not suitable, I think we are. So you don’t have the veto power.”

“…” Nonsense!

She almost blurted out.

But remembering what Anna had said, the words got stuck in her throat, making her headache worse.

Damn, this is the first time a man has given her such a headache.

And a man much younger than her.

The car had already reached the entrance of the set, and August thoughtfully didn’t drive inside. He opened the car door for her and said, “Go ahead and shoot. I’ll go back and write a song for you. Don’t worry, I’ll write a perfect theme song for your movie.”

“August, I’m serious.”

“So am I.”

Facing those dark eyes, Olivia admitted defeat.

She opened the car door, got out, and decided silently in her heart to keep her distance from him in the future; that would be best for him.
