Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1672: Chapter 1662: You Personally Compensated Me for My Mental Damages

Adam Sinclair, dressed in a tailored suit that added a touch of maturity to his previously elegant air, listened to Olivia Lewis’s words without even batting an eyelid, then calmly said, “Fine, then pay the liquidated damages as per the contract.”

“How much? I’ll pay.”

“15 million.”

“…” Why doesn’t he just go rob a bank!

Probably because her stare was too intense, Adam leisurely added, “The contract states it’s three times the original fee, so to be precise, you owe me 19.5 million. I’m giving you a friendly discount at 15 million. If you want to quit, you need to pay at least 15 million in liquidated damages. After all, I invested in this film, but I have shareholders watching.”

Bullshit!

Since when do the shareholders influence Young Master Sinclair’s decisions?

Olivia knew he was doing this on purpose but had to swallow her fury, gritting her teeth, “15 million it is! I’ll pay you!”

Adam seemed to anticipate her reaction, casting a deep and unreadable gaze her way, “You don’t have that much money. Half of your assets are in the bank account you gave to my mom. With that, you might barely scrape together enough. But without it, you can’t afford the payment.”

“Then give it back to me!” Olivia gritted her teeth, extending her hand.

Adam ignored her outstretched hand, “No. You said yourself it was compensation for the breakup, for my mental damages. Technically, I don’t have to return it.”

“Do you really have mental damages? Besides, I agreed on 750 thousand, not 7.5 million,” Olivia retorted angrily.

He had already gone through several girlfriends; if there were any mental damages, he should be compensating her!

To her surprise, Adam replied with utter conviction, “I do.”

“7.5 million is already less. If necessary, I will have my lawyer retain the right to pursue this further.”

“…”

Olivia was about to explode with rage.

She knew he was doing this on purpose, but she was still so angry that she could hardly breathe.

Taking several deep breaths to calm herself, she bit her lip, then looked up at the handsome and elegant man in front of her, “I’ll get you the money, even if I have to borrow it. I’m not acting in this movie.”

She wasn’t going to act.

Even if it meant having nothing, she wouldn’t let anyone measure her by money anymore.

It seemed like in their eyes, she was just a cheap item in a store, manipulated with every mention of money. One slap was enough; she didn’t want a second or third.

A tree lives for its bark, a person for their breath.

15 million it is, she decided!

“At the latest by the end of the month, at the earliest next week, I will contact the producer to terminate the contract. I won’t contest whatever procedures need to be followed.”

She had nothing to fear.

She still had Enna and Bobby. If the company wouldn’t lend her the money, she could borrow some from Enna first.

She would leverage her fame from these few years to earn enough to pay Enna back.

Having made up her mind, Olivia felt much lighter. Her bitten lips still hurt a bit, but she didn’t linger and prepared to leave as soon as she finished speaking.

She hadn’t even lifted her foot when her left wrist was forcefully grabbed!

What greeted her was a stormy, passionate kiss, far less gentle than before, filled with anger and desperation to intertwine with her.

“Mmm…”

Olivia flared up as well, using both hands and feet to push and kick.

But Adam was like an immovable mountain, not loosening his grip at all. In the depths of his dark eyes, it seemed like two flames were burning, finally breaking through the icy facade and blazing uncontrollably—
