Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1612: Chapter 1612: I’ve Been Thinking About It for a Long Time

The car had just arrived at the City Center when Skye Lawrence stood up and said, “Stop the car.”

“But…” The driver hesitated, not daring to stop without Oscar’s command.

Skye Lawrence also knew this, turned her head, and looked at the man directly opposite her. She said nothing, but the restrained anger in her beautiful eyes was still apparent.

Oscar, under her gaze, opened his mouth gentlemanly, “Stop the car.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

The Lexus screeched to a halt by the roadside.

The car hadn’t even stopped completely when the noble and spirited woman had already opened the door and jumped out steadily. She turned back, looked at the man in the car, and said with restrained calmness, “I’ve made the choice you asked for. I hope you won’t play any more tricks, as you promised. Otherwise…”

“Don’t worry, I will do what I promised you.”

Skye Lawrence didn’t even want to look at him for another second. Having gotten the promise, she turned and walked away. Her tall and beautiful figure quickly disappeared from sight.

The people in the Lexus watched silently until she was completely out of sight, their eyes shifting, hiding a focus that others couldn’t understand.

The driver had been listening to their conversation all the way, and only after she had walked far away did he find it hard to hold back. “Young Master, are you really going to marry Ms. Skye? Madam probably… won’t agree.”

“I’ll make her agree.”

“The subsidiaries of the Lawrence Corporation…” The driver started and then stopped.

He really couldn’t understand why the Young Master would propose a marriage alliance to Ms. Skye, and the cost was to give up five subsidiaries of the Lawrence Corporation that were almost in his grasp.

Even he could see that this deal was not worth it.

Wasn’t the Young Master always unwilling to suffer losses? Why would he proactively propose such a losing deal?

Oscar’s eyes lowered, his lashes hiding part of his gaze, also concealing the true emotions in his eyes. “Since I’ve promised, I won’t go back on my word. Besides, what do you think Skye Lawrence is? She’s not someone without the power to retaliate. She’s like a beautiful viper, not only calm but also vengeful. If I deceive her in this matter, believe me, she would make sure I suffer, even if it means mutual destruction.”

The driver was even more confused. “Then why, Young Master, do you still…”

“Still want to force her to marry me, right?” Oscar seemed to see through his thoughts, curling his lips into a slight smile. “Because I want to raise a snake. From one day, I’ve always had this idea, and later, this idea grew stronger and stronger. It’s just a pity that I never found the opportunity. Now, the opportunity is right in front of me. Even if it’s worth a billion, I want to try raising a beautiful snake!”

The driver understood he was making a metaphor, but he couldn’t comprehend this metaphor.

Since a certain day?

Did the Young Master know Ms. Skye from before?

And from long, long ago, did the Young Master want to marry Ms. Skye?

Is that what he meant?

The driver really wanted to ask, but his intuition told him that asking would not do any good.

He quietly closed his mouth, thought for a moment, and worriedly said, “Young Master, Madam will not agree, you…”

“Don’t worry, she will agree.”

“With Madam’s character, the possibility of her agreeing…” is too small.

Not to mention, apart from agreeing to the marriage alliance, they also had to make Madam accept abandoning the plan to acquire the five subsidiaries of the Lawrence Corporation.

“I have my own plan.” Oscar spoke calmly and unhurriedly, seeming not to want to dwell on the issue any longer, “Drive back, let’s go home.”
