Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 609: Chapter 609: I Won’t Like You!

“I…” Chi Enen finally got through to his phone, only to hear a cold, emotionless male voice on the other end. She suddenly choked up, unsure of what to say.

In the past, Li Beijue had his moments of anger with an unpleasant tone, but it had never been like now, imparting such a sense of distance.

It was as if he were a stranger to her.

She took several deep breaths, quickly adjusting her emotions, trying to make her voice sound normal, “I woke up and didn’t see you, so I wanted to give you a call to ask if you’ll be back by noon. If so, Baby Chi and I will wait for you to have lunch together. If not, we’ll just fend for ourselves.”

“I’m very busy.”

“I…”

...

Before Chi Enen could finish, she was shocked to find that the line had gone dead.

Li Beijue had hung up on her!

She looked toward the hotel entrance where the Lincoln was parked, her spirits plummeting…

…

In the Presidential Suite.

After Li Beijue hung up the phone, he felt extremely irritable. His face was as cold as ice, and he clenched his mobile phone so tightly it was fortunate that his phone was custom-made with outstanding quality, otherwise he might have crushed it!

The temperature in the room started to drop from the moment he ended the call and in the blink of an eye, it had hit rock bottom.

Even someone as obtuse as Kim Zhixuan could sense his extremely bad mood and couldn’t help but ask, “Who was that on the phone just now?”

She was merely curious.

But the man with a cold face glanced at her and replied curtly, “It’s none of your business!”

It was clearly an attitude of keeping someone at a thousand-mile distance.

This was the first time Kim Zhixuan had been treated this way by a blind date. Her cunning eyes blinked, not getting angry yet joking in return, “How would you know it’s none of my business without telling me? What if it is related to me? It might have been a woman’s phone call, which would make her my love rival.”

Her joking would usually lighten the mood for most people.

Li Beijue’s eyebrows furrowed, his sculpted features like a blade’s edge, handsome and cold, his gaze particularly unfriendly as he looked at her, “Didn’t Kim Zhiyuan tell you about my situation?”

“What situation?”

Seeing his expression turn colder, Zhixuan shrugged her shoulders, “Ah, are you talking about the situation where you have a girlfriend?”

She casually opened the refrigerator, took out a bottle of Evian Water, unscrewed the cap, and took a sip. Then she slumped casually onto the sofa, propping her chin with her hand and crossing her long, beautiful legs, seating herself on the sofa with an air of natural beauty, “I know you have a girlfriend. That doesn’t affect our blind date though. Feelings develop slowly over time, and I think you’ll like me eventually.”

“I won’t.” Li Beijue didn’t pause for even a second, decisive, “I’m not interested in you, nor in your family! Either we have an exchange of equal value like Kim Zhiyuan, or you pose conditions and I will do my best to meet them, as long as you cooperate with me.”

“Any conditions?” Kim Zhixuan blinked.

Li Beijue, already at the brink of his patience, stood sideways, his silhouette as sharp as a blade’s edge, “Yes, any.”

“So, if I wanted you to carry me to Ordos Mountain to watch the stars, that would be possible too?”

Li Beijue’s falcon-like eyes suddenly darkened, a hint of ruthlessness flashing through, “…Are you playing with me?” Ordos Mountain was in Country W, and besides, he would not carry any woman other than Chi Enen!
