Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 600: Chapter 600: The Ruined Baby Chi!

Chi Enen immediately raised both hands in surrender, “I’ll go check if there’s any flour in the kitchen, if not, I’ll call room service to send some up.”

She went to look in the kitchen.

Indeed, as she had expected, the refrigerator in the kitchen of the Presidential Suite was stocked with high-end ingredients, but there were neither noodles nor tomatoes – though there were eggs. However, you can’t make tomato egg noodles with just eggs.

She used the hotel’s internal line to call the hotel room service, and soon enough, customer service had delivered the noodles and tomatoes. They even thoughtfully inquired if she needed the big chef’s on-site service.

She had already figured out that Baby Chi was throwing a little tantrum tonight and would likely insist on eating the noodles she made. She didn’t bother to ask the little guy, to avoid him getting anxious, and declined the customer service’s kind offer. She took the noodles and tomatoes back to the kitchen herself.

“Baby Chi, wait for a bit, I’ll call you when it’s ready.”

...

Only Baby Chi and Li Beijue were left in the living room.

The two of them stared at each other, big eyes meeting small ones.

Li Beijue, with an expressionless face, placed him on the edge of the sofa, turned on the television, and switched to Boonie Bears.

Big Bear and Second Bear were yelling on the television.

Baby Chi was still dwelling on the grievance of being left alone in the restaurant to eat his dinner. He didn’t want to talk even to The Neighbor Old Wang, watching Boonie Bears for the first time with the same respect and focus as if he were attending a class, glued to the television.

Li Beijue didn’t initiate conversation, but he didn’t retreat to the study either. He sat next to him, his eyebrows knitted together, and joined him in watching Boonie Bears.

When Chi Enen finished making the tomato egg noodles and came out, she saw a large and a small figure sitting on the sofa with stern faces, watching Boonie Bears. The corners of her mouth involuntarily curled up, and she placed the bowl on the table before calling out, “Baby Chi, it’s time to eat.”

“Oh.” Baby Chi was engrossed in the show and reluctantly moved his eyes away. He stood up from the sofa and headed to the restaurant.

He didn’t need Chi Enen’s help and climbed onto the chair by himself, picking up the chopsticks.

The noodles had just come out of the pot and were steaming hot.

Chi Enen reminded him, “It’s very hot, eat slowly.”

“Mmm…”

He must have been really hungry as he devoured the large bowl of noodles in no time. Only when his stomach turned round and full did he pat it contentedly and tell Chi Enen, “Woman, tonight I want to sleep with you.”

“No way.”

Before Chi Enen could reply, a forceful voice had already intervened – if not Li Beijue, then who?

Baby Chi had already made up his mind to sleep with his woman tonight, puffed out his little belly defiantly, “I want to sleep together.”

His eyes craftily shifted, and before Li Beijue could speak, he preempted him, “How about this, I’ll give you a brain teaser. If you can answer it, I won’t sleep with Chi Enen. If you can’t answer it, then I’ll sleep with Chi Enen. How’s that?”

The words “How’s that” were practically a challenge.

Li Beijue’s falcon-like eyes narrowed. Before he even agreed, Baby Chi had already started posing the question in his childlike voice, “One evening, you are walking alone on a road and come across a single-log bridge. Just as you reach the middle of the bridge, you see a wolf standing at the other end staring at you. You decide to run back, but, frighteningly, you realize that a ghost is already following you onto the bridge. At that moment, you pull out the bow behind you, notch the arrow, and are just about to shoot when you remember you have only one arrow. So, this arrow—do you shoot the wolf, or the ghost?”
