Alchemy Master

Chapter 124, Wang Muyu of the Wang Family

Zhou Tianwei’s words were filled with helplessness.

“Don’t worry, I will give it my all.” Qin Yichen’s face was full of solemnity.

Back then, he had also put in a lot of effort to obtain that spot. It was truly laughable that the biggest competitors for the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty’s Alchemy Masters were actually Alchemy Masters from other dynasties. Moreover, it was Alchemy Masters who could not even get a spot in their own dynasties!

This shows how weak the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty, which had been living in peace without war, had become. If not for the fact that the Heavenly Unicorn Royal Family was a branch of the Millennial Lu Family, the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty would not have had a foothold.

Of course, the main reason was that the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty’s territory was too barren, without any mineral resources, so it became an undisputed land… However, years later, they would realise how terribly wrong they were.

Because although the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty had no mineral resources, it was rich in Withered Frost Grass!

It could be said that in the entire Northern Region, all other places combined did not have as much Withered Frost Grass as the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty.

However, in this era, Withered Frost Grass was really just grass. This was what Qin Yichen found most amusing.

As they talked, the Heavenly Unicorn Square gradually came into view, and Qin Yichen’s gaze swept over it.

At this time, fully armed soldiers were stationed outside the square.

For such a competition, which gathered countless Alchemy Masters from various major Forces, they were the kingdom’s most precious resources, so the Royal Family naturally took full protective measures.

At the entrance of the square, there were inspection personnel from the Royal City Alchemy Guild. Only those representing various Alchemy Guild branches and those who had registered for the competition could enter from here.

As for the audience seats, there was a separate entrance.

Under Zhou Tianwei’s guidance, Qin Yichen entered the square without any hindrance. After passing through an entrance passage, Zhou Tianwei directly led Qin Yichen to the VIP seats on a high platform.

Standing in the VIP seats, the huge square fully came into Qin Yichen’s view.

This circular square had tens of thousands of seats on both sides, which were presumably the audience seats. Opposite the audience seats were some more lavishly decorated VIP seats.

Scanning the vast square, Qin Yichen found that in the centre of the square, over a thousand blue stone platforms were neatly distributed.

These were presumably the places for the participants.

At this time in the blue stone platforms area of the square, there were already many participating Alchemy Masters. They were quietly sitting cross-legged on the blue stone platforms, waiting for the competition to begin.

As time passed, more and more Alchemy Masters entered and found their positions according to the number plates they had received.

By morning, the Alchemy Competition slowly began under the attention of thousands.

*Dong!…* With the clear sound of a bell ringing across the square, the originally uproarious noise quietly subsided.

On the tall main platform, Master Gu Ye slowly stood up. His gaze swept over the tens of thousands of spectators and participants below. At this moment, tens of thousands of gazes filled with awe were directed towards this top Alchemy Grandmaster of the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty.

“As the Guildmaster of the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty’s Royal City Alchemy Guild, I declare that the Alchemy Competition has finally begun!”

“Whoa!…”

As Master Gu Ye’s words fell, a deafening applause and cheers erupted from the vast venue.

“Now, all participants, please take your seats.”

Although the square was now so boiling hot that even the bell sound was hard to hear, Master Gu Ye’s voice clearly sounded in everyone’s ears.

“I’m going.” Qin Yichen said goodbye to Zhou Tianwei beside him and stood up.

“You’re stationed there.” Zhou Tianwei pointed to the middle of the square.

There were five blue stone platforms there. These platforms were not only much more spacious than the others, but their foundations also seemed to be higher than the rest.

Such a conspicuous special position would obviously make the person standing on it the focus of the entire venue.

This treatment was prepared for the most excellent young Alchemy Masters of the dynasty, and Qin Yichen’s position there was clearly specially arranged by Master Gu Ye.

“There?” Qin Yichen raised his eyebrows, then a faint smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

Since he wanted to make a name for himself, that position suited him well.

After all, with the Princess’s Husband Selection day approaching, if he did not establish a reputation, what qualifications would he have to compete with the people from the Four Major Families for the Princess!?

When Qin Yichen walked to the middle blue stone platform, he found that people were already standing on the other four blue stone platforms. From the Spiritual Energy fluctuations emanating from those standing on the four blue stone platforms, they were all not weak. From the Alchemy Master Medals on their chests, it could be seen that three were First Grade Alchemy Masters, and one was a Second Grade Alchemy Master.

[Impressive strength, They truly deserved to stand on this high platform and be in the spotlight.]

“Eh?…” Soon, upon seeing Qin Yichen ascend the only remaining middle blue stone platform, the surrounding Alchemy Masters all revealed surprised, even astonished looks.

Because they could clearly see the Medal worn on Qin Yichen’s chest.

It did not even have a grade!

An ordinary Alchemy Master?!

“How can a mere ordinary Alchemy Master stand up there!?”

Many Alchemy Masters who had reached First Grade strength shouted out in discontent.

An ordinary Alchemy Master did not even have the qualifications to participate in the competition, yet he ascended the highest stage that symbolised the greatest status amongst all contestants.

“Hey, kid, did you get the wrong position?” Hearing the widespread murmurs, the Second Grade Alchemy Master standing on the stone platform to Qin Yichen’s left asked in a rather peculiar tone.

To his questioning, Qin Yichen just glanced at him briefly, then withdrew his gaze. Next, he closed his eyes to rest, showing no intention of responding to him.

“You!…” The Second Grade Alchemy Master’s face immediately turned unpleasant. Let alone his status, who would dare to slight him with his strength and influence!?

“Heavens, Wang Muyu of the Wang Family was actually ignored by him?”

“*Siiii…* This guy is really arrogant!”

“I wonder what background he has to dare to ignore someone from the Wang Family…”

On these central blue stone platforms, their every move was closely watched. Seeing their actions, many people started whispering.

Wang Muyu was not only from the Wang Family, one of the Four Major Families in the Royal City, but also a genuine Second Grade Alchemy Master. If not for Zhou Tianwei always being a step ahead of him, he would very likely have taken Zhou Tianwei’s place! As a result, Wang Muyu was often dissatisfied, wondering why Master Gu Ye only took Zhou Tianwei as his personal disciple and had ignored him.

His participation in this competition was more to challenge Zhou Tianwei, but unexpectedly, Zhou Tianwei did not participate, and Zhou Tianwei’s position was taken by this ordinary Alchemy Master.
