Alchemy Master

Chapter 107, Young Master Zhou Joins In

Translator: Silavin

The Third Uncle of the Shu Family could hardly believe his ears. They had practically escaped from death!

“Thank you, Young Master Qin, thank you, Young Master Qin, I promise I will never offend you again.” The Third Uncle of the Shu Family no longer felt any pain from losing his property, but instead was so excited he almost wanted to jump up.

Money can be slowly gathered, but life, he only had this single one.

*Phew…* The Shu Family members, after sneaking a few glances at Zhou Tianwei and seeing that she had no intention of objecting, all quietly breathed sighs of relief.

Meanwhile, their gazes towards Qin Yichen were full of reverence. [Who on Earth was this person, to make Young Master Zhou treat him like this? This treatment, there aren’t many in the entire Royal City who could receive it.]

“That, um, you’re Shu Xin’s Eldest Uncle, right?” However, before the Eldest Uncle of the Shu Family could catch his breath, Qin Yichen’s words made his heart jump again.

“Your Son, he scared me badly with that sneak attack that day. I’m a magnanimous person who doesn’t hold grudges against small people, so I won’t make things difficult for you…” Qin Yichen casually pointed at the Third Uncle’s portion of the property, drawing the number two in front of his eyes.

*Thud!* The Eldest Uncle fell to the ground in response, lying there wishing he could faint from this. This was simply a nightmare!

After all, his Son was not only internally injured by this guy, but also had several ribs broken by his kick. Yet, in the end, he actually had to compensate the culprit… He really wanted to cry!

“Hehe…” On the side, seeing this scene, Shu Xin’s eyes curved into crescents, her smile widening to reveal her cute little canine teeth.

Seeing these relatives, who usually looked down on the two Sisters, in such a state gave her an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. Unlike Shu Ruyan, she directly displayed her emotions on her face.

At this time, what Qin Yichen did was even more to her liking. He was now directly opening his mouth to ask for things. This was simply… blatant robbery!

However, it seemed that earlier, this group of people had also asked her Sister for things in the same way. So, she did not feel any guilt for their plight, none at all. If she was not worried about what her Sister would say, she would have wanted to participate in this herself.

The Shu Family people naturally dared not short-change them. Qin Yichen and Shu Xin returned to Zhou Tianwei’s carriage.

“Brother Qin, would you honour me with your presence at my residence for a chat?” In the carriage, Zhou Tianwei asked with a smile on her face to Qin Yichen sitting opposite of her.

People like the Eldest Uncle and Third Uncle of the Shu Family did not count for anything in her eyes. Most importantly, she had done nothing, yet had made this young man, whose talent was even more outstanding than her own, owe her a favour.

This kind of thing, she was obviously very willing to do.

“Another day perhaps, I really don’t have time today.” For this kind of invitation that others would beg for, Qin Yichen callously refused. Seeing this, Shu Xin beside him wanted to pinch his neck.

[Does this bastard have any idea what great opportunity he had just given up!? That was an invitation from Zhou Tianwei!]

However, she could not change anything. Words spoken were like water spilled, unable to take back.

“But, I’m planning to do a little business. I wonder if Brother Zhou would be interested in joining…” Qin Yichen directly ignored her, instead speaking to Zhou Tianwei with deep meaning.

“No…” Zhou Tianwei was about to refuse without even thinking, but the word was caught in her throat. She stared at Qin Yichen for a moment before saying, “Let’s see what you have to say.”

“Nothing much for now, just thinking of selling some new medicine.” Thinking of the several carriages of medicinal herbs that Shu Ruyan had purchased, Qin Yichen had an idea.

In this world, what makes the most money? Without a doubt, it was Pills!

Medicinal herbs were worth about ten silver coins, even if made into Medicinal Liquid, it could earn several times over. Higher Grade Medicinal Liquid would earn even more.

All Alchemy Masters are hidden tycoons! This was also why, regardless of which Family it was, everyone would try their best to cultivate their own Alchemy Masters.

As long as a Family has a powerful Alchemy Master, that Family has the hope of rising up.

Qin Yichen was not inviting Zhou Tianwei to join in order to have her refine Pills, but to use her ‘Young Master of the Zhou Family’ title to intimidate some petty characters. After all, a profitable business was very likely to attract envious eyes.

“I can give you 10% of the profits!” Qin Yichen seemed to have made a big decision, holding up one finger in front of her, making the shape of ‘one’.

“Huh?” Zhou Tianwei disdainfully sneered.

“Don’t underestimate this 10%. I guarantee you’ll have at least ten thousand silver coins coming in every month. Of course, you can also choose to just take ten thousand silver coins every month, and I’ll take back the 10% profit…”

“I want the 10%!” Zhou Tianwei interrupted him. Looking at the young man in front of her who seemed to be regretting his words, she became increasingly curious.

Because even the Zhou Family’s Medicine Shop only made about twenty to thirty thousand silver coins a month, and that was because of her reputation.

Yet, this guy said that 10% of the profits would be more than ten thousand silver coins. Does that not mean this business’ monthly net profit would reach over a hundred thousand silver coins!?

As far as she knew, the Medicine Shops of the four Major Families added together were only about this amount.

“Ah, what a loss, what a loss…” Qin Yichen cried out in pain.

Shu Xin was completely confused, seeming not to understand what they were talking about.

*Phew…* On the way to the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, Qin Yichen comfortably closed his eyes.

With Zhou Tianwei’s name, plus the Pills he could refine, it would be hard not to make money. However, there was one thing he was still worried about… What if the other three Major Families in the Royal City became envious? Relying on just the Zhou Family alone seemed completely insufficient to suppress the ambitions of the other three Families.

Qin Yichen rubbed his chin, thinking… [Should I make a trip to the Royal Palace and get my convenient Father-in-law to join in!? This would ensure foolproof security. But, my beloved Father-in-law is not someone I can see whenever I want…. What about Master Gu Ye? Although that old fellow seemed very aloof, as if not partaking in worldly affairs, I have plenty of cards up my sleeve to attract him. After all, for a person obsessed with the Dao of Alchemy, what attracted him would naturally be formulas, better formulas, techniques, and better techniques!]

…

Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.

Shu Ruyan had been anxiously waiting, not even daring to sit down.

“Young Mistress…” Uncle Wen beside her, seeing her furrowed brows, felt very distressed, “Why don’t we just leave the Royal City?”

As long as Shu Ruyan could not harden her heart, those so-called relatives of hers would never stop. They had already taken the goods from the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce for granted, even treating it as their own property.

*Haaaaa…* Shu Ruyan finally let out a light sigh, her pretty face revealing a trace of desolation, her heart like dead ashes, “Uncle Wen, go pack up. When Xin’er returns, we’ll leave…”

“Big Sister!” Before she could finish speaking, Shu Xin’s call came from the doorway.
