Alchemy Master

Chapter 106, Apologising

Translator: Silavin

At this moment, even though the Shu Family members knew that Zhou Tianwei’s carriage was coming towards them, they could not muster even a bit of courage to flee.

If they had offended the Du Family or the Wang Family, perhaps there might still be a chance of survival if they escaped from the Royal City. However, offending Zhou Tianwei was different. Zhou Tianwei was almost certainly the strongest contender for the position of Guildmaster of the Royal City Alchemy Guild. With just a word, how many people would be at Zhou Tianwei’s command!?

Escape? Where could they possibly escape to?

The Third Uncle of the Shu Family now had a deathly pale face. He seemed to recall the expression on that young man’s face when he had smiled and said he would send the goods to him. He realised that smile was meant for him, a jumping clown!!

At this point, the Third Uncle of the Shu Family really wanted to slap himself hard. [Why did I have to be greedy for these goods, why did he have to forcibly take this hot potato…]

“It’s impossible, how could he possibly know Young Master Zhou!? He clearly didn’t even know where the Zhou Family was!” Panicked to a certain degree, the Third Uncle of the Shu Family began to regret, and even more so, he was afraid. In the end, he could only pray. Pray that Zhou Tianwei was not coming for him!

However, his prayers seemed to have no effect at all. The carriage pulled by the two Green Wolves came closer and closer. Finally, with the sound of wheels, the carriage steadily stopped not far from the gate of the Shu Family Residence.

*Click…* As soon as the carriage stopped, the door was suddenly opened, and a voice full of grief and indignation came from inside the carriage, “It’s this batch of goods, Brother Zhou! Look! They’ve all been moved into their house!”

As the words fell, Qin Yichen’s figure was the first to walk out of the carriage. He looked at the goods that had almost been emptied, his finger trembling as he pointed at the group of Shu Family members, his expression appearing extremely aggrieved.

Under the terrified gazes of everyone, Zhou Tianwei in a blue robe slowly walked out of the carriage, while Shu Xin, unusually obedient and quiet at this time, was the last to come out. She obediently stood beside Qin Yichen, unable to speak.

When she saw the terrified expressions on the faces of her Eldest Uncle and Third Uncle, who usually lorded over her Big Sister, she felt extremely delighted in her heart.

Seeing this scene, the last glimmer of hope that the Shu Family members had been praying for was instantly shattered.

“This humble citizen Shu Huili greets Young Master Zhou!”

“Greetings Young Master Zhou!”

Following the lead of the Shu Family’s Eldest Uncle, those who had just been discussing grandly how to take in the Shu Ruyan Sisters all bowed together, paying respects to Zhou Tianwei.

However, faced with these people from the Shu Family, Zhou Tianwei showed no intention of acknowledging them. Instead, she turned her gaze towards Qin Yichen. [What a joke. With my status, if it isn’t for Qin Yichen, I wouldn’t have come to a place like this at all! This place is no different from the slums.]

“Young, Young Master Zhou, I think, this… this is a misunderstanding…” Seeing that Zhou Tianwei had turned her gaze towards Qin Yichen, the Third Uncle of the Shu Family was so anxious he was about to cry. Cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Judging from the current situation, this young man did not seem to be Zhou Tianwei’s follower or servant or anything like that. Otherwise, Zhou Tianwei would definitely not act this way.

“Misunderstanding? Old man, that’s not what you said earlier.” However, before the Third Uncle’s words had fallen, Qin Yichen’s cold laugh came over.

The Third Uncle looked up and saw his mocking expression, his face immediately turning even paler. He could only turn his gaze towards his Older Brother for help.

“You fool! Didn’t you know what you were getting into!?” Seeing the Third Uncle’s gaze turn towards him, the Eldest Uncle’s face also suddenly changed. However, afraid that he might reveal that it was he who had sent him over, the Eldest Uncle could only force himself to cup his fists towards Qin Yichen and say, “This Young Master, it was my Third Brother who was blind earlier, please forgive his offence. Actually, my Third Brother was really just concerned about the safety of your goods, so he brought them over for temporary safekeeping…”

“Hehe.” Qin Yichen looked at him with disdain. [His face is really too thick! I guess that should have been expected. Otherwise,  he wouldn’t have gone to snatch things from his own Niece.]

“Young Master, please forgive us. We will immediately send people to return your goods. I guarantee that my Third Brother will never trouble you again in the future!” The Eldest Uncle was also drenched in cold sweat. No matter how hard he racked his brains, he could not figure out how Shu Ruyan had managed to befriend such an important figure.

*Hmph…* To these words, Qin Yichen only coldly snorted twice with his nose in the air.

In the instant of looking up at the sky, he seemed to have understood why Ye Liangchen, the number one arrogant Young Master of Spreading Cloud City, always liked to look up at the sky… [Hmmm… this feeling of pretentious showing off like this is really quite refreshing!]

Seeing Qin Yichen’s attitude, the Eldest Uncle kicked the dumbfounded Third Uncle, then gave him a look. The latter immediately fell to his knees, repeatedly apologising to Qin Yichen.

“Brother Qin, how do you want to deal with them?” Seeing the spineless behaviour of these Shu Family members, Zhou Tianwei’s brows furrowed as she asked Qin Yichen. Obviously, she did not want to waste too much time here.

Hearing her question, the Shu Family members immediately fell silent. From this form of address, they knew that now their lives were in the hands of this seemingly ordinary young man.

“Haaa… considering that I’m cooperating with the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, and you are her Family members, I don’t want to make things too difficult for you.” Qin Yichen said to those trembling Shu Family members, shaking his head, his head unconsciously tilting up at a 45-degree angle again. A light sentence also coming from his mouth and nose, “It’s just that, being so poor at conducting yourselves, you really disappoint me…”

“Poor at conducting ourselves?” Hearing these words, the Eldest Uncle of the Shu Family was stunned, then quickly took a string of keys from the Third Uncle’s waist. He threw them to the guards behind him, and shouted, “Go, take everything inside out, and give it to this Young Master as an apology!”

The poor Third Uncle looked at his Eldest Brother in disbelief, in just a few sentences, all his savings were gone.

“You lot, hurry up and load the things! Send them to the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce later!”

At the Eldest Uncle’s order, the many guards shuddered and hurriedly started moving.

Although the Third Uncle’s face was extremely ugly at this moment, he did not dare to show even a hint of dissatisfaction. After all, his life was more important.

About a quarter of an hour later, in addition to the goods from Shu Ruyan, half a cart of extra things was placed in front of Qin Yichen.

“Um… Young Master Qin, is this… satisfactory to you?” The Eldest Uncle of the Shu Family wiped the sweat from his forehead and asked tentatively.

“Hmm…” Qin Yichen casually rummaged through the half cart of things, and after finding that they were all quite good materials, with various precious medicinal herbs, he nodded slightly.

“Let’s consider his offence against me settled.” Qin Yichen waved his hand grandly, pardoning the Third Uncle of the Shu Family.
