Alchemy Master

Chapter 115, Demanding an Explanation

Among the crowd, witnessing this scene, many people felt regretful in their hearts. Such a beautiful woman was about to be defiled by that Young Master, but no one dared to stand up and speak for Shu Ruyan.

As a First Tier companies in the Royal City, although they did not have the profound heritage of the four Major Families, they were extremely wealthy. They were the true merchants.

After all, the four Major Families established themselves through Martial Arts and were not skilled in business.

Being questioned again, Shu Ruyan was not as flustered as they imagined. Instead, when she looked at them, she seemed to be full of gratitude?

After all, if it was not for their vigorous promotion, how could there be such a lively scene now?

After today, even if her Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce could not enter the ranks of being a First Tier business, it could definitely be a Second Tier one.

After all, their foundation was too weak. However, they now had a backer. Thus, there was no need to fear the lack of opportunities to rise.

“Apologise? Chairman Hua, our Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce has never done anything unconscionable, so why should we apologise?” Shu Ruyan looked calmly at Hua Dao and Tao Chaocheng before her.

“Hmph! Seems like you won’t shed tears until you see your coffin!” Seeing her attitude, Tao Chaocheng snorted coldly and waved his hand. People from the Abundance Group behind him immediately surrounded the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce’s Medicine Shop.

A large group of guards from the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce also swarmed out from the Medicine Shop. As both sides confronted each other, the atmosphere became tense.

“Chairman Tao, is your behaviour implying that you are not taking Zhou Tianwei into account?”  Seeing Tao Chaocheng wanting to make a move, Shu Ruyan’s pretty face still did not show much change, only coldly asking.

“Haha!…” Seeing her bring up Zhou Tianwei again, Tao Chaocheng and Hua Dao exchanged glances and both laughed aloud. Tao Chaocheng’s mouth carried a cold smile, “Of course I, Tao Chaocheng, can’t afford to offend Zhou Tianwei. However, if someone shamelessly claims to have curried favour with Zhou Tianwei, naturally we can’t let her throw her weight around here!”

After Tao Chaocheng finished speaking, the guards behind him opened up a path, and then a man wearing tight-fitting clothes slowly walked out from among them.

“Oh, isn’t that Zhao Lin, a guard from the Zhou Family? Why is he here?” Upon seeing this man, there were exclamations from the crowd. Evidently, quite a few people with good eyesight recognised him.

“Yesterday, after hearing you talk about Young Master Zhou’s matter, I specially went to the Zhou Family and inquired with Manager Zhou. Manager Zhou stated at the time that he had never heard of any Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, and today he even specially sent Guard Zhao to testify…”

Tao Chaocheng looked at Zhao Lin with a fawning smile. The latter nodded, obviously agreeing. Then, Tao Chaocheng changed his expression and righteously pointed at Shu Ruyan, “What else do you have to say!?”

“This Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce is really courting death, daring to use Zhou Tianwei’s name.”

“Yes, who would have thought that such a beautiful woman would do such a brainless thing…”

“It seems that after today, there will be no more Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce in the Royal City.”

After seeing even Zhao Lin, a Zhou Family guard, a wave of sighs and mocking voices immediately spread through the crowd.

Those guards surrounding the Medicine Shop were all cracking their knuckles, just waiting for Tao Chaocheng’s next word.

Seeing that even a Zhou Family guard had come forward, Shu Ruyan’s expression finally showed some change.

She could not help but feel puzzled in her heart. That day when they retrieved the goods, it was clearly Zhou Tianwei and Qin Yichen who went together. Qin Yichen personally told her about the cooperation with Zhou Tianwei. Moreover, even if Qin Yichen was lying, how could Shu Xin possibly deceive her?

However, the Zhou Family manager sent a guard to come, was this not a last-minute betrayal?

“Nothing to say now, right? Hurry up and hand over the formula to me!” Tao Chaocheng squinted his eyes, rudely staring at Shu Ruyan. His palm was raised. With just one word from him, those guards, nearly twice the number of Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce’s guards, would instantly tear this Medicine Shop to pieces.

Just because of one sentence from Shu Ruyan, he had suffered quite a loss. After all, that was the manager of the Zhou Family. Without sending some benefits, that manager would not have agreed to send a guard.

Naturally, Tao Chaocheng wanted to recoup these losses from the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.

“Which Wild Mutt is barking non-stop here, disturbing my business? Do you not want to live anymore?”

Suddenly, in the midst of this silence, an extremely arrogant scolding voice came from the Medicine Shop. A sixteen or seventeen-year-old youth and a curvaceous young woman walked out unhurriedly from the Medicine Shop.

They were Qin Yichen and Shu Xin.

Hearing Qin Yichen’s voice, Shu Ruyan’s heart immediately relaxed. Seeing him walk over, she and Shu Xin stood behind him, together.

“Oh, Shu Ruyan is actually standing behind him?”

“Who is he, so arrogant?!”

“Merely a youth, yet he dares to scold Chairman Tao. Doesn’t he know that there’s someone from the Zhou Family standing right in front of him!?”

The fact that a mere youth would have such courage, surprised many people present. However, that surprise quickly turned into sympathy and mockery.

Let alone the representative of the Zhou Family manager, even Tao Chaocheng and Hua Dao were not people many dared to provoke in the Royal City.

Hearing this scolding voice, Tao Chaocheng was first stunned. When he saw Qin Yichen’s slightly contemptuous gaze sweep over him, the anger in his heart erupted.

“You bastard, who are you cursing at!?” Tao Chaocheng’s eyeballs were filled with bloodshot lines as he angrily shouted.

*Whoosh!* As soon as Tao Chaocheng’s voice fell, Qin Yichen’s feet moved, and his figure appeared ghost-like in front of Tao Chaocheng.

*Pa!* Under the shocked gazes of the crowd, a crisp slapping sound rang out. Tao Chaocheng’s somewhat fat body was violently slapped to the ground.

*Ahhh…* Seeing this scene, a series of sharp inhales immediately sounded from the crowd. Those pairs of eyes all revealed shock and disbelief.

Something big was about to happen!

“Ah! You Dog, you dare to hit me!?” After a moment, a shrill scream came from Tao Chaocheng’s mouth. He never thought that this sudden youth would be so brazen as to lay a hand on him!

Although his Abundance Group had considerable power, he was just a merchant. He was only a Martial Master through the consumption of medicine. Due to this slap, several of his front teeth were knocked out, and his cheek greatly swelled.

Qin Yichen, who was originally turning to walk back, paused upon hearing his cursing. He turned around and walked towards Tao Chaocheng, who was lying on the ground.

“You… what are you trying to do!?” Seeing this youth coming over again, a flash of panic appeared in Tao Chaocheng’s eyes. Lying on the ground, he could not help but crawl back a few steps, shouting loudly, “Go, kill him for me!”

“Stop!” Just as those guards from the Abundance Group were about to draw their weapons and rush towards Qin Yichen, a cold shout suddenly rang out.
