My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 442: Chapter 204: Guidance

”Senior Brother Shi, it’s been a while.”

”Hahaha, Junior Brother Luo, it really has been a long time.”

”I heard you went to Black Wind Ridge, north of Canglan Prefecture, to deal with bandits last time, Senior Brother Shi? How did it go? Was it successful?”

In front of the mission board in the Miscellaneous Affairs Department, the Inner Sect Disciples were making a racket.

The man called Senior Brother Shi, a sturdy middle-aged man with an honest face, sighed at the question and shook his head. ”Don’t even mention it. After more than half a month of hassle, those bandits proved to be as slippery as eels. The moment they caught wind of us, they all vanished into the forest. In the end, we only managed to kill a few grunts, but we couldn’t catch their leader. It was a wasted trip. All I got was about two hundred contribution points... which wasn’t even enough to cover the cost of the Elixirs I used to replenish my True Essence on the journey there and back.”

Junior Brother Luo, standing beside him, gave a wry smile. ”Same here... Last month, I took a mission to patrol Qinghe Town. The round trip took seven or eight days, and in the end, it turned out to be just a few ordinary wild wolves causing trouble... A hundred contribution points isn’t even enough to fill the gaps between my teeth... These contribution points are getting harder and harder to save up.”

The two of them stood before the mission board, their faces filled with worry as they looked at the dazzling array of missions, most of which were time-consuming and arduous.

”Sigh, if only we could fly.”

Senior Brother Shi suddenly remarked with a sigh, ”I hear the senior brothers and sisters who’ve mastered Body Technique Leaf Skills are far more efficient with missions. Take a mission like suppressing the bandits in the Great Cloud Marsh, for example. They can just fly straight there. Think of all the time and effort they save not having to trek through mountains and rivers. Not like us... we spend most of our time just traveling.”

”Sigh, tell me about it.”

Envy filled Junior Brother Luo’s eyes, followed by a sense of powerlessness. ”I actually redeemed a Body Technique Leaf Skill a long time ago, called ’Mirror Flower Water Moon’... But only after I got it did I realize the damned thing is incredibly hard to practice. The True Essence circulation is unbelievably complicated! Without an elder to give detailed guidance, it could take three to five years just to figure out the basics by studying the Secret Manual on your own... Sigh, how could ordinary Inner Sect Disciples like us ever get that kind of personal instruction?”

Senior Brother Shi let out a long sigh and nodded in deep agreement. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he asked, ”Mirror Flower Water Moon? Didn’t Senior Brother Qin of the Guiyuan Lineage give a lecture on Mirror Flower Water Moon at the Tempering Martial Hall a year ago? I also heard that many of our fellow disciples who practice this Skill benefited greatly, some even managing to grasp the basics of the entry-level... You didn’t go?”

”Of course I went!... I never missed a single one of Senior Brother Qin’s classes!”

Junior Brother Luo replied immediately, an expression of awe and admiration on his face. ”I have to say, Senior Brother Qin truly lives up to his reputation as the greatest genius our sect has seen in a hundred years... His Talent is just terrifyingly powerful!”

He lamented, ”Actually, during the time I was attending the lectures, I could already levitate!... But unfortunately, there are some key points I still haven’t figured out. My True Essence circulation always seems to go wrong, which means the Skill only works some of the time...”

He paused, then shook his head with a wry smile. ”Sigh, the lectures at the Tempering Martial Hall are only two hours long, and Senior Brother Qin only lectures once or twice a month... Plus, he doesn’t always talk about Mirror Flower Water Moon... Sigh, if only Senior Brother Qin would hold a few more sessions... I bet I could truly reach the entry-level then...”

”Is that so?”

Senior Brother Shi looked enlightened, then shook his head helplessly. ”Well, there’s nothing to be done about that. Senior Brother Qin is a True Inheritance of the Guiyuan Lineage. Of course he can’t spend all his time being a Lecturer...”

Junior Brother Luo sighed softly, then said with bitterness, ”Comparisons are odious... Compared to Senior Brother Qin, I feel as dumb as a pig...”

Senior Brother Shi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He was just about to offer a few words of comfort.

When he suddenly heard a series of gasps.

”This mission? Is... is this for real?!”

The sudden outcry made the two of them freeze for a moment. They stopped their conversation and instinctively turned to look.

They saw several Inner Sect Disciples in front of the mission board gasping, their eyes glued to the board...

Their exclamations drew the attention of many other Inner Sect Disciples nearby, who then began to exclaim in surprise one by one.

”Is it real?”

”It’s... it’s got to be fake, right?”

”This...”

The two exchanged a glance, their curiosity piqued.

”Could it be another Demon-slaying mission?”

”Let’s go take a look.”

The two of them curiously squeezed closer.

And then they saw it: a new mission notice had been posted on the board.

Suddenly, Junior Brother Luo’s gaze froze. He blinked, uncertain, and after taking another careful look, his eyes gradually widened...

[Special Guidance Mission]

’Guidance Content: In-Depth Discussion on the First Level of Entry for ”Mirror Flower Water Moon.”’

’Issuer: Guiyuan Hall True Inheritance ’Qin Fang’’

’Compensation: Accepter must pay 500 contribution points.’

’Special Note: Entry-level mastery guaranteed. If entry-level is not achieved, contribution points will be fully refunded.’

’Acceptance Restriction: Limited to Inner Sect Disciples who have chosen this Leaf Skill but have not yet reached the entry-level.’

’Each guidance session is limited to twenty people, with a duration of four hours.’

...

”This... This is...”

Senior Brother Shi’s jaw dropped, and he subconsciously looked over at Junior Brother Luo.

Junior Brother Luo’s eyes were glued to that mission post, and he couldn’t look away!

”Guiyuan Hall True Inheritance... Senior... Senior Brother Qin? He... He’s giving an In-Depth Discussion on Mirror Flower Water Moon?! And he’s guaranteeing entry-level mastery?”

He murmured, almost in disbelief.

But very quickly, Senior Brother Shi saw a look of utter ecstasy in his eyes.

”This mission doesn’t earn contribution points... you have to spend them instead?”

”Senior Brother Qin is lecturing personally?!”

”Five hundred points?”

The surrounding Inner Sect Disciples erupted.

”Mirror Flower Water Moon... It’s Mirror Flower Water Moon!! I can already levitate, but I’m still stuck on what comes next, and Senior Brother Qin is actually going to lecture on it... and only to twenty people at a time?!”

”I have to sign up! I have to sign up!!”

”I want to sign up, too!”

Right then and there, people began shouting excitedly.
