My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 441: Chapter 203: Making Money

Given Qin Fang’s status as a True Inheritance disciple of his lineage, naturally no one would stop him from seeing the on-duty Elder of the Miscellaneous Affairs Department.

Qin Fang nodded and followed the disciple through the bustling Task Hall to a relatively quiet side hall in the back.

”Senior Brother Qin, please wait here for a moment. I will go in and announce you,” the disciple said respectfully.

Qin Fang agreed and waited quietly in the side hall.

Before long, an old man with a lean face and a peaceful aura came out, accompanied by the disciple.

Qin Fang recognized him at a glance—it was Elder Luo Wandu of the Jinghong Lineage.

He had taught classes in the Tempering Martial Hall before, and Qin Fang had attended a few of them, so they had met several times.

”Greetings, Master Luo.” Qin Fang stepped forward and offered a formal greeting.

Elder Luo nodded with a smile, his tone gentle. ”Ah, Linyuan. No need for such formalities. Come in and sit.”

After speaking, he waved his hand at the disciple standing in attendance. The disciple understood, bowed, and excused himself.

Elder Luo led Qin Fang to a tea table inside the side hall and gestured for him to sit, casually pouring a cup of hot tea and handing it over.

”Thank you, Master.” Qin Fang accepted it with both hands.

Elder Luo picked up his own teacup, blew gently on the surface, and then looked up, smiling warmly. ”The disciple just told me you were looking for me. What can I do for you?”

”It’s like this,” Qin Fang paused briefly to gather his thoughts. ”Master Luo, I’d like to post some tasks in the Miscellaneous Affairs Department.”

”Oh?”

Elder Luo looked slightly surprised.

After all, with Qin Fang’s status as a First Hall True Inheritance disciple, any needs he had would typically be arranged for him by his own Hall. It was rare for someone like him to come to the Miscellaneous Affairs Department to post tasks personally.

Qin Fang proceeded to explain his idea in detail.

At first, Elder Luo simply listened intently, but gradually, a look of astonishment appeared on his face.

Only after Qin Fang finished did he speak, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. ”You mean... for the tasks you’re posting, not only will you not be giving contribution points to the disciples who accept them, but you will be charging them contribution points instead?”

”Yes.”

Qin Fang nodded, then asked with some hesitation, ”Is... is that permissible?”

Elder Luo frowned slightly and pondered for a moment before shaking his head. ”It’s not that it’s impermissible. As a True Inheritance disciple, you already have the authority to post tasks in the Miscellaneous Affairs Department. It’s just...”

He paused, a hint of novelty in his tone. ”This kind of task, where you charge contribution points instead of giving them... is certainly... unconventional.”

”Then in your opinion, Master, will anyone be willing to accept the kind of task I just described?” Qin Fang pressed.

Elder Luo thought about it carefully again. Although he still wasn’t entirely sure, he nodded.

”There... should be.”

He said, weighing his words, ”After all, you are a First Hall True Inheritance disciple. If they could receive your personal, one-on-one guidance, especially for a Body Technique and a Pupil Skill, which are Leaf Skills notoriously difficult to get started with and easy to make mistakes in... There are quite a few disciples in the Sect practicing ’Mirror Flower Water Moon’ and ’Void Spiritual Eyes,’ and many of them are stuck at the entry-level barrier. I imagine there will be some disciples willing to pay contribution points for that...”

Yes.

This was precisely Qin Fang’s idea.

’He definitely had to become a Lecturer... he was desperately short on contribution points right now.’

Beyond that... Qin Fang also planned to...

Become a private tutor.

Mirror Flower Water Moon and Void Spiritual Eyes would be his main offerings for now.

These two Leaf Skills involved complex circulation of True Essence and demanded extremely high Control over it. Even if Qin Fang taught a public lecture, he couldn’t possibly go into great detail. Time was limited, so he could only mention the general points at best.

But now, Qin Fang planned to offer small classes.

He would meticulously teach those disciples who had chosen these two Leaf Skills... and help them reach the entry-level.

He had his reasons for choosing these two, of course.

The Body Technique was a no-brainer... ’It’s the ability of Flying!’

Not every True Essence Realm Martial Artist could master it.

Many had even reached the True Essence Third Realm or Fourth Realm... and still couldn’t fly.

For instance, those Filth Land Sect followers he’d encountered the other day were all True Essence Realm Martial Artists... weren’t they all unable to fly?

It was because the circulation for the Body Technique Leaf Skill was complex, making it extremely difficult to master.

Meanwhile, Qin Fang had already reached Great Success in the First Layer of Mirror Flower Water Moon... though he had not yet reached Perfection.

But between reaching entry-level and Minor Achievement, and from Minor Achievement to Great Success... he had experienced a total of two Epiphanies.

These two Epiphanies had given him an astonishingly deep understanding of the First Layer of Mirror Flower Water Moon.

He knew many details and Key Points that could help others circulate their True Essence more smoothly and thus achieve the entry-level... but the Secret Manual was not detailed about them... and some weren’t even mentioned at all.

Qin Fang felt that with his guidance... as long as someone’s Control over their True Essence wasn’t too poor, they could almost certainly reach the entry-level in a short time.

’That was the ability of Flying!’

’What True Essence Realm disciple could resist such a temptation?’

’The profit potential was immense, a truly bright path forward!’

As for Void Spiritual Eyes, the same principle applied.

While an Investigation-type Leaf Skill wasn’t as tempting as Flying, it was incredibly useful when venturing outside the Sect.

Most importantly... Void Spiritual Eyes was not picky about one’s True Essence Nature, meaning anyone could learn it.

...The Epiphanies Qin Fang had experienced would also allow him to easily guide those who chose this Leaf Skill to the entry-level.

’Missions outside the Sect awarded too few contribution points, and they were time-consuming and exhausting. Being a Lecturer was easy, but there were too few available lecture slots. Since that was the case, why not just offer private lessons!’

Qin Fang wanted to see if this method would allow him to quickly accumulate contribution points.

”So... how many contribution points are you planning to charge for this task?” Master Luo asked after a moment’s thought.

Qin Fang had already thought it through. ”Five hundred contribution points per person. Entry-level guaranteed. If they can’t reach the entry-level, the contribution points will be fully refunded.”

Hearing this, Master Luo raised an eyebrow, then chuckled. ”You’re certainly confident... Alas, your Talent and comprehension in Leaf Skills are truly astonishing. It’s a pity the Hall Master didn’t go to Guiyuan Valley himself that time...”

Qin Fang froze for a moment at his words, then felt a little awkward.

...This Elder Luo was, after all, from the Jinghong Lineage.

”Your previous lecture on the Martial Arts Third Realm was so thorough and profound that even we old-timers felt humbled...”

After sighing with emotion for a moment, he nodded again. ”Interesting... Alright, I’ll post this task for you.”

Qin Fang let out a soft breath of relief and cupped his fists. ”Then I’ll have to trouble you, Master.”

”It’s no trouble at all. Don’t be so formal.”

Master Luo smiled.

Master Luo immediately began discussing the details of the task with Qin Fang... Clearly, he was quite curious about this new task model.

’Posting a task that not only doesn’t award contribution points but actually charges them?’

He had a feeling... if Qin Fang succeeded this time, then the task system of the Miscellaneous Affairs Department would probably be split into two parts in the future.

’One part for earning contribution points.’

’And one part for spending them.’

’...And no one ever felt they had too many contribution points.’

’That included Elders like himself.’

He thought to himself, his eyes glinting.

After they had settled all the details, Elder Luo asked Qin Fang to wait for a moment, then turned and went to another part of the side hall to post the task directly.
