Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 238: I Should Text

Adam returned home to the same view. Just one car parked, belonging to Julia.

Even before he enters, he knows what to expect as it has become a daily routine.

Adam enters the mansion with the folder in his hand, wondering if he should drop the bomb on Julia right here and now, and then force her into submission by showing her that she has no other option but to comply with his needs.

From here on, she has to live in this mansion as his slave, just like he always intended her to be.

But then again, he doesn’t know how Julia would react to his sudden threat. She might submit to him as he expects, but there is also a very small chance that she might lash out, which might cause unnecessary problems that would take some effort from him to subdue.

He knows he needs to drop this on her when she has no fight in her. Only then will he have full control of the situation and will be able to make Julia submit to him, and once she does, he will do any and everything he wants to do to her so that she won’t be able to ever go back to being the woman she was.

Adam walks into the living room and finds Julia sitting in front of the couch watching TV again.

This has not been the norm since he caught her watching that awful TV show where the female main character has an affair with a younger man. Just thinking about the way he ridiculed her for living her fantasy through a TV show brought a smile to Adam’s face.

But this time, he won’t get the chance to do the same because she is watching some cliche reality TV show.

Julia noticed Adam’s presence and also the folder in his hand. Being the overly curious woman that she is, she can’t help but wonder what those files are. She then recalled the conversation between Adam and Jack and assumed that the folder in Adam’s hand is related to that.

Thinking about that conversation, Julia always felt there is more to that conversation than what Jack told her it was about.

Julia feels a great need to know what’s in that folder, but of course, she knows there is no way in the world that Adam would let her see it.

As she kept looking at the folder, Adam caught her in the act. Julia realized IT as well, so when their eyes met, she could see his signature smirk on his face, the same smirk that boils her blood with anger and frustration, and she has no cure for it.

”What? Are you perhaps interested in what I have in my hand?” Adam asks smugly while waving the folder with his hand.

Julia doesn’t answer as she knows Adam’s just trying to toy with her like always.

Instead, she turns her head away to not engage with Adam. She doesn’t want to give him the satisfaction of getting another win over her, no matter how small it is.

Julia has realized that all she has been doing recently is reacting to Adam and not taking the actions necessary for her to win.

’I am done reacting. Now it’s my time to act. I am going to get rid of you for good,’ Julia thinks as she focuses on the TV show once again

Julia knows what her biggest problem is, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out, it’s Adam. Adam’s her biggest problem.

All her problems stem from him, so if she gets rid of him for good, then all her problems will go away.

With Adam gone, she won’t be constantly thinking about him, which will reduce her desire towards him, which will lead to her going back to the woman she was before, a woman whose thoughts were free of intense sexual desires.

With Adam gone, she can go back to focusing on how to take claim of all of Jack’s property. Which has always been her goal from the very beginning.

She needs Adam to go, and for that, she already has something vicious in mind. As much as Julia desires Adam, she is cold and ruthless enough to destroy him for good so that he won’t be a hindrance anymore.

Adam stops as he feels the intense hostility coming off of Julia. He knows that this evil woman is planning to do something dubious to fuck him over.

But he is not worried. In fact, Adam hopes that Julia does something, as it would give him one more reason to absolutely destroy her.

A final nail in the coffin that he has been building for her.

Adam smiles viciously as he makes his way back to his room.

He walks to his wardrobe and opens the very last compartment, where he has his hidden safe. He inputs the code, opens it, and puts the folder in before locking it.

This safe now holds assets and properties worth two hundred and seventy-five billion dollars, and if everything goes well, the value might increase even more.

With the state that the world is in right now, Adam is certain that the value of these properties and assets will continue to increase.

Before stepping away from the safe, he changes the safe’s code to the date of his regression, as this date is significant only to him and no one else.

No one will know about it because he won’t tell anyone. Others, her the code to his safe is just a combination of random numbers, but not to him.

”It feels great to be rich,” Adam says sarcastically, as he really doesn’t mean it. Adam is going to be more satisfied seeing his own investments flourish than inheriting his father’s money.

Adam then sat down in front of his computer to continue with his recent hobbies, gaining more knowledge, practicing on his piano, and checking up on his investment to see if everything is going smoothly.

Somewhere else in the city, Isla and Suzaan lay next to each other naked and covered in sweat after an intense session of sex.

Isla has her phone in her hand, looking at Adam’s number with anticipation.

It’s been a few days since she received Adam’s number, but she hasn’t heard a word from him, which makes her anxious.

’Does he not find me attractive? Did I turn him off with my awkward attempt to ask for his number? What should I do?’ Isla wonders nervously while her thumbs hover over her phone’s keypad, ready to type.

’I should reach out first, maybe, but Suzaan said not to. She said it would come off as desperate. Isla thinks and turns to look at Suzaan, who is still trying to catch her breath, as she had to put in the work, as she’s the one with the strap on.

Most of the time, it’s Isla who wears it to fuck Suzaan as she is the more dominant of the two, but today, Isla wanted to be at the receiving end of the dick as she wanted to imagine being fucked by Adam.

Not being able to get Adam out of her mind, she thought it would be the best thing to do to calm down, but not that they are done, Isla feels even more desperate to reach out to Adam.

She fears that if she doesn’t, Adam might forget about her.

”What are you doing?” Isla is startled by Susan’s sudden voice.

She turns to see Suzaan looking at her with a disappointing frown.

”I am thinking about texting him,” Isla says.

”Seriously? How many times do I have to tell you? A girl never texts first. Do you want to come off as desperate?” Suzaan asks.

”But what if he doesn’t text me at all? I haven’t heard from him at all,” Isla says.

”He will. Why would any guy not want to be with you? You are fucking hot and beautiful. If he doesn’t text you. It’s his loss,” Suzaan says.

”Have you not been listening to me? If it were any other guy, I wouldn’t have cared so much, but Adam... This is different.” Isla says.

Hearing Isla say those words makes Suzaan feel a pang of jealousy. She has been very close to Isla both physically and emotionally for years, but never has Isla ever given her this much care and attention as she has for this man, whom she has only talked to a few times.

Suzaan is blown away by the impact Adam has had on Isla. She never thought that Isla would be fickle enough to just go for looks. But then again, she has seen Isla reject so many good-looking men over the years, so she knows that Isla’s sudden obsession with Adam is not just based on looks.

She begins wondering what Isla sees in Adam for her to be thinking about him nonstop.

”*Sigh* You are hopeless. Fine, text him. But don’t blame me if things don’t work out between you two,” Suzaan says and rolls out of the bed as she needs to get the strap off her and take a shower.

Suzaan hates being the dominant one as she has to do so much work; she would rather take it and get fucked silly.

Seeing Suzaan walk away, Isla gets nervous as her last words scared her a little. What if she is really messing up by reaching out first? But as she stared at Adam’s name on her screen, she knew she has to do something, or she might miss on something special.
