Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 224: I Know Your Secret

Brittney messaging him out of the blue was never on his bingo list of the day, and she is being very forward with her intentions without being specific.

Trying to build a rapport with Adam, trying to get him to make a move on her by giving him hints about her failing relationship with her steroid-abusing boyfriend.

And as for Adam, he is now in front of a crossroads, whether to play along and get a taste out of Brittney or let her go.

Taking Brittney for himself won’t get him anything, but then again, there have been other women in Adam’s life who don’t bring anything to him either, but he still has them.

Brittney is hot, has a following, is fairly rich, and probably has an influence.

Adam looks at Brittney’s name on top of the message header, with a small profile picture next to her name. He clicks it, which takes him directly to her Fastgram page.

He looks at the pictures she has pinned on her page, all of which have her in very short, skimpy clothes or cosplay. He then looks at her follower count. Over a million followers, of whom almost all are men.

Adam smiles. ’Potential users,’ Adam thinks. ’Maybe she does have a use for me after all,’ Adam thinks, and decides to play along with Brittney.

[Why aren’t you two being intimate?] Adam asks after she expresses her displeasure with the lack of intimacy between her and Brock.

[You are really asking me why?] Brittney replies.

[I am. As I guy, I can never imagine myself not being intimate with my women. And I believe it’s the same with almost every other guy. And credit where credit is due, you are one fine woman. So there is clearly something wrong if Brock doesn’t want to fuck you every chance he gets] Adam says and waits.

Brittney doesn’t reply immediately; she takes her time typing. The typing bubble appears and disappears for a minute or so before her message finally appears on Adam’s screen.

[Fine... I will tell you... But you have to keep it a secret] she says.

’She took her time,’ Adam thinks and replies. [Sure, go ahead, I am great at keeping secrets,]

As he sends the message, he gets a reply back within a few seconds.

[You see... Brock is abusing a lot of steroids, and not just one kind. He abuses multiple and in high doses, and the side effects are already showing. He has acne all over his body, and his hairline is receding. I don’t find him attractive anymore, but the biggest side effect is his dick. It no longer works.] Brittney doesn’t hold back and spills everything she has on her boyfriend.

Who needs an enemy when you have a girlfriend like this?

But then again, Adam is also not right in the mind, as he does feel attracted to these kinds of toxic girls, but unlike other men who have a familiar preference like him, Adam truly has the power to change such girls.

Just look at Ruth. Before meeting Adam, she was a proper slut who would spread her legs for anyone she was attracted to, but after Adam was done with her, she didn’t even look at other men anymore. Her thoughts consist only of him.

[Wow, sounds bad. But the only thing I can do is pity you] Adam replies.

He knows what Brittney wants, but he won’t outright give it to her. He will mess with her a little and see how much she really wants it.

It’s not like she is a loyal woman. She is already fucking that other dude in her friend group, which Adam found out from Ruth, and he is sure that she would jump him and wrap her legs around his waist if he just says yes.

But where is the fun in that? If Brittney wants Adam, then she needs to put in more work than just texting through her phone.

[Wow! Only pity?] Brittney asks.

[What else do you want from me then?] Adam asks.

[I don’t know... Maybe we can hang out irl, I would love some company right now...] Brittney says.

’She is being more direct with it,’ Adam thinks. Even though she hasn’t said the word, her message couldn’t have meant anything else either.

[Why don’t you ask Ruth or your other friends? I am sure they would be able to give you a better company than a stranger like me,] Adam says.

[You are not a stranger. Especially after all those pictures I sent to you. And right now, I don’t need friends. I need someone strong to lean on and express my frustrations.] Brittney says.

Adam shakes his head and chuckles with amusement, reading her texts.

[Well, I don’t have time for anyone right now. Why don’t you ask Cora’s boyfriend? I saw how ”close,” you both are.] Adam sends with a mischievous smile on his face.

He wonders what will go through Brittney’s mind when she reads his message, when she realizes that he knows about her and Richard.

On the other side of the phone, Brittney is lying on her bed, wearing nothing but an underwear made her lace.

With her phone in her hand, she reads the text that Adam just sent. Her eyes widen, forcing her to sit up.

’How did he know?’ Brittney questions herself as she tries to think of ways Adam could have figured it out.

A name comes to her mind. ’Ruth,’ She thinks, but then again, she begins wondering how Ruth figured it out. She was sure to be very careful when sneaking behind their friends’ backs.

’Did she see us? When?’ Brittney begins questioning, but couldn’t think of a situation where Ruth could have seen them, and even if she did, why didn’t Ruth confront her about it?

’I need to know more,’

She thinks and decides to question Adam. [Where did you hear it?]

Adam smiles. His fingers began to type rapidly on the keyboard. [I didn’t hear it from anyone. I figured it out myself. You see, I have a very good sense of what people around me do and are thinking about. I saw the way you and Richard looked at each other. I just didn’t bother saying anything because you all are complete strangers to me. It’s none of my concern about what strangers do among themselves] Adam replies.

Brittney, who is now on the edge of the bed, waiting for Adam’s reply, finally gets it and begins flying through it.

Her brows scrunch as she reads Adam’s text. ’Is he being serious? So Ruth doesn’t know?’ She wonders and texts him back again. [And you didn’t hear this from Ruth?] Brittney asks.

[Come on, as much as I like her, do you think Ruth is smart enough to figure out what you two are doing?] Adam replies back, playing to her ego.

Brittney is a smart girl, and she knows it, but that also means she has an ego bigger than most people. Adam just needs to stroke it to make her dance to his tune.

As she reads Adam’s text, it does make sense to her. Ruth has never been the smart one in the group. And if anyone can figure out the relationship dynamic of their friend group, it’s an outsider like Adam, who is far more observant than regular people.

[Fine, you got me. Richard and I do have a thing going on, but it’s only recent. With Brock’s problems, I needed someone else to deal with my physical needs. And being an internet celebrity, I couldn’t just fuck some random guy. It had to be someone I knew.] Brittney gives her explanation.

Adam smirks, reading how Brittney is trying to justify her actions. She betrayed her friend and fucked her boyfriend; there is no justifying her actions, but then again, Adam’s not the moral police. He doesn’t give a shit. In fact, this works in his favor.

[Figured much], Adam replies. Not adding any context or expression behind his text to make Brittney come to her own conclusion as to what Adam is thinking.

As Brittney reads Adam’s reply. She feels he is being a little passive-aggressive. Of course, this is in her own head because deep down she knows what she is doing is wrong, but she will never admit it openly.

A blank reply from Adam has made her subconscious take over and make her feel frustrated over Adam’s text.

Her fingers immediately begin typing. [Please! No need to act all high and mighty! Have you never fucked other girls behind Ruth’s back or any other girl before her?] She sends it to Adam.

Adam reads Brittney’s aggressive text and smirks. He begins to slowly figure out what kind of girl Brittney really is.

[Whoa there? What’s with the attitude? When did I act all high and mighty? It’s you who presumed it. I don’t really care if you want to fuck other men. What’s that gotta do with me? As for me fucking girls other than Ruth, then yes, I do. But I don’t need to lie and hide about it, Ruth knows I do, and she is completely okay with it,] Adam says and sends it.

He waits for a reply.

Five minutes go by, but he doesn’t get any. He closes the message tab and continues on with his internet browsing.

Back with Brittney, she keeps staring at the last message from Adam. She has read it over five times now, and she doesn’t know how to reply.

Frustrated, she puts her phone away.
