Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 236: More Self Reflection

Adam can’t contain his smile as he looks at the document in his hand.

He now has properties and assets worth over two hundred and seventy-five million dollars.

This is what his father worked his ass off to make during his entire lifetime, and it’s a massive number.

Some people would sell their souls for much less.

Adam has to give it to his father when it comes to having the mindset for grinding every second of his life to become who he is today. Two hundred and seventy-five million is all the time Jack spent working is worth.

It’s a lot of money, Adam doesn’t deny it, but as he looks at the amount in his hand, he wonders if he had this money in the past, would he have been happy?

He could have spent all this money on gold-digging women and vices to drown himself in to numb his loser of an existence.

He was not who he is today. He is who he is today because of the hardship he suffered. All this money wouldn’t have mattered because he would have just been a very rich loser compared to just the loser he was.

Now, two hundred and seventy-five million dollars richer, Adam feels nothing from it other than the excitement he will get when he watches Julia’s face crumble when the truth is revealed to her.

Adam realizes that he really doesn’t care for his father’s money; it was just an excuse he used to continue to hate Julia so that he could continue to be obsessed with her.

The smile on his face disappears as he really begins to self-reflect.

With everything he experienced in his past life, he could have been successful without regressing in time.

He had thick skin, he was confident, and if he had put some work into his health, he would have been a good-looking man even without this enhanced body.

But he chose to continue living as a bum, drowning himself in self-hatred for being a loser and not trying to get out of the mental prison he had made for himself.

Yes, Julia fucked him over by taking away his wealth, but he could have made a comeback; he had built enough character and gained enough confidence to start anew, but he didn’t.

Because blaming someone else for his failure was easier.

Blaming Julia for his misfortune was easier. Obsessing over her was easier; letting go of control was easier.

Deep down, he knew he wanted to change, but he wasn’t confident enough in himself to bring those changes. Why try so hard when you have already wasted half your life doing nothing?

Continue living how you did, earn minimum wage, continue to live in his shitty, broken-down apartment, and drown yourself in vices like alcohol and fuck hookers.

Adam got comfortable with that lifestyle, and the thought of taking back control and fucking up that comfort level that he found was scary.

It wasn’t until he regressed in time, in a better body, did he feel confident enough to take that chance.

Now he is back in time, and he has access to all the time he lost. He could right his wrongs. He could get revenge on Julia and everyone that fucked him over, and that still hasn’t changed.

As Adam comes to this conclusion himself, the smile on his face returns. ’I was a fucking idiot. Maybe I still am for not letting all of it go, but I am taking control back, and I am never letting it go back to how it was,’ Adam thinks.

He knew he could have changed. Maybe he would have if he hadn’t regressed; he might have just needed a push from someone, but he knows for a fact that his obsession would have persisted.

His obsession with Julia started before she fucked him over; it only grew stronger because of the hatred he developed towards her through the years of him blaming her for his own failure. Regression just gave him the chance to get what he always wanted.

These properties and assets that he now possesses mean nothing to him other than being a tool to get back at Julia.

Adam is focused on building his own empire, his own legacy, and living the life he should have had in the past.

He might use his newfound wealth to help himself build and further his empire and legacy, but he will take no pride in possessing it because he put no effort into it. It’s Jack who ignored his family and put everything into his work to amass this wealth.

Adam is going to use it to strengthen his own empire, an empire much bigger than the one Jack built, without sacrificing what Jack sacrificed.

”How did you do it?” As Adam finishes self-reflecting on his past once again, he gets pulled back by Clara’s voice.

”Huh?” He asks, wondering what she means.

”How did you do it? How did you convince your tyrant of a father to hand over all of his properties and assets to you?” Clara asks.

She has known Jack from the very beginning; she knows how selfish and narcissistic he is, and how he will fuck over anyone to get the things he thinks he deserves. It doesn’t matter if it is family or not.

A man like Jack will never trust anyone, not even his own son, so why the hell would such a man hand over all his wealth to Adam? It doesn’t make sense.

”Well, I just had to convince him that his wife is a gold digger and is after his fortune, which wasn’t that hard,” Adam says.

Clara looks at Adam before nodding her head.

She knew that Jack remarried a younger woman after her friend’s death, and she expected this woman to be a gold digger because why would any woman marry someone like Jack?

Well, there’s Adam’s mother, but Jack and Adam’s mother have known each other for years, and Adam’s mother already had issues growing up with her own father, so there was this psychological dependence between her and Jack.

But there is no other reason for a woman to marry a bastard like Jack, unless money is involved.

”You did well,” Clara says, as she only cares for Adam and his benefits.

She doesn’t give a shit about Jack or his wife. Clara will fight tooth and nail for Adam to make sure no harm falls upon him.

She failed his mother; she is not going to fail him, especially now, after the development that their relationship has made.

”I was not going to let that woman take what’s mine,” Adam says, smirking mischievously.

Seeing that smile on his face made Clara wonder what devious thoughts were forming inside Adam’s head. She can see that he clearly has much more on his mind when it comes to his stepmother, but she doesn’t question it.

It’s not her business to take care of; it’s between Adam and his stepmother.

”Now that this is over, let’s get to the real business at hand,” Adam says, putting the folder down and locking his gaze with Clara.

”Real business? What do you mean?” Clara asks.

”Do you really expect me to believe you called me all the way here to your office just to show me what I already knew? You could have gone over this with me on the phone. You should be more honest with yourself, Clara. You called me here because you wanted to see me,” Adam says, stepping closer to her with a cheeky smile.

Clara’s eyes dilate seeing Adam get closer, while her cheeks flush from embarrassment as Adam is right.

She takes a step back as she can’t help but get nervous when Adam directly confronts her. Too bad, she has no more space to step back as Adam closes the distance between them.

He grabs her by her waist and yanks her in with force, making Clara yelp as her breasts press hard against Adam’s body.

He uses his hand to grab her right under her jaw, forcing her to look up as he leans in for a kiss. He locks his lips onto hers and engages her in a deep, passionate kiss with his tongue.

As soon as the kiss takes place, Clara immediately gives up any resistance and leans into Adam, letting him take control.

After the steamy kiss, Adam turns her over and lays her on her back on top of her own desk as she looks up at Adam with glassy lust-filled eyes.

Adam grins with excitement as he grabs her legs and spreads them open, making her skirt fold up on its own.

He is greeted with two layers of clothing that are obstructing his view of what he wants. The translucent pantyhose and her panties that are underneath.

He grabs her by her cunt as he stares into Clara’s eyes. Clara moans feels Adam grabs her cunt as he owns it. Her eyes flicker with desperation, waiting for more.

Adam feels the warmth radiating from her cunt through her clothes; he can also feel her getting wetter by the second. It won’t be long before her juices start seeping through her panties and pantyhose.

Adam unbuttons his pants and pulls them down along with his underwear, causing his massive cock to shoot out and land right on top of Clara’s crotch.

She gasps, seeing and feeling Adam’s cock on top of her. This massive thing was literally inside her a few nights ago, and it made her see stars, and it’s about to go inside her once again.

”These are in the way~” Adam says, grinning as he rips her pantyhose open, making a big enough hole for his cock to enter her unobstructed.
