Chapter 219: Chapter 219: The New System in Academy City

Machete Girl: They actually disbanded the entire board of directors of Academy City. Anzen-san really went all out this time.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: There was no other way. A power structure controlled by a small privileged class is bound to breed corruption. Without strong measures, the dark side of Academy City would never be eliminated.

On this point, Saten Ruiko understood very well.

Four months ago, after the death of Academy City’s former director, Aleister, Therestina took over as the new director with Anzen’s help.

At the same time, at Anzen’s request, Ruiko began trying to handle Academy City’s affairs.

At first, she thought Aleister’s death meant the cancer in Academy City was completely removed. But soon she realized how naive that thought was.

Even though most of the dirty stuff in the original story came from Aleister, that was just the original. The original only gave fragmented bits. The real world was even crueler and bloodier.

Those board members, relying on their privileges and status, committed crimes no less than Aleister’s. The only reason these crimes didn’t come to light was because they didn’t involve the main or important characters in the story.

And at least Aleister’s actions were for the great goal of purifying Magic Gods. These board members were just feeding their own greed.

Hiring killers, selling Academy City’s high-tech products on the black market, using special methods to erase female students’ memories and turn them into their sex slaves... Human depravity was on full display with these privileged people.

Ruiko used to be a naive idealist who hated killing. But in the past four months, the number of people she personally executed had already reached three digits.

Doujin Artist: The privileged class really is the root of all evil, but they won’t just sit there and wait to lose their power, will they?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Of course not! But if they don’t want a decent ending, we’ll give them one. If all those scumbags die, that’s still helping the cause of human liberation.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Ruiko-chan sounds really scary now.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Yeah, when she first joined, she was such a shy, innocent girl. Her tone was even a little awkward.

Doujin Artist: Now she’s turned into a real tearful badass.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: People grow, you know. But please don’t call me ”tearful boss.” I’ve already told Misaka and Mugino clearly—I like boys.

Curly-haired Guy: Oh? And how did that go?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Hard to say. It felt like they didn’t really listen. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Machete Girl: I think they did listen, but they pretended they didn’t. Looks like those two girls aren’t planning to give up.

Soul Society’s Villain: The problem is how you said it. You should’ve told them you like your cousin.

Doujin Artist: Hahaha! That’s hilarious! But if Ruiko-chan actually said that, they definitely wouldn’t pretend not to hear.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: And then I’d turn into some freak who likes her own cousin, right?

Lin Fengjiao: Liking your cousin isn’t that weird. Lots of cousins get married where I’m from.

Wig Guy: Yeah, I’ve even seen real brothers and sisters get married.

Doujin Artist: The hell? That’s from hentai, isn’t it?

Curly-haired Guy: You bastard, you’ve gotten that twisted? Watching that kind of hentai? Give me the code, I need to... criticize it!

Wig Guy: It’s not a wig, it’s Katsura! And it’s not hentai, it’s real life. Mr. Oda from the big bathhouse next door—he and his wife are real siblings.

Curly-haired Guy: That bald Mr. Oda? How the hell do you even know him?

Wig Guy: She used to be the top hostess at Hello K Club. Whenever our comrades from the Joui faction went there to sing karaoke, we’d always ask for her to sing with us.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Joui warriors going to karaoke and asking for a hostess? Really?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Your group is beyond saving. If you can still pull off your plan, then ghosts must be real.

Doujin Artist: Wait a minute, something’s off with what you said, Wig Guy! Mr. Oda is a man, right? How could he be a hostess? And you even said ”she”?

Wig Guy: It’s correct. Mr. Oda used to be a woman.

Lin Fengjiao: So that means Mr. Oda is actually the younger sister?

Machete Girl: And his wife is the older brother?

Wig Guy: Yeah, that’s right.

Doujin Artist: This relationship is so messed up, I don’t even know how to roast this!

Soul Society’s Villain: So the brother and sister got married, and both of them are transgender...

This is an Actor: That’s insane.

Machete Girl: Pfft, even Anzen popped out after hearing this story!

Lin Fengjiao: If this is real, it really blows my mind.

For Lin Jiu, siblings marrying each other was already hard to believe, let alone both of them being transgender. These Japanese folks really know how to play.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Anzen, are the board matters all settled?

This is an Actor: Yeah, I’ll head back to the Soul Reaper world soon.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Anzen is coming back? Guess we’ll need to prepare more food tonight.

Soul Society’s Villain: I’ll do the cooking tonight.

Looking at the messages from Konan and Hana, Saten Ruiko quietly deleted the words she had typed — ”Stay a few more days” — and rewrote: ”Thanks for all your hard work, Anzen.”

She didn’t want to be apart from him, but Ruiko knew she couldn’t be selfish.

This is an Actor: The Academy City board will be replaced by the Student Council, and you’ll be the new leader. Therestina, Yunohana Seria, and Kinuhata Saiai will help you manage things.

Doujin Artist: Wow, Ruiko, you’re basically the leader of Academy City now.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: It’s all thanks to Anzen. I barely did anything.

If she could choose, she wouldn’t want to be a leader at all. She just wanted to stay by the person she liked. But with Academy City in its current state, she had no choice but to take the job.

This is an Actor: In about two days, we’ll have full control of Academy City.

Four months of god-making had already made Saten Ruiko’s name echo across the world. With two Magic Gods backing her, no one doubted her status as a ”god.”

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Ah, that’s great!

What made Ruiko happy wasn’t becoming a god, but that once they had control of the world, she could finally stay by Anzen’s side as much as she wanted.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: These American soldiers have gone too far! Anzen, I’m going on a killing spree!
