Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Infection Source Contamination

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: What... what happened?

Saten Ruiko opened the photo Kotonoha sent. What appeared before her eyes was a city in ruins. Thick smoke, blazing fires everywhere. Crowds like walking corpses wandering the streets.

Machete Girl: The source of the plague entered Tokyo. What should I do now?

Right now, Kotonoha and her teammates were hiding in a building, looking lost and helpless. The hellish scene in front of her was such a huge shock that she was completely at a loss.

Curly-haired Guy: The source of the plague? Didn’t Kotonoha-chan catch that black mist?

Shark-Faced Guy: Looks like there’s more than one source.

Doujin Artist: Scary! This thing spreads way too fast. I remember Kotonoha-chan left the city only a few days ago, right? And now it’s already fallen?

Machete Girl: Not a few days. Not even 24 hours.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: How can it spread this fast...

This is an Actor: Kotonoha, how’s your family doing now?

Machete Girl: Oh no, Kotone!

Anzen’s words snapped Kotonoha back to her senses. ”You guys stay here for now. Don’t run around.” She gave a quick warning to her teammates and vanished with a flash of Shunpo.

Her little sister should still be at school right now. She hoped nothing bad had happened.

Doujin Artist: Kotonoha-chan, don’t panic. This is the worst time to panic.

Lin Fengjiao: Yeah, the more you panic, the more mistakes you make.

Lin Jiu was still a bit confused. He didn’t really know what that plague source was, but he could tell Kotonoha’s situation was very urgent. The whole city was in chaos, and her family’s life or death was still unknown.

If it were him, he’d probably be freaking out too.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: This is the kind of moment that should be streamed live.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: I don’t think Miss Kotonoha would ever go live under normal circumstances.

Soul Society’s Villain: She’s probably traumatized by streaming.

Lin Fengjiao: Why’s that?

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: Because she’s shy.

Lin Fengjiao: ?

Lin Jiu didn’t get it. What’s there to be shy about in a live stream?

Doujin Artist: Ahem, that’s not an easy question to answer. You’ll understand someday.

Lin Fengjiao: I see.

Lin Jiu didn’t ask further. He figured it was probably a personal matter.

Machete Girl: Who said I’m too scared to stream? I’ll start one in a bit and show you all!

Curly-haired Guy: Damn, Inner Kotonoha’s out again?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Not really surprising. In that kind of situation, killing is unavoidable.

The group had more or less figured out the pattern of Kotonoha’s real side showing up—blood, killing, and fighting. Those things would always send her into a frenzy.

This is an Actor: Did you find your sister?

Machete Girl: Yep, safe and sound!

Kotonoha smirked and glanced at Kotone with her pitch-black eyes.

The little girl’s body was perfectly fine, but inside she looked like she’d just taken a huge hit. She stared blankly at her sister like she’d seen a ghost.

You couldn’t really blame her for that look. The scene when Kotonoha stormed into the school was too shocking. The floor from the front corridor to the teaching building was covered in corpses—that said it all.

Was this demon queen really her sister?

Kotone’s young heart was filled with giant question marks.

Doujin Artist: That’s great news.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Yeah, thank goodness nothing happened to your family.

This is an Actor: Unlike you, your sister doesn’t have spiritual pressure protecting her. You’d better check her carefully.

Machete Girl: Got it. Anzen-san, are you worried about me and my sister? Or... do you want both sisters for yourself? Ehehe, that’s so naughty~

This is an Actor: ...

Doujin Artist: Kotonoha-chan, you just dropped a bomb there.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ”Both sisters” huh... I’m pretty sure Kotonoha’s sister is only about ten years old. Anzen-san isn’t that much of a beast.

This is an Actor: I feel like that last part was unnecessary. I don’t recall ever being a beast in the first place.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Sorry, sorry, it just slipped out.

Curly-haired Guy: He’s actually complaining? The boss is complaining!

Doujin Artist: Hahaha, that tone really sounds helpless.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: I’ve known Anzen for so long, and it’s so rare to hear him complain.

Soul Society’s Villain: True, he always comes across as mature and calm. Never too happy, never too sad—like one of those monks in Buddhism.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: That monk comparison is spot on. Anzen really does seem like someone who doesn’t want anything sometimes.

Machete Girl: Huh? Anzen can’t actually become a monk, right? Otherwise, what are we supposed to do? That would be terrible. Really terrible.

Lin Fengjiao: Isn’t Kotonoha acting a little... strange?

In his impression, Kotonoha was the quiet, gentle type of girl from the East. But now, this sudden change in personality is hard to understand. She even said something as wild as ”taking both sisters”?!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: If you feel it’s strange, that means you’re seeing her true self.

Doujin Artist: Uncle Nine, now you know why she never wanted to stream. The real Kotonoha looks like this.

Lin Fengjiao: Got it.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: I don’t dislike the real Kotonoha, but now isn’t the time for this. You still haven’t solved your own problem yet.

Machete Girl: Just clearing out some small fry. It’ll be over soon, real soon~

Kotonoha’s spiritual pressure burst out, and a bloodthirsty smile curled on her lips.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: ?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ?

Shark-Faced Guy: ...

Doujin Artist: Kotonoha, are you saying you’re just going to start killing? Don’t joke like that. Do you even know how many infected zombies there are?

Machete Girl: Hundreds of thousands? Millions? Whatever, doesn’t matter!

Doujin Artist: How could that not matter?! Even millions of ants aren’t that easy to crush!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: And from the looks of it, the source of the infection is still spreading.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: Rati thinks we need to find and destroy the source first.

Machete Girl: Ugh, such a hassle! Why bother finding the source? If we just kill every moving enemy, wouldn’t that fix everything? Perfect solution!

Doujin Artist: Perfect my ass! Don’t do something stupid!

Soul Society’s Villain: It’s no use, Eriri. She’s on a rampage now. She won’t listen to anything you say.

This is an Actor: Seriously, there’s nothing we can do. Time to switch someone else in.

Anzen opened the admin panel and clicked the ”Possession Transfer” button.
