Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Eriri’s Burning Rage

Tokyo, Shinjuku District.

Kotonoha was charging through the main street, holding little Kokoro in her left arm as she slashed everything in sight. Severed limbs flew everywhere, and black, filthy blood sprayed like a fountain.

For a ten-year-old like Kokoro, this scene was far too brutal. The constant high-speed movement made her head spin and her stomach churn.

Most kids would’ve completely broken down by now, but Kokoro didn’t. She was way tougher than others her age.

To avoid slowing her sister down, she gritted her teeth and stayed silent, trying her best to get used to the bloody mess all around her.

”No need.” Out of nowhere, Kotonoha spoke coldly. ”There’s no need to find the source of the infection. Totally unnecessary. Don’t you think so, Kokoro?”

”Y-yeah... I guess so.” Kokoro answered nervously.

Honestly, she thought if there really was a source, destroying it quickly would be the best solution. But she couldn’t bring herself to go against her sister like this—she was terrifying right now!

Kokoro couldn’t help thinking of those shoujo manga she read before—the yandere girl who went crazy after heartbreak. This felt just like that.

But what confused her was... her sister never dated anyone, so where did the heartbreak come from? And where did these superhuman powers come from?

She was lost and shocked.

”See?!” Kotonoha seemed happy to get her sister’s agreement. ”Just kill all the enemies, wipe them out, and there won’t be any problems! Hehehe...” Her laugh grew creepy, making Kokoro shiver.

Slash!

Another lifeless corpse hit the ground, black blood spraying everywhere and staining the streets.

Kokoro could clearly see her sister’s smile twisting into something even scarier, her eyes glowing red.

She trembled.

The little girl couldn’t help but shake—not out of fear, but because Kotonoha’s spiritual pressure was now completely out of control.

Originally, this spiritual pressure wasn’t aimed at Katsura Kokoro , but as Kotonoha’s killing intent grew stronger, her control over the power inside her kept getting weaker.

If this went on, it could easily cause an irreversible disaster.

It was at this moment.

Kokoro’s body suddenly froze, and the crazy look on her face instantly faded, replaced by a calm and gentle expression. ”Kotonoha really is reckless.” She sheathed her sword and gently placed it on the ground.

Katsura Kokoro blinked in shock, staring blankly at her sister. ”You... who are you?”

The little girl could clearly feel that the one just now, no matter how crazy, was still her sister. But this one now, smiling warmly, was someone else entirely.

”You really have an amazing sense for things.” With a gentle smile, the one using Kotonoha’s body—Anzen—said, ”My name is Anzen, I’m your sister’s friend.”

Katsura Kokoro was silent for a moment, then asked again, ”You’re... a man?”

”Ah, yes.” Anzen didn’t hide it, nodding lightly.

”No wonder.” Katsura Kokoro seemed to understand, nodding as if everything made sense. ”So that explains it.”

Why her sister had changed so much—it must be because of this man, right? She even wondered if they had gone all the way. That silly sister really made her worry.

Anzen’s mouth twitched faintly.

He suddenly realized that having a mind-reading ability wasn’t always a good thing. At least when he overheard weird thoughts like these, he honestly didn’t know how to respond.

And why was a ten-year-old girl’s way of thinking so complicated? What kind of education did Kotonoha’s parents give her?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Anzen, did your mouth twitch just now?

This is an Actor: You saw wrong.

Doujin Artist: No way, I saw it too!

Curly-haired Guy: Hey, what did the little girl mean by that? ”So that explains it”? Explains what exactly?

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Probably that it explains why Kotonoha’s personality suddenly changed. Katsura Kokoro thinks it’s all because of Anzen showing up.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: That’s part of it, but it’s definitely not that simple. Otherwise Anzen wouldn’t have made that little twitch. You know, back when he was playing Aizen, even when we said really harsh stuff, he didn’t react at all.

Soul Society’s Villain: Anzen can read minds. He picked up on Katsura Kokoro’s thoughts, that’s why he reacted like that.

Wig Guy: So what exactly was Katsura Kokoro thinking?

Machete Girl: Obviously that her sister found a good brother-in-law. Katsura Kokoro really knows how these things work, haha.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Didn’t Anzen just say? You even affected your little sister earlier! And you’re still laughing?

Machete Girl: It’s fine. As long as Anzen’s here, all the trouble and pain will be solved.

Doujin Artist: You’ve really lost it, calm down already.

Machete Girl: Calm down? How could I calm down about this! Just thinking that Anzen is inside this body makes me feel so happy, super happy! Ah, my soul feels like it’s burning up!

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: I think it’s your brain that’s burning up.

Machete Girl: Hehe, then let Anzen’s love burn me clean.

Doujin Artist: I don’t even know how to roast that line of yours. That’s just insanely shameless.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: I think it’s because the usual Kotonoha has been too repressed. I can understand that.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Konan, she just confessed to Anzen in front of everyone, and you say you understand? You really are acting like a saint.

Soul Society’s Villain: Konan’s just a selective saint. If Kotonoha wasn’t in this group, what do you think she would’ve done?

Curly-haired Guy: Grab... a machete?

Doujin Artist: No way... I can’t even picture kind, gentle Konan swinging a machete and going on a killing spree.

Machete Girl: Eriri, you don’t get it. Every woman has a machete hidden in her heart.

Doujin Artist: That’s way too one-sided! And stop calling me Eriri already. What’s with this ”little little little Eriri” nonsense?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Translation—Miss Gui is saying yours is very small. You know what I mean, right? Yours is small.

Doujin Artist: I don’t get it, so just spell it out right here!

Eriri ground her teeth in anger. She thought Kotonoha was such a two-faced brat—always polite and gentle on the outside, but secretly looking down on her for being small!

So what if she’s small? Is being small a crime? Does being big make you so amazing?
