The Genius Evolution Store

”I’ve just got a complaint from Grand Magica College that this mess has become so big. So, what happened?” The principal of Kallarnos University asked, staring at Vera and the others with a grim expression.

”Let me explain it from the start.” Vera began recounting the story.

The principal’s expression darkened the moment they reached the part about the drug. He never expected that the situation would get this serious.

Normally, he wouldn’t care about it, but this time the people involved were just too important.

From Kallarnos University alone, he had Vera, Ruka, and Tommi. Vera was practically a scion. She was talented enough to be compared to Ellia Stroph Astler and became the number one sword prodigy. Once her talent bloomed, it wouldn’t be unusual for her to become as strong as him.

Ruka’s family might be a bit smaller, but it was still big enough to cover the entire nation. Her talent was also exceptional with the extreme plant element.

Last but not least, Tommi. He had the best talent. While his family circumstances weren’t as fortunate, his talent was more than enough to make up for it.

In fact, from what he heard, several families were thinking about approaching Tommi to get him to marry into their families. That was why Ruka was also being pushed into this mission.

Unfortunately, the situation had become such a mess.

The principal pinched the bridge of his nose. ”I’ll look into this matter. Thank you for the report. Well, I guess all of you can go. Vera, you stay.”

Once everyone left, the principal asked, ”So, what about the other matter? Let’s start with Ellia Stroph Astler.”

”She...” Vera gritted her teeth and rolled her eyes.

”I know you don’t want to talk about it, but you have to talk, unfiltered. I’m still going to think that your opinion is subjective, so I will evaluate it again.”

Vera clicked her tongue. ”Well, she remained calm under provocation. It looked like she was comfortable at Grand Magica College.”

”What about her skills?”

”She was good. She controlled the battle and even bought us time against more than ten rank 2 humans.”

”Between you and her... who would win?”

”I will!”

”Okay. I was foolish to ask that question. Between her and our spear, William, who will come out on top?”

”...” Vera paused for a moment before answering, ”She will. William practically has no chance against her.”

”I see.” The principal nodded in understanding. ”In that case, how about Auric?”

”He is someone we need to get.”

”Is he that good? His avatar possesses a unique element, doesn’t it?”

”Yes and no. First of all, the information about him is wrong. He might have a unique element, but his lightning element has evolved.”

”What?!” The principal widened his eyes in shock. ”What do you mean by that?”

”Literally. His lightning element has power equal to a rank 2 avatar. However, his plant element and wind element remain at rank 1. I don’t know about the disparity or how he somehow has three elements, but there’s a chance that this is not the end of it.

”He may get another element in the future. From my current analysis, his unique element may allow him to use at least six basic elements. This will make him terrifying.

”However, we have to reassess his value by the fact that he is able to evolve his lightning element. There might be a unique system that we don’t know about in his unique element, but it doesn’t change the fact that Auric has the power of a rank 2 avatar, in less than two months since his awakening.”

The principal crossed his arms. ”It’s extremely rare, but it’s not exactly surprising. There are families who are just stuffing their daughters and sons with materials and forcefully evolving them.”

”Yes, but that will make them weaker than others. On the other hand, Auric’s battle experience seems rich. It’s clear that he’s gathering his materials by himself.” Vera shook her head helplessly.

”If his lightning element is equal to rank 2 avatar... his evolution master status...”

”I’m afraid he is already a silver-grade evolution master.”

”!!!” The principal was dumbfounded. A rank 2 avatar was shocking enough, but if Auric could become a silver-grade evolution master, it would make him monstrous.

The principal crossed his arms. ”He’s that good?”

”I’m still not doing him justice.”

”What do you mean?”

”Can you keep a secret for this part? I have promised him not to mention anything to the authorities. It will put him in danger if I do so.”

”Of course, I can do that. If he’s truly that good, I will ensure his safety.”

”Axel Aheron. I’m sure you’re familiar with this case.”

”Yes. This guy should be hit by the poison in the report.”

”Apparently, he was the guy who fixed him. Maxwell also suffered a similar injury, but he managed to get rid of it as well.”

”So, he’s that good already? It doesn’t sound like he’s just a normal silver-grade evolution master. Most likely, he might already have a three-star badge...”

”I don’t know about that part, but if you can access the information from the Evolution Association, you may find out about it.” Vera shrugged.

The principal took a deep breath. ”Okay. Are you going to surprise me again?”

”I’m afraid so. This is even more ridiculous than all of them. He’s able to use elemental fusion.”

The principal stood up. ”Now that I think about it, he’s someone with multiple elements, so he should be able to use it. However, the requirement to use elemental fusion is not so low that someone with only two months’ experience can do it...”

”Yeah. I’m assuming that’s his talent.” Vera scratched the back of her head. ”If you combine all of them, I guess that’s just how talented he is.”

Both Vera and the principal still didn’t know that he was a unique-element evolution master, or the fact that he was the creator of the gathering techniques, or the artificial heart methods.

Nevertheless, this was more than enough to make the principal realize that something was off with Auric.

”The fact that he can reach rank 2 so easily... His future path might actually be brighter than normal unique-element users. The problem is the secret of his unique element. If he can evolve to a certain extent, he will become extremely valuable.”

”Unfortunately, that’s something I don’t know. However, he and Ellia are quite close. As much as I hate to say this, Ellia is not someone who judges a person by his looks alone. She might know something that we don’t know. In other words, there might be other secrets that we don’t know yet.”

The principal realized that Auric might actually be much more talented than Tommi. If only he didn’t have a unique element, he would have become a national treasure. The principal didn’t need to have this headache.

The principal thought for a moment before saying, ”I’m going to push for the authorities to handle this mess.”

”Yes, I’ll also request my family to do it. I don’t know about Ellia, but Auric’s teacher is Maya Relesha.”

”If the Relesha family knows about his talent, they might also do something about this. I guess law enforcement is going to get many phone calls this time.” The principal chuckled.

”So, are you going to invite them both to Kallarnos University?”

”Yeah. I will invite them both. After listening to your report, I’m more interested in Auric, but if Ellia knows something, then it’s one more reason to invite her. Just by observing them, we will be able to know more.”

”Well, suit yourself. No matter who comes, I won’t lose again.” Vera harrumphed.

The principal let out a sigh. It looked like Tommi was right about Auric. No matter his future, he was talented enough to enter Kallarnos University. He will still shine brightly until he graduates.

There was no reason not to invite him. The rest would depend on Auric’s talent.

...

Grand Magica College.

”Are you okay?” Maya checked Auric’s condition. ”You’re fine, right?”

”I’m fine. I know my condition best.” Auric smiled. ”Besides, I’ve got plenty of interesting elements. For now, I’m going to focus on evolving my fire element and my unique element.”

Considering his evolution, he only needed one more element for the wind element and the plant element to evolve them. Since he played around with them a lot, he has many candidates, so he could easily evolve them. It would just need a bit more time.

”Still, what should I do about this mess? I don’t exactly like problems.”

Since Auric was someone who didn’t seek out problems, Maya could understand his frustration.

”I will see what I can do. I will definitely protect you. For now, I don’t think they’re going to touch your mother, especially with the government agents protecting her. Still, if you don’t have anything to do, it’s better for you to stay on campus. It’s easier for me to protect you.”

Auric nodded. ”I don’t mind. I can focus on getting stronger as well.”

”Good.” Maya sighed. ”You can go back for now. By the way, are you going to Kallarnos University?”

”Why?” Auric tilted his head in confusion.

”You know. They’re the best university in this country.”

”My answer remains the same. They can be the best, but it doesn’t matter to me. If I wanted the best treatment from the beginning, I would have told everyone the fact that I’m a unique-element evolution master. Besides, my family is here, so it’s better to stay here. Unless you want me to go there, Teacher... Do you want me to go there?”

”No. I might have graduated from there, but I certainly want you to stay here with me. Still, I don’t want you to stay here just because I want you to stay.” Maya shook her head. She was worried her needs would ruin his future.

”You don’t have to worry about that. I have a few other reasons.”

”Okay then. I will see what I can do.”

”Then.” Auric nodded to her and walked away.

Maya contemplated with a solemn expression before calling her grandfather.

”Did the sun rise in the west today? To think that my granddaughter would be taking the initiative to call me. It must be because of my age, but you really do get emotional as you age. Huuu...” His voice cracked as he started sobbing.

”All right. Why don’t you stop playing around for a bit? I’ve come to ask you about a serious matter.”

”Fine.” His voice became normal again. Mathias paused for a few seconds before asking, ”What’s wrong?”

”It’s about Auric.”

”Now this is interesting. What happened? Did you finally cross the line? You were definitely a kid who loved to cross the line, so I was expecting you to end up making a mistake with your student and give me a grandchild. Actually, tell me that’s what happened!”

”I’m serious about this. Auric’s life might be in danger, and I might not be enough to protect him.”

Mathias paused again and finally got serious. ”Okay. Elaborate.”

”You know the poison that once sealed the fate of the Aheron family? Is there any ongoing investigation into that poison?”

”I don’t think so. It’s personal, but I think the government is sniffing something rotten. However, I don’t think they have made a move yet.”

”It looks like the poison is in circulation. The scavengers can actually trade it, and Auric got entangled because of a mission from Kallarnos University. It can be said to be a series of unfortunate circumstances, but the danger remains.”

”You want me to mobilize the Relesha family or push the government to handle it? It’s kind of thin, even for you. At best, I can ask them to create a task force.”

”Auric is already a 3-star silver evolution master, and he has used elemental fusion.”

”Okay. Let me correct myself. I’m sure that an adjudicator will be mobilized. How about I suggest reinstating you as an adjudicator so you can take care of this yourself?”

”I...”
