The Genius Evolution Store

”Oh!” The people inside the hall immediately raised their heads as though they had found something amusing.

”What’s going on? Isn’t that Principal Galeon from Willimlie?”

”I heard he brought the evolution master genius from his university, Garry Kanoe. Who is he competing with? I’ve never heard of him.”

”Still, don’t you think that student behind Principal Fernandes is quite good-looking? No, shouldn’t he be an idol instead?”

”I can’t help but agree. So, is he going to be the one competing? He looks young. Maybe just a baby face. He’s probably in his second year.”

”Anyway, it looks fun. This is the battle between the number one university and the number one college.”

”Aren’t they just sending the evolution masters here because they’re afraid of the competition?”

”Tommiseus? Well, they may be like that. They’re trying to protect their own pride by bringing people who shouldn’t fight with Tommiseus.”

The people were whispering to each other while looking at the clash between the two principals.

Auric and Garry walked onto the stage. Principal Galeon explained, ”The battle this time will be between the two students, Garry Kanoe and Auric Elfe. We will have them help two patients as an evolution master—one with a variant and another with the extreme variant.

”The competition is simple. Anyone who manages to treat the person first will be the winner. With the help of the Evolution Association, we’ve gotten four people for this competition.

”They’ve also sent the evolution masters who will become the referees. Without further ado, let me introduce the evolution masters who will help us today and the patients.”

The people got a bit excited. ”Interesting. The genius from Willimlie University is said to be able to become not only gold-grade but even diamond-grade or even higher. This makes the competition a bit exciting.”

”However, his opponent is a completely unknown student. I haven’t even heard of him. He’s handsome, but other than that, what does he possess?”

People thought Grand Magica College had given up by sending Auric to compete here.

However, some people thought a different thing when they saw what happened next.

Two gold-grade evolution masters walked into the room.

Auric was startled when he saw who actually came. It was the lightning evolution master who helped him with the test the previous day.

”!!!” The evolution master was also surprised. He came here because he was invited to help referee the match between two students.

He just never expected Auric to be one of the students.

The evolution master looked at his opponent before realizing that there was no chance for this student to defeat Auric, who was already a silver-grade evolution master.

However, Garry was a lightning-element evolution master. If they were just competing with their lightning elements, Garry had no chance.

This time, there was another gold-grade evolution master called, and this person possessed a plant element.

That was right. Auric intended to demonstrate his ability as a plant evolution master this time, not a lightning evolution master.

The lightning-element evolution master already knew about Auric’s other elements, but he had to stay quiet because of a non-disclosure agreement.

”These two are Mr. Reyes and Mr. Caron. They will be helping us with the match today.”

Auric and Garry shook hands with both evolution masters first.

Once Auric shook Reyes’s hand, Reyes asked, ”You sure about this?”

Auric nodded. ”Well, I just have to do what needs to be done.”

”Well, I feel sorry for your opponent.”

”There’s no way to determine who is the winner and who is the loser before the match ends.” Auric shrugged.

Reyes scoffed but didn’t say further.

Principal Galeon raised his hand. ”All right. Let us introduce the four people. Each pair has been selected carefully. For the first trial, both Garry and Auric have to treat their respective patients, who both have 106% element in their bodies.

”The second stage will be to treat the patients with the extreme lightning element and 104% elements in their bodies. The first to finish will be the winner.”

Auric narrowed his eyes to see his patients’ conditions. To his surprise, there was actually a problem in the patient with an extreme variant. Meanwhile, there was no problem with the patients Garry had to treat.

Principal Galeon was secretly smiling as he thought, ’I don’t know whether he can do it or not, but even if he manages to treat the first one, he won’t be able to treat the second one. I have to make sure that my student is going to win.’

It was just a precaution since he doubted there was an unknown student whose talent was above that of his own student. Nevertheless, it didn’t hurt to prepare.

Auric didn’t say anything, while Lindwurm was already raging. ”This is a rigged match. Complain and expose their evil deeds.”

’It’s fine. I’m just going to do my best as usual. Either way, the patients are not in the wrong...’ Auric replied to the chubby dragon next to him. He was the only one who could see Lindwurm, so no one noticed this match wasn’t fair to begin with.

Of course, it wasn’t fair to Garry, not to Auric. It wasn’t fair for a silver-grade evolution master to face off against a bronze-grade evolution master.

Garry turned to Auric and said, ”I don’t know if your ability is high or not, but I’m confident in my own ability. It’s a shame, but I plan to defeat you. Blame your own principal for agreeing to this duel.”

Auric smiled. ”How can I blame the principal when he’s just doing his best for the school?”

”Well, he’ll be losing that many S-grade resources, and you will be blamed for it after you lose to me here.”

”Ahaha. In that case, let the better one among us win.” Auric smiled.

”You should have just walked away.” Garry snorted.

Principal Galeon didn’t know Auric’s skills, so he raised his hand one more time. ”It looks like the two participants are ready. Are you ready? Let’s have a countdown!”

”3...”

”2...”

”1...”

”Start!”

The moment they started, Garry immediately walked to the first patient and asked him to begin the evolution process.

Auric walked to his patient while saying, ”Hello, sir. Thank you for helping us, so in turn, allow me to help you.”

”Yes.” The man nodded with a serious expression.

Auric just walked up to him and placed his hand on his chest, suppressing the man’s element. Once he was done, the man’s element would reach 100%, so he could evolve comfortably.

”I’m done with you, sir. You can check your bracelet. It should show 100%. That means you can evolve easily.”

”What?” The person was surprised and checked his bracelet.

Since Auric didn’t say it out loud, the man and the plant evolution master who was to oversee the trial were the only ones who could hear him.

The plant evolution master didn’t expect Auric to treat the patient before the evolution even began. This kind of skill wasn’t something a bronze-grade evolution master was supposed to possess.

However, Auric simply smiled, assuring the person that nothing would go wrong. So, the man began his evolution.

”Look. That guy has started evolving now. He’s off to a late start.”

”This is the difference in skill. I guess Grand Magica College will lose.”

”Such a shame for that handsome face.”

”Principal Fernandes is simply sacrificing this kid.”

To everyone’s surprise, Auric suddenly moved to the second person instead of watching over the first one.

When they saw this, Principal Fernandes and Maya smiled.

”What is he doing?”

”Why is he moving to the second patient?”

”Oi! Treat your patient carefully!”

”Is he giving up?!”

The unrest grew, but since the evolution masters didn’t say anything, the audience couldn’t really say much either.

Reyes, on the other hand, already knew this was going to happen.

Auric simply moved to the second person and said, ”Hello, sir. I don’t know if you’ve noticed it, but you have a certain problem in your right thigh. Have you ever gotten stabbed in this location?”

The man panicked. He was forced to come into this place to help with the match. But the other party actually noticed the hidden problem he had.

Principal Galeon had promised him that nothing would happen to him and he would just have to feign ignorance about his condition.

Auric just smiled before pressing the thigh with his left hand. That expression was all he needed as an answer.

Without wasting any more time, Auric channeled his power into the man’s thigh, breaking down the element accumulated in his thigh. Then, Auric touched the man’s chest and suppressed the remaining element, allowing the man to reach 100%.

”All right. We’re done with your treatment. Please evolve. I don’t know the deal you have, but surely, with two gold-grade evolution masters watching here, you have to start evolving, right? Unless you plan to be caught by them.”

Auric’s threat was simple but oddly terrifying. If he made a mistake, the two gold-grade evolution masters would definitely notice, so he really had no choice but to evolve.

The moment he started evolving, there was no way to stop it. This meant Auric had finished treating his second patient.

”I’ve done it!” To everyone’s surprise, Garry raised his hand, proudly declaring that he had finished treating his first patient.

Auric, on the other hand, turned to him and smiled politely before clapping. ”Congratulations, sir. You’ve evolved.”

Instead of focusing on Garry, Auric actually congratulated Garry’s patient.

”O-Oh? Thank you.” The patient was bewildered, but he just nodded to Auric.

”You...” Garry gritted his teeth. When he saw the two patients on Auric’s side were evolving at the same time, he couldn’t help but shout, ”What the hell are you doing? You need to watch over each patient! You’re being careless as an evolution master!”

The people thought the same. They didn’t know what Auric had done, so they thought Auric was an embarrassment to the evolution masters. They were waiting for the gold-grade evolution masters to scold Auric for his supposed failure.

But first, they needed to take care of the two patients.

However, Auric simply tilted his head in confusion. ”Yeah? I’m taking care of them. Why don’t you start helping your second patient? He’s lonely now, so don’t make him wait too long.”

There was a considerable distance between each patient so that their evolutions didn’t cause their energy to affect other people’s evolutions.

That was why Garry’s second patient was left alone on the right side.

”You...” Garry gritted his teeth. He wanted to say something else, but Auric was right. He had to start with his second patient. In the end, he went to the second patient instead of arguing with Auric.

As Principal Galeon said, Garry’s skills were quite high. If Auric fought him normally, there was no telling who would win.

However, Auric perfectly understood the terms of the competition, so he chose to take care of his patients this way

Auric simply stood in front of both patients, observing them carefully. He was just trying to observe the flow of their energy.

This action was misunderstood by the others.

”Now he’s looking serious.”

”Does he now know that he has made a mistake?”

”I don’t really want him to treat me when I evolve.”

”This is an embarrassment.”

Principal Galeon even came to Principal Fernandes and said, ”Principal Fernandes, you should control your students better so as to not embarrass yourself.”

Principal Fernandes simply chuckled. ”Embarrass myself? What are you talking about? You are the one going to embarrass yourself. Better worry about your students than mine.”

People had a low opinion of Auric. Little did they know, Auric was merely focusing on their flow of energy.

He thought, ’This flow is nothing different, but the expansion and the concentration are something else. Maybe this kind of flow can actually create the artificial heart or somehow connect to it?’

Auric was simply thinking about the artificial heart, ignoring people’s impressions. After all, the result would explain everything.

And it looked like the time had arrived.

Auric’s first patient suddenly released a burst of energy. ”I’ve evolved...”

The second patient followed thirty seconds later. ”This...”

People dropped their jaws. What did they just witness? Two evolutions in rapid succession?
