The Genius Evolution Store

Because of the circumstances, Maya brought the customers very early in the morning for Auric to treat. This way, he could get the last lightning element he needed for his evolution before heading to the airport.

On the way, the principal handed a document to them. ”This is the Academy Conference. All academies from the entire province will send their representatives to attend the conference.

”At this conference, we exchange insights on how to improve everyone’s studies. Usually, the principal will come, accompanied by a teacher.

”Originally, the plan was to have the dean of the Element Department, but under the circumstances, Vice Dean Maya was chosen.

”This conference is also a way to show how good the academy is. That’s why most of the time, people will bring their students. Basically, we’re saying, ’Look at my student. My student is good. That’s because the teachers are good.’

”Normally, second-year students will be given this chance. After all, they have one year to polish themselves. Many have become bronze-grade evolution masters or have evolved their avatars to the juvenile form. So, they’re suitable for such a small competition.

”Of course, my original pick was Ellia Stroph Astler. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pick her this year, and after a little discussion, she declined it as well.”

Auric remained silent. He knew that he was picked for this because of Maya, which led back to the Lightning Emperor. If all this mess hadn’t occurred, Ellia would have been the one to go.

”In any case, you are also qualified. You have defeated a person with a juvenile-form avatar. In addition, you are an evolution master. These two combined are more than enough to show that our student is much more powerful than their students. After all, you are still in your first year.”

Maya suddenly stopped him. ”Although that’s the case, I hope that you don’t have him fight someone with a juvenile-form avatar. He managed to defeat the thug because the thug didn’t have the education of a prestigious academy. He can’t be compared to the elites of the same level.

”In addition, he relied on the terrain a lot during that fight. If he has to compete with them, there’s no telling what might happen.”

Maya gave these reasons to cover the fact that Auric used all his elements to take down the leader. If he fought with only two or three elements against an elite, he didn’t think he could win.

”Is that so?” The principal nodded with a serious expression. ”That’s understandable. However, competing with others as an evolution master shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

”Yeah.” Maya nodded.

”Anyone should we look out for?” Auric asked.

”There are three academies. The first one is Summering Spring University. From what I’ve heard, there is a genius more talented than Simon in the first year. However, looking at the circumstances, it looks like they will bring the spear genius from the second year.”

”Oh? We’ve defeated them before.” Maya waved her hand nonchalantly.

”Defeat... what?” The principal widened his eyes.

”I created a competition so that all their first-year students could challenge Auric. A few of them challenged him, including the person you mentioned. Of course, all of them were defeated.”

”W-What?” The principal’s jaw dropped.

”No need to thank me.” Maya shrugged.

The principal’s eyebrows twitched, but he couldn’t really say much since the competition had been won.

He let out a long sigh, almost forgetting Maya’s behavior. After some thought, he continued, ”The second target will be Willemlie University. This university is probably number one in our province. In the second year, they have the infamous Ryan, who is good at swordsmanship. He’s also adept at using his darkness element. Normally, Ellia will suppress him, but this time, the plan changes.”

Auric nodded in understanding. Maya, on the other hand, asked, ”Shouldn’t they be bringing that guy?”

”That guy? Oh, the rumored evolution master genius who managed to become a 2-star bronze evolution master as soon as he’s in his second year?”

”Yep.”

”Probably. After all, the competition for pure strength is rather fierce, especially with the third university participating.” The principal nodded.

”Third university?” Auric raised his eyebrows.

”Princedome University. They’re pretty much similar to us in rank. They have the gorilla, a man who is unbreakable by anyone at his level, Reyston Wombat. He boasts of having the strongest defense among his peers.”

”Hoh?” Auric felt quite intrigued. He definitely lacked defense, after all. Copying this guy might be useful.

Sadly, the principal said, ”He would have been the one coming if not for their new student.”

”As expected, that guy is the one coming...” Maya narrowed her eyes.

”Most likely.”

”Who?” Auric tilted his head in confusion.

”Tommiseus Krembell. A man with a Grade S affinity. This affinity might not be as rare as you imagine if we look at it on the national scale, but the most terrifying thing about this guy is his element. Absolute Fire.”

”Absolute Fire?” Auric was amused by the first word. There must be something special about this ’absolute’ element.

”Yeah. Absolute Fire is the highest element you can imagine. It has a rating of 5.0. On the one hand, you will have a hard time raising your strength because the evolution masters need extra effort because of that fire’s overbearing strength. On the other hand, you can probably imagine the absolute strength.”

Maya smiled. ”It means that no fire can go against this guy’s element. Even other elements will have a hard time. He’s a man who has gotten national recognition. You know about the strongest people in our world, right?”

”Do you mean the legendary 7?” Auric raised his head.

”Yes. The legendary seven people who managed to evolve their avatars to the limit. Among the three surviving colonies, the Western Union has three, the United Asia has two, and we, the European Union, have two. This guy is rumored to be able to reach that level.”

The principal added, ”But even though the European Union has two, our country only has one. The European Union consists of five countries after all. Meanwhile, the United Asia has four, and the Western Union has two countries.”

Auric’s expression turned solemn. ”Interesting.”

Auric looked excited. He wondered what would happen if he could copy this guy’s element. Obviously, Lindwurm was already drooling, as if asking Auric to get this guy’s element.

Maya suddenly smirked, asking, ”So, if he’s truly the one coming, would you like to have a fight?”

”What?” The principal gasped. ”If he’s coming, the Princedome University will most likely ban anyone who has evolved their avatar to fight him. It’s true that our Auric can challenge him, but...”

The principal didn’t want Auric to understand the bitterness of defeat. This defeat would most likely haunt him because he knew how much the Princedome University treasured this person.

Meanwhile, Maya still believed Auric had a chance to win. It would depend on how much he wanted to win.

”Well, trying to challenge him sounds intriguing.” Auric smiled. ”I don’t know if I can win or not, but it will surely be fun.”

Maya grinned. ”Now, this is getting interesting. We might end up having another Simon.”

The principal gasped. At first, he thought Auric would be the second Simon. But her tone made him realize that Maya thought Auric would win and Tommi would be the one to be haunted by that defeat.

”You...” The principal looked at Maya in disbelief.

”Trust him.” Maya smiled.

The principal was worried that the result wouldn’t meet her expectations.

Auric nodded. ”We’ll see. If there’s no fight, it’s fine too.”

The principal let out a long sigh. ”Fine.”

Maya clapped her hands. ”In that case, we’ve got a deal.”

Auric was a bit excited about this fight. Whether he lost or won, he would get the absolute fire element.

After getting this element, he would only need a weak fire element to complete his fire element evolution.

This would mean three out of nine elements could be evolved.

He wondered if he could steal other elements from people.

”In any case, the competition itself will be held on the last day. Make sure you are prepared.”

Auric raised his eyebrows. ”Why on the last day?”

The principal shrugged. ”If you do it on the first day, the mood will definitely turn sour. So, it’s better to handle all the discussions with cool heads and punch each other in the face on the last day.”

”I see.” Auric nodded in understanding. ”That’s interesting. Do I need to do anything at the conference?”

”No. The conference itself is pretty boring. We’ll probably be talking in circles for a few days and reaching whatever conclusion we can reach. In fact, other than the first day and the last day, you don’t have to participate.”

”Oh?” Auric glanced at Maya.

”Yep. We will do that during those three days.” Maya winked playfully.

Auric originally had three goals for this trip. The first was to evolve his lightning element. The second was to upgrade himself to become a silver-grade evolution master. The third goal was to create a situation to gain another unique element.

Because of the last trip to Summering Spring University, Auric didn’t place too much expectation on gathering other people’s elements. He could probably gain one or two, but he wouldn’t really count on it.

However, another goal was added to the list after hearing about the rivals this time. He definitely intended to steal at least that absolute fire element.

The principal nodded. ”I don’t know what you’re going to do, but don’t make too big a mess. Anyway, I’m more concerned about your reputation. You sure you want to reveal the fact that you are an evolution master at that age? Since people are curious about Tommi’s absolute flame, it might garner the attention of the entire nation.”

Auric thought for a moment. If his identity as an evolution master were revealed, it might be fine. It would make the Night and Day Store even more popular. People would most likely accept the Sun Store and the Moon Store in the future.

The only problem would be what would happen if he fought against Tommi. The country might soon find out about his multiple elements.

He could fool them with the fact that he had a unique element, but this lie would probably not last long.

They would soon find out about the fact he didn’t have an avatar. Then, questions would be pouring in.

Fortunately, he had Maya and the entire Relesha family. They might handle the problem for some time, but it wouldn’t last long.

In other words, he had to increase his pace as well. It actually worked perfectly with the fact that he had already planned to gain the silver-grade evolution master certificate as well as evolving a few of his elements.

With this schedule, he could start preparing for what was to come. At the same time, people might become interested in his physique. If he played it correctly, he might figure something out without much effort.

If he played it incorrectly, he might get kidnapped by people who were curious about his physique.

Either way, Auric had to prepare for the worst, but it didn’t mean he was scared of the glory.

As long as he maintained a certain level of talent, people would be paying attention to him. He could make himself important in that case.

If his plan didn’t work, he could hide in the Evolution Association. If he revealed the Sun Store and the Moon Store, he might be able to gain the country’s protection.

Of course, if he revealed he was a unique element evolution master, let alone in this country, even other countries might try to grant him citizenship.

Auric could consider it as a last resort.

With all those plans in mind, Auric smiled. ”Yeah. I don’t mind all the attention. I just have to play it correctly so as to not get swallowed by everything that will follow.”

”Don’t worry. I’ll help you as well.” Maya patted Auric’s shoulder.

The principal could only sigh. Compared to the Relesha family, Grand Magica College was nothing.
