The Genius Evolution Store

Auric stood his ground and charged his power. There was not even a shred of doubt in Auric’s eyes.

”You shouldn’t have avoided my wall.” Auric smiled. If Tommi burned through his roots and closed the distance between them, he would reach Auric in the shortest time possible.

This meant Auric wouldn’t have the time to prepare himself.

Due to that spin, Auric had close to two seconds to charge his power using his advanced method.

He gathered his lightning into his fingertips.

Explosion.

This time, Auric placed the ’Explosion’ in front of his palm, meaning he was ready to be hit by this ability as well.

But for someone who could see the particles, like Auric, controlling the ’Explosion’ to flow forward was definitely something he could do.

In addition, the concentration of energy in this ability far surpassed anything he had shown so far.

The lightning sparked violently, fighting against Tommi’s absolute fire.

In terms of ferocity, the absolute fire would definitely win. However, Auric still hadn’t used one more element.

Yes, Auric pushed forward with his hand and covered his entire arm with the wind element.

The wind dispersed both the lightning element and the absolute fire element. His hand pierced through them, enduring his own electricity and Tommi’s heat.

Ultimately, Auric dispersed the attack, raised his two fingers, and pointed them toward Tommi, stopping only right before his eyes.

Tommi’s body shook. If Auric wanted to, he could have pierced both of his eyes.

Principal Fernandes had also dispelled the barrier and appeared next to them. If Auric hadn’t stopped his fingers, he would have been the one to stop it.

However, this action made it clear who was really the winner.

”This is my win.” Auric smiled.

Tommi was surprised, but he knew that he had lost. ”You don’t look tired. Don’t tell me, you’ve been holding back during our fight?”

Auric chuckled. ”I simply have more energy than you. It takes much longer if you want to tire me out.”

”As expected, that’s the case, huh?” Tommi let out a long sigh. His defeat was justified. ”It looks like I have to get even stronger now. Next time, I will definitely defeat you.”

”Looks like I’ve managed to do my job as an evolution master.” Auric winked playfully.

Tommi smiled. Auric had indeed succeeded. The fire in Tommi’s heart had been weakened because of the lack of challenges.

Auric had reignited that fire. This Tommi was much more ferocious and might be even more talented than the sheltered Tommi.

That was why Tommi said, ”Indeed. It looks like I owe you. Thanks to this fight, I know what I’m supposed to do next.”

”Is that so? I’m glad.” Auric nodded and extended his hand.

Tommi shook his hand firmly. ”It’s truly a pleasure to meet you, Auric Elfe. I owe you one.”

Auric chuckled. ”It’s fine.”

”No. I pay my debts.” Tommi shrugged. ”By the way, give me your number. We’re friends now, right?”

Auric took out his phone. When he was about to give his number, Tommi asked, ”So, have you been improving like this? Is anyone challenging you? If not, then you must have a girlfriend. You must have a person that can drive you forward.”

Auric shook his head. ”I just want to get stronger because I have a different goal. There’s no such thing as what you’re thinking about.”

”Is that so? Should I become your girlfriend?”

Auric’s body froze. He knew he had good looks, but this was something he wasn’t prepared for.

Auric looked at their handshake and immediately released Tommi’s hand and took a few steps back.

”What’s wrong?” Tommi grinned and stepped forward.

”I don’t think we’re friends. Don’t come closer. You stay there! Stay back!” Auric kept walking away while Tommi was approaching.

Realizing he was at the edge of the stage, Auric simply jumped off and ran away. ”Don’t chase me!”

Tommi chased him until he reached the door. In that instant, he turned around with a big smile on his face. ”See? He runs away. This time, our score is 1-1. Easy victory.”

”...” People were speechless. Tommi’s personality was not what they expected. In fact, he looked more cheerful and energetic after the fight.

Maya had a wry smile on her face. ”What am I supposed to say here?”

They wanted to continue this event, but after seeing the fight between Tommi and Auric, they realized that no matter what they did, it wouldn’t be comparable to their fight.

”Amazing! To think that Auric is not only a talented evolution master, but he is also a powerful fighter.”

”Yeah. I didn’t expect Auric to actually defeat Tommi.”

”This generation is definitely something to look forward to.”

”Maybe we should find a way to snatch them both.”

Maya walked to Principal Fernandes and said, ”You take care of the situation here. I’ll take care of Auric.”

Principal Fernandes whispered, ”Do one better. Just go straight to the airport. You can go back first. Don’t let these people have a chance to even greet him.”

”You got it.” Maya nodded.

The conference ended with this fight. No one tried to replicate what Auric or Tommi had just done. In the end, Auric became the center of attention because of all his talents.

Because Maya immediately brought Auric to the airport, no one managed to catch him. Even if they followed him to Thunderer City, they had to face Grand Magica College first.

However, there was actually one more person who was able to witness everything that happened at this conference.

It was none other than the one who lent them the venue—Ellia.

Ellia narrowed her eyes, watching the video recording carefully. ”In the end, he revealed the third element. Auric’s biggest advantage is the amount of his energy he possesses. He can easily possess nine people’s worth of energy. With all the elements combined, he is practically invincible.

”Besides, he is a unique-element evolution master. Evolving is not a problem for him. Can he really evolve his avatar to the highest level?”

Ellia crossed her arms. Just thinking about this possibility made her wonder if she also had that chance.

However, she couldn’t help but witness the last thing she saw after the battle.

”Why did he run away? What exactly did he say to Auric?” Ellia frowned. Unfortunately, she couldn’t figure anything out due to the distance from the camera. ”Well, I should delete the footage. I can’t afford to have anyone come for him. He’s bound to rise, but I’m not going to feed them with all that information.”

...

While everyone was talking about Auric, the governor took this chance to meet Tommi privately.

”Hello, Student Tommi... I can call you that, right?” The governor smiled.

”Yes.” Tommi nodded. ”Do you need anything from me?”

The governor raised two fingers. ”There are two things I want to talk to you about. The first is a sponsorship. Surely, you understand what I’m trying to say already. The government would like to sponsor you because we believe in your talent.”

Tommi frowned. ”Since you approached me, you must have approached Auric as well, right?”

The governor nodded. ”I haven’t met him yet, but I’m planning to apply for another sponsorship for him. You don’t have to worry about that. It looks like the relationship between you two is not bad. Maybe you’re serious about what you said earlier on the stage.”

”Of course not. I just have a thick enough skin to play around.” Tommi harrumphed. ”However, if you plan to sponsor him as well, I don’t mind accepting it. He’s probably the first person to understand me.”

”Understand you?”

”Yeah. I will be leaving Princedome University. If the governor is planning to sponsor me, shouldn’t you also help me develop my talent? Thanks to him, I know what I’m supposed to do now.”

”Of course. If that’s what it takes to help you, I’m willing to help.” The governor nodded. ”What do you need?”

”I want to leave and go to a place where I can continue to have challenges. At Princedome University, my life was boring. The principal was overprotective, and I couldn’t fight anyone.

”Without any challenges, the fire in my heart stopped burning. As a result, I realized I hadn’t been improving at the pace that I should have been.

”Auric made me realize that, and I think I’m ready to take on that challenge. That’s why I want to go to a place where I can continue to fight. It doesn’t matter if I lose a fight. It doesn’t matter if I lose my life.

”As long as I don’t have to live in boredom, I’m prepared to take on any challenges. That’s why if you want to sponsor me, that’s the first condition. If you can’t accept that condition, I’m planning to go to a place that is ready to accept that condition.”

The governor was slightly surprised. He suddenly realized that Auric actually fought him under such circumstances. If Auric were fighting him for real, the governor couldn’t imagine how fast Auric could win against Tommi. It looked like he had underestimated Auric.

The governor thought for a moment before saying, ”Losing your life is a bit too much. A dead genius is nothing. If you want challenges, I can suggest a place to you. If you can accept us giving you some suggestions, then we don’t mind accepting your condition.”

”Suggestions?”

”Yes. Of course, we intend to let you fight all you want. We will just stop you when you are doing something reckless. For example, if you suddenly say you want to challenge a rank 2 beast, we should stop you, right?”

”So, you want to act as a brake?”

”Exactly.”

Tommi looked down, contemplating. ”As long as the brake is not too restrictive, I don’t mind it. If you cage me again, I’m going to break free.”

”That’s fine with me.” The governor nodded, satisfied. This way, he could provide experience for Tommi while making sure that he stayed protected.

”Sure, I can accept this one. What about the second thing you want to tell me?”

”It’s just advice from an old man like me, but after seeing you like this, I don’t think it’s necessary. It doesn’t look like you’re impacted by the result of the match.”

”Of course. Why should I? It’s natural for someone to lose. Is there even someone who hasn’t lost his entire life?”

”There is that undefeated guy from the east, though.”

”He must be a virgin then.” Tommi shrugged.

The governor was startled. Tommi was truly unrestrained after that fight. However, it ended up making him laugh. ”Hahaha. This is good. All right. I understand what kind of person you are now. I think I can suggest a place that may be able to fulfill your needs.”

”Where is it?”

”Kallarnos University. This is the most prestigious university in our country. A lot of big geniuses have gone there. At the very least, I can name a few whose talents can match yours. If you go there, you can go wild. I will talk to the principal not to protect you, but with this, you may end up getting defeated and bullied over there.”

”Bullied?” Tommi snorted. ”Let’s see how they try to bully me.”

”Very good. In that case, I will talk to Kallarnos University. I should be able to get the response in a few days. During that time, you should prepare yourself.”

”Understood.” Tommi nodded. ”By the way, will Auric go there as well?”

”I’m not sure. I haven’t talked to him.”

”Fair enough.” Tommi crossed his arms. ”Fine then. As long as I can continue fighting, I don’t mind going anywhere.”

”Okay. I’ll take care of it.”

Feeling satisfied, Tommi walked away.

The advisor returned not long after, carrying a document. ”Sir, I’ve gotten all the basic information about Auric. It’s just... the information is quite concerning.”

”Concerning? He’s talented to the point where I consider suggesting him to go to Kallarnos University. So, what do you mean by ’concerning?’” The governor asked.

The advisor gave a wry smile. ”That’s.... I believe you will understand once you read it. I want to investigate further, but I believe you should read this first to see if you want me to continue my investigation or not.”

The governor frowned and took a look at the report, only to be dumbfounded. ”This...”
