The Genius Evolution Store

Principal Fernandes raised his hand, forming a barrier with his power. This way, the hotel wouldn’t be burned down by the absolute fire.

Principal Fernandes declared, ”The rule is simple. Do your best. I will stop the match if it gets dangerous or if you decide to surrender.”

Auric and Tommi nodded.

”You can make the first move.” Tommi gave him the courtesy, considering he had the elemental advantage.

Auric nodded with a smile before activating his Plant General, sending his roots toward Tommi.

Tommi looked at the six roots with a bored expression. Just as he expected, this would be an easy victory.

So, Tommi raised his finger and tossed the small fire that formed on his fingertip toward the roots.

This flame instantly flared up and burned through the roots.

The flames were so fierce that the roots weren’t able to last for more than two seconds before they were reduced to ashes.

”See? This is useless. You can’t get me fired up.”

Auric smiled. ”Is that so? Let’s try again, shall we?”

This time, Auric used Forest Manifestation. As a result, roots and vines began to form all over the area, trying to overwhelm Tommi with numbers.

”This is a good attempt, but it’s useless.” The people shook their heads, thinking that this match was futile. They couldn’t see Tommi’s true power with only this much. In the end, Auric was just an evolution master.

”It’s over.”

”Will the talented kid end up getting crushed because of this experience?”

The people thought it was a shame that Principal Fernandes even asked Auric to challenge Tommi. If this fight had never happened, Auric wouldn’t have been haunted by this experience.

The governor frowned. He wondered if he should stop the match. After all, even though he wanted to see Tommi’s true power, he didn’t want to cause another genius to disappear.

Tommi stomped on the ground and released a burst of heat in all directions. ”As I said, this is useless.”

The flame burned through them without any resistance.

Auric couldn’t help but smile as he suddenly leaped toward Tommi.

Tommi thought this was a foolish attempt. He didn’t attack Auric this whole time because he didn’t want Auric to get hurt. But it looked like he should end this fight quickly to stop Auric from being reckless.

He wished for a fight between equals. That fiery close match where he didn’t know who would win at the very end fired him up.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t sense it from Auric.

So, Tommi gathered his flame in his right hand, planning to defeat Auric with this one technique.

However, Auric made his move first. He abruptly stopped and placed his hands on the ground. ”How about this? Are you immune to your own flames?”

”!!!” Tommi suddenly widened his eyes. The wind inside the barrier started spinning.

His flame that burst from burning Auric’s ability started to spin and create a tornado.

Even the people couldn’t help but stand up. Once again, Auric had surprised them.

”This is...” The governor gasped. ”Is it...”

The tornado enveloped Tommi. Auric was burning Tommi with his own flames.

”A wind element? Wait. Doesn’t he have a plant element?”

”What is going on?!”

People were taken aback. Principal Fernandes smiled. This was what he had been waiting for. People would soon know that Auric had multiple elements.

Tommi waved both hands to the side, dispersing the fire tornado. However, his expression had finally changed.

”You have two elements?” Tommi’s breath started to quicken.

”Who knows?” Auric chuckled.

”Isn’t it too late to play dumb?” Tommi’s eyebrows twitched.

”Maybe I will tell you if you win.” Auric smiled.

Tommi took a deep breath before fire erupted all over his body. ”In that case, don’t blame me if you get hurt.”

Tommi pointed his palm toward Auric and shot a string of flame.

Auric first used Plant Outburst to create a spike that would protect him. However, this spike was meant to catch the flame.

Once it was on fire, Auric would use the wind element to send the flames back toward Tommi.

With this, Auric had just confirmed that what they had seen earlier was not their imagination.

”He really has multiple elements!”

”Does that mean he’s an evolution master with two elements?”

”We need to check his information right now!”

The people panicked, trying to figure out Auric even more.

Even the governor might have underestimated Auric.

It would have been shocking enough to see Auric as an evolution master. If he really possessed multiple elements, this would change Auric’s talent.

His talent might actually be on par with Tommi’s.

”It’s still useless!” Tommi started to get excited, but it wasn’t enough. He snapped his fingers as his fire burned the wind that carried it.

As a result, the flame dispersed.

”Oh?” Auric was amused.

”You won’t be able to touch me. My flame burns everything. You may have given me a bit of hope, but this is not enough for me to think of you as a friend.” Tommi harrumphed.

He raised his hand and formed a drill with his flame. Then he tossed it toward Auric so that this flame would drill even Auric’s plant element, thus ending this battle.

Auric smiled. ”Is that so? Then, I guess I have to get you even more fired up.”

Auric’s plant element came from Arina. It wasn’t enough to be called a variant, since the rating was 2.2.

Meanwhile, the wind element he showed this time was the Typhoon Wind with a rating of 3.1. It was enough to be called a variant.

Auric had two options. He could either use the lightning element or the earth element to fight him. He had mentioned the earth element to a detective and showed the lightning element to the Evolution Association.

Looking at the intensity of this fire, Auric knew what he should use.

”This absolute fire is amazing. It burns both the ability and the elemental energy... It really burns everything.’ Auric couldn’t see something like this from the Eternal Night.

So, to fight against this explosiveness, Auric raised his index finger as purple lightning sparked at the tip.

”!!!” Everyone widened their eyes even further. Auric had just revealed his third element. Even Principal Fernandes didn’t know any of this.

He turned his head to Maya and saw her confident expression, realizing that Maya was actually aware of this. In other words, Auric had been hiding his full power all this time.

Auric wrote a word with his lightning element.

’Pierce.’

Auric actually used his Golden Finger. Instead of using the light element, he used his lightning element. He went all the way to imitate the battle technique that Mr. Popo used.

Once he saw that battle technique, he was mesmerized to the point where he even asked Lindwurm to help him.

He called this ability, ”Edict!”

The word flew toward the flame drill and broke apart. The ’P’ in ’Pierce’ up and hammered the flame drill from above. The ’i’ turned into an arrow that clashed with the flame drill.

The two ’e’s flanked the drill from both sides.

This ability, combined with the extreme element called ’Purple Lightning,’ was more than enough to crush the flame drill. In addition, the ’c’ and the ’r’ were still headed toward Tommi.

The ’r’ flew like a boomerang while the ’c’ flew like a crescent-shaped wave.

”!!!” Tommi leaped back as the ’r’ impaled his right shoulder. Fortunately, he grabbed the ’c’ and used his flame to burn it at the last moment.

”Kh...” Tommi gritted his teeth in pain. It hurt, but Tommi couldn’t help but smile.

Auric had just surpassed his expectations. He thought that this match would end quickly. He never thought that Auric was really confident of beating him.

”Not two, but three?” Tommi’s eyes widened in shock.

”What?”

”How can he control three elements at the same time?”

”The first element is just a normal element, but the second one is a variant. And now the third one is actually an extreme variant?”

There were a lot of questions in their minds, but they realized one thing. Grand Magica College had gotten themselves a monster.

The governor blinked his eyes in disbelief. He might have underestimated Auric and didn’t realize that there was actually such a talent in Grand Magica College.

He originally thought Tommi would dominate, but if Auric also won against Tommi, this meant Auric was a monster both as an evolution master and as a fighter.

Tommi, on the other hand, couldn’t contain his smile. ”Thank you... Auric.”

”Heh. Are you ready to admit defeat on our bet?” Auric smiled.

”Will that make me get even more excited than this?”

”If I say yes?”

”Then, I admit defeat on our bet. Entertain me more!” Tommi leaped toward Auric, his flame starting to flare up, this time even more ferociously.

Lindwurm said, ”Now that you’ve gotten him fired up, he’s going to become a much more troublesome opponent.”

’It’s fine this way.’ Auric used his Piercing Thunder. The lightning strike flew toward Tommi.

Tommi covered his hand with his fire and caught the Piercing Thunder. He used his fire to directly burn the lightning.

Auric snapped his fingers. Suddenly, the Piercing Thunder generated a burst of wind that dispersed the flame. It even freed itself from Tommi’s hand.

”!!!” Tommi was surprised because the Piercing Thunder ended up hitting his arm and the wind grazed his palm.

Then, Auric sent forth the Plant General to grab Tommi’s feet. Tommi tried to burn it, but this flame was taken advantage of by Auric to create another tornado that would burn Tommi.

”This...” Tommi spread his arms, once again dispersing the flame.

The people also realized the same thing. Auric with two elements might be surprising, but not dangerous.

However, the moment he revealed his third element, everything changed.

At first, Auric could potentially combine two elements, but this time, Auric could make three combinations.

It complicated his attack pattern drastically.

”Is Auric going to win again?”

”No way. We have to snatch him from Grand Magica College.”

”Tommiseus is doing fine, but Auric’s attack is still doing better. He’s also an evolution master.”

Surprisingly, the grin on Tommi’s face became even wider. ”You’re really interesting.”

Tommi gathered his energy behind him and formed a pair of wings. He floated in mid-air and flapped his wings. Feathers made of fire suddenly rained down on Auric.

Auric took a deep breath. If the Lightning Emperor hadn’t given the compensation, he would be in trouble because he wouldn’t be fast enough to summon the plant to block this attack.

Fortunately, he had received the compensation. Among the battle techniques that the Lightning Emperor gave, there was one movement technique that Simon used against him in the past.

His feet were covered in lightning as Auric moved around the area as though he were able to see where the feathers would fall.

Because of his new eyes, this feat was not hard to achieve. Then, Auric waved his finger up, extending the Lightning Blade toward Tommi.

Tommi covered his body with his wings. The Lightning Blade managed to graze the wings, but it didn’t deal any damage to Tommi’s body. The lightning ultimately got burned away.

So, Auric activated the Plant Outburst to send a spike. Then, Auric used Edict with his wind element.

The moment the spike was about to reach Tommi, it generated the wind element and dispersed the flame element.

However, Tommi’s fire element had become even more resilient and powerful. More and more fire started to gather and burn away the wind element.

After that, Tommi grabbed the spike and burned it.

”You’re strong, but I’m stronger!” Tommi raised both hands. A massive fireball formed above him as he tossed it down.

The moment it touched the ground, the fireball exploded, engulfing the entire space.

”!!!” Principal Fernandes frowned. He could still sense Auric’s presence, so he should be fine. But he was slightly worried.

Principal Fernandes gritted his teeth, wondering if he should stop the match now. He couldn’t afford to lose Auric. ”I...”
